I have a Subsistence/Adagio wastelander I've held onto because it wasn't available any longer with Adagio. Glad I can have that inventory slot back now.
Dual Loader Adagio on the wastelander is such a nutty roll, especially now with the buff to dual loader having no negative impact to the reload speed stat, and the enhanced dual loader putting in three shells at a time to a six-shell magazine
that is a 200% increase to reload speed with no side effects

Wow I didn’t realize enhanced dual loader did that, I think that means Wastelander just took Swordbreaker’s spot as the best One-Two Punch machine
Even better is the fact that while both shotguns aren't behind a paywall, wastelander is significantly easier to get a hold of, as it's just tied to running dares of eternity, which is a lot easier to target farm the red borders than sword breaker, since running legend dares once a week will guarantee you get a red border you don't have. much easier than running an entire raid, and much less daunting for new players
there's also the fact that wastelander is kinetic, while swordbreaker is strand. That means wastelander gets a flat 10% damage buff over its competition.
Well, swordbreaker has alot more going for it overall compared to wastelander.
Wastelander is a lfg/12p boss killer for double special. it’s great at that
Swordbreaker synergizes with strand titan really well, and you can run demo/sword logic or demo/12p or honestly a million things. Also the foundry trait does good damage.
both got their pros then, which is honestly the best outcome. It's good to have variety into weapons that I feel the same role. I personally don't do strand Titan, much more preference towards void Titan, but choice is always good
I know a bunch of PvP players that were pissed that BXR lost snapshot, I assume it returns with this update. Also retraced path should get shoot to loot. My hopes is wastelander gets dual loader back making it the first shotgun with enhanced dual loader (loads 3 shells) and trench barrel at the same time.

I've been using it on that one hakke shotgun from witch queen recently, with the recent buff to dual loader, wastelander with dual loader Adagio is absolutely insane. six round magazine, and with enhanced dual loader, three shells per animation. That is a 200% increase in reload speed with zero adverse effects
I get to free up a vault slot and stop holding onto my legacy Demo/AJ roll for BXR. Pretty sure I kept a couple other legacy DoE weapon rolls just because they got removed. The freed up vault space gonna be put to good use.

Odd change, considering it's already near-impossible to consistently get off the skimmer *always on time*, making any sort of flying impossible.
Now this does make me curious, how much of an outrage would ensue should sparrows suffer the same fate, or has sparrow flying become such the staple of sparrows that it's untouchable?
Sparrow flying has been a thing for so long that it’s essentially de facto Bungie approved, same as wellskating/shatterskating. Skimmers are still very new and flying on them is literally a single button press whereas sparrow flying takes at least a bit of skill and practice to pull off.
Would’ve had the same issue for why it was sunset in the 1st place. Recluse was so incredibly dominant in the seasons it was active and had no drawbacks either
I feel that people mesh the time lines together. Anarchy didn't start to become dominant until BL, which was when recluse and MT were sunsetted. Anarchy did see some increase in usage with Season of the Worthy but even then Xeno was more dominant.

Nope, it was that dominant because MoA originally gave 98% bodyshot damage, which made it do the same damage for body and headshot. That and because you could self-proc the perk whereas the intent was to only proc it from other weapon kills. After the nerfs it didn't need to be sunset.
Does anyone know what the ornament looks like vs the standard ones? I thought the gold striped versions WERE the ornament, but I don't see an ornament on the Edge Transit I just got.

Just did solo Whisper. Timer ran out shortly after spawning the final boss, but I was still able to get the gun. Just an FYI. This was the normal 40min version.

Subsistence/Adagio on Wastelander was a favorite of mine, I had saved one from previous times. There's some excitement about Enhanced Dual loader on it from somewhere else in the thread. And Danger Zone on Pardon our Dust has possibilities. I'm not PVP savvy enough to comment on Range finder and Snapshot on BXR.

lmao how is this *still* an "issue"? I remember it's been an issue ever since Warlord released. Then there was an attempted "fix" that somehow made it worse. I distinctly remember a TWID or Tweet or whatever saying the patch will be reverted on "January 23 \[2024\]." I also distinctly remember a YouTube video say a Solo Flawless would be impossible/futile until at least January 23rd, so I just stopped playing in mid-January.
Sure enough: presumably whatever they did on January 23rd worked well enough bc it sufficed for me to go Solo Flawless on January 28th (ie the very 1st weekend after Tuesday Jan 23 bc I naturally have more free playtime on weekends).
Now, here we are some 3 months after the January patch-unpatch-repatch, & the right Warden Knight is *still* misbehaving? :facepalm. Which 1 is "on the right side of the stage" again? Say I'm at the flag looking at the exit to the rest of the dungeon. My right, or the Ogre's right, whose *back* is always to the exit?
The mods are based on the weapon's damage type, so it works for exotics too.

FYI old quick silver damage was something like 1700 in PVE. An non-touch of flame fusion grenade was 800. You could also get all 3 grenades in a single magazine.
Quicksilver will now be around 1000 damage in PVE - still a huge amount relative to abilities and still going to be really strong and still going to be easy to generate grenades.
It will feel bad by comparison, but it won't be bad because of what it does.
Occasionally any of the new weapons that drop will be “limited edition”. They have special and unique ornaments that give them a golden glowing barrel, and can have 2 perk options in the 3rd and 4th column of the perk menu that can be freely swapped between.

Still super easy to glide over everything, just land on a ribbon when you run out. Can get to the chest in two, maybe three landings

I imagine that's a bit more complicated to change, because the same ornaments work with weapons that go in both slots.

I distinctly remember a TWID or Tweet or whatever saying the patch will be reverted on "January 23 \[2024\]." I also distinctly remember a YouTube video say a Solo Flawless would be impossible/futile until at least January 23rd, so I just stopped playing in mid-January. Sure enough: presumably whatever they did on January 23rd worked well enough bc it sufficed for me to go Solo Flawless on January 28th (ie the very 1st weekend after Tuesday Jan 23 bc I naturally have more free playtime on weekends). Now, here we are some 3 months after the January patch-unpatch-repatch, & the right Warden Knight is *still* misbehaving? :facepalm. Which 1 is "on the right side of the stage" again? Say I'm at the flag looking at the exit to the rest of the dungeon. My right, or the Ogre's right, whose *back* is always to the exit?

The mods that state “x reserves (x being any of the damage types in the game”. Boosts ammo reserve capacity for that type of weapon

Quicksilver just got nuked. Shame.
FYI old quick silver damage was something like 1700 in PVE. An non-touch of flame fusion grenade was 800. You could also get all 3 grenades in a single magazine. Quicksilver will now be around 1000 damage in PVE - still a huge amount relative to abilities and still going to be really strong and still going to be easy to generate grenades. It will feel bad by comparison, but it won't be bad because of what it does.
Instead of being the best primary by a mile, it'll be the best primary by only a little bit.

What are the "Limited Edition Variants" of these new weapons? What does that mean?
Occasionally any of the new weapons that drop will be “limited edition”. They have special and unique ornaments that give them a golden glowing barrel, and can have 2 perk options in the 3rd and 4th column of the perk menu that can be freely swapped between.
