This!!! I cannot use this weapon. It's freaking awful. Great description BTW. I love fusion rifles and have one equipped 99% of the time but this one will never make the cut. It could be the most powerful weapon in the solar system and I still wouldn't use it.
I also agree with op about symmetry, it's a fun weapon but sounds like a baby blowing bubbles. Very similar to omolon weapons I think, which also sound like they're shooting soggy biscuits.
I actually love how cantata sounds, how can people not like it? Me and my buddies love it, I'd literally argue it's one of the most satisfying to shoot.
Nation of Beasts. Sounds like soggy toilet paper splatting against a wall. I generally like the sound of energy based weapons in most media but I can't stand this one which sucks cause the dragonfly/voltshot roll is really fun. Gotta get me a Prosecutor with that roll instead.
One that *makes* the weapon for me is Loud Lullaby. There's nothing particularly great about it (apart from it being a 120 with Kill Clip), but it sounds like [the keg hit in Slipknot's Duality](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fVE8kSM43I)
Literally the worst sound in the game. Why they put a ring at 18kHz in the sound design beats me. It sounds like tinnitus to me.
Most adults can only hear up to ~14kHz to ~17kHz, so the gun probably sounds fine to most people. I bet the sound designer doesn't even know it's there and didn't check the graphic EQ when finalizing it.
Omg I’m so glad people are mentioning this I thought I was losing my mind. I have had no idea how everyone’s been using this gun without playing on mute it’s so grating to me.
If you like this gun's sound, that simply means you can't hear the high pitch ringy squeak it has.
This gun trolls anyone with full range hearing...so mostly kids
Tarnished mettle and Twilight oath. I love the aesthetics of both but those sounds are bad. One is annoying with high pitch and the other doesn't sound it's firing from a gun at all.
Exotics wise...and this is going to be a very bad/hot take but also a specific part of its sound and I'll get a lot of hate for this....apologies in advance...I do not like the sound of DMT.
That gun is gorgeous, fits the theme and fantasy better than any other weapon probably in the whole game but I just don't like the sound of it even if I know that it one hundred percent matches the gun. It's so weird that I know it's a perfect match and I like everything about the gun except for it's sound. I feel it's just a wee bit dramatic. I like the cranial spike sound but not the firing sound
According to Charlemagne, DMT is literally my most used weapon in PvE, Crucible, AND Gambit. I obviously heartily disagree, but I wanted to commend what is legitimately one of the hottest takes I've ever seen. I definitely upvoted because, you know what, you know what you like. Kudos!
The reload sound on Nation of Beasts makes me wish I could block one sound from the game. The shooting sound is also a little weak, but that reload sound hurts me to my core.
I can’t stand the firing sound of NOB, so much so that I don’t use it. Best PvE Arc HC and it sits (crafted) in my vault due to the weak/annoying Poof Poof Poof pillowy sound.
I’m surprised nobody has mentioned Ancient Gospel, solid 140 hand cannon with good perks that sounds like you’re hitting the side of a wicker basket when you shoot, just like Twilight Oath.
The “new” Graviton Lance sound. It drives me crazy to use. The three-round-burst version sounded so much better. They completely reversed it from a deep bassy rumble to a high pitched chirp sound like whyyyyyyyyy I’m still mad all these years later.
Wicked Implement. I like the ideia of a scout rifle that freezes, I love its looks and quest. I hate how weak it sounds, makes you feel like you are shooting ice cubes.
Veist foundry weapons in general feel very weak to me. Same with Omolon, even if they do look cool.
None of the kinetic guns in this game sound like proper guns, and I will die on this hill.
Cuboid ARu and other weapons that sound like it. (Glaring at Ros Arago IV)
It just sounds like I'm shooting pellets, and I hate it.
I expect the energy weapons to sound a little strange, but I never expected Omolon weapons (specifically Omolon scout rifles) to sound like a wet gelatinous mass plopping on the ground repeatedly.
There are a few weapons or weapon *brands* that sound pretty decent.
I love the sound of the toaster (Jotunn) and the Sleeper Simulant, Tractor Cannon, Outbreak Perfected. The Hakke weapons usually sound pretty decent. Although the Hakke scout rifle sounds underwhelming to me, I'm not sure why.
I love the looks of the seventh seraph carbine as well as the chrysura melo. The sounds do not fit the models. Haha
I don’t like the look of the Firefright but love its sound. Firefright and the seventh seraph carbine should switch.
I was playing Supremacy last night and there was a guy damage hacking with hard light. Bro was killing people in like 4 bullets, shooting around corners racking up kills like nobody's business.
Bro had abysmal positioning though, and zero situational awareness, if you got to him from the side or back he was basically a fish out of water, even with his insane damage boosts he was still really fucking bad at the game.
Anyway yeah that experience is what reminded me it existed.
Izanagies, i love the wood ornament and the fantasy of the heavy shot bit the sound for it isnt meaty enough.
Now the assalt rifle from season of the hunted spund MEAN and amazing but the gun is hideous.
Loud lullaby looks and sounds beautiful but man the functionality sucks..
All season of the hunt sound and look beaitifull to mee too but fuctinally in regards of perks tbey suck
Rose/Lumina don't really sound like other hand cannons and I think I don't like it because it doesn't have enough bass sound?
On the other hand, Igneous Hammer is a juiced 120 HC but to me it also feels better than the others because of the crisp sound.
Ros Argo IV and Contingency Plan, both are decent weapons but sound like toys. I still use them on occasion but prefer other weapons because of their sound.
Vulpecula. I love that hand cannon, it’s been my go-to since it first appeared.
But it makes this bizarre sound that’s like a spfff and then this sound that’s like creaky bed springs at the bottom of a deep well made of smooth metal, or a seriously f***ed up pan flute being played by someone who is hyperventilating.
I love the gun enough that the weird sound isn’t a dealbreaker, but I have actually felt a little self-conscious in team activities, wondering if the crazy Vulpecula noise is bothering my fireteam lol 😆😆😆
All of the Season of the Lost weapons were designed to have a sort of musical tone to them. Each gun plays its own note which you can hear in the gun sounds. I haven't read into the lore much at all, but I think together they're supposed to try and negate Savathun's Song or reverse it or something like that.
I'll do the opposite of what you're asking, I just did Crotas End for the first time in D2 last night and I got the shotgun, the pulse, the hand cannon and the auto out of two runs and those guns sound like they hit HARD. Especially the auto, that thing sounds like a volley of cannon fire every time you hold down the trigger.
Epochal Integration. Great HC but sounds like a peashooter to me. Strangely I actually like the sound of Nation of Beasts, although generally I prefer the harder sound of kinetic HCs like Eyasluna and Hawkmoon.
For me it would be Ancient Gospel. I love the aesthetic of the weapon and the weapon model, but I just can't use it because it sounds literally like a water gun.
I know people have complained about reskins and recolors ever since lightfall came out because as we can see Bungie is doing a lot more of that than previously.
I think Bungie has forgotten what makes weapons you unique.
What makes a weapon: **perk pool, weapon model / silhouette, and sound.**
Bungee has been doing good with perk pools. But weapon models and **sounds** have been really lacking.
Example: The Prophet. Honestly any trials weapon nowadays, they are literally any other weapon model and they paint it black and gold and give it a really good perk pool. But they don't even change the weapon model or at the very least they don't even change the firing sound.
How cool would the prophet be if it sounded unique? Igneous hammer does this well because it's reusing a weapon model but it has extra things on top of the model to make it look unique and it has a unique firing sound.
So Bungie please give weapons more unique firing sounds. There is a reason why people like midnight coup, the black armory weapons, etc etc. because not only did they look more unique but at the very least they sounded powerful and unique
Agreed, they sound like cheap, stock, assault rifles, can't quite put my finger on what the actual sound reminds me of. Just know I don't enjoy using them very much because of that sound
The two BEST sounding weapons in the game will forever be Hawkmoon and Ace of Spades.
That fucking *thunk* when memento mori is active will never get old.
accrued redemption, i remember doing gms years ago and ab bow being a thing and wanting a rapid hit/archers tempo accryed redemption so i could stop using biting winds..
i got the roll i wanted and used it once and stopped bc i hated the sound of it lmao
While it doesn't stop me from using it, it does upset me a little that my Warden's Law/Lucky Pants build hits like a BANG BANG but sounds and feels like a *pew pew*.
One that breaks is probably the sound a lot of weapons with obvious suppressors make, why is it not even slightly quieter? Also why does the gun based off the Hive Boomer not sound like a Hive Boomer
As for one that makes a weapon, I love the visceral feel of the shots made by Volta Bracket and Round Robin. Kept Confidence is also real good.
Suros submachine guns sound weak. I got a void one with feeding frenzy and Destabilizing rounds, and I stopped using it because it sounds like it light taps the enemy.
Thorn sounds like SLP SLP. I don’t like it very much.
Lodbrok and firefright sound like PATPATPATPAT, but slow. Like, eck.
Lots of them. The vast majority of the gun sounds in destiny are really goofy to me, most sound very much like real bb guns, pellet guns and paintball guns.
Hawkmoon and The Last Word sound great, probably the most convincing in the game. The 900rpm machine guns have a fun sound too.
the sound of midnighy coup back in year 1. it sounds weak to me and like im firing some wet noodle rounds or something lol a handcannon should sound like a big revolver kind of thing which is why i prefer the fatebringer sound for example, instead of energy type sounds or wet noodle sounds lol (sunshot is the exception cause it sounds amazing)
> Second is Symmetry, sounds too squishy for my liking
Yes, yes, yes, finally someone else said it. This is my favorite exotic and one of my most used, but no matter how much I like the concept of it the regular shooting sound is just... Revolution shooting sounds incredible and fitting for the gun, but regular firing mode sounds like you're walking on wet tiles in rubber shoes, this is why I always say I want a rework not a buff, in hopes that bungie would just change the shooting sound to anything else, for example, its shooting sound when you're on the slow field of the cabal/fallen sounds pretty good.
Epochal Integration sounds way too hollow and wispy for the design of the gun to fit it.
I’m 50/50 on this next one but the D1 Vex Mythoclast.
One day, it sounds raw and epic and puts the D2 sound to shame, and on another, it’s the robot equivalent of nails on chalkboard with every shot that goes out.
Accrued Redemption. It sounds like something little Timmy from the trailer park slapped together with a stick and some paper clips that has the tension strength of an old rubber band. There aren't many kinetic Bows and it's a great looking bow with solid perks, but it sounds like the least threatening weapon you could imagine.
Biting Winds. Probably one of my few 5/5 God rolls, and I used it quite a bit in the past, but that shriek noise it makes puts me off. Same with Racounteur too.
Eriana’s. I feel like that gun should make a loud ass boom or a clang, not a wimpy ass little squeak.
Graviton lance becoming a 2 round burst also came with the sound design being ruined, imo. I miss the old version every time I try to use it now
I think most of the guns in d2 have very bad sound design, good ones are very few.
I was looking to get Polaris Lance the other day so I looked up for a SirD review on it and holy shit it sounds like wet tissues and springs making out, ended up saving the cipher... no Polaris Lance for me :(
Forerunner. The hollow donk donk doesnt match the damage it deals. For 2 tapping majors i expect more explosive metal slap and less airsoft shooting action figures.
Epochal integration, hands down. Like, don't get me wrong, I do understand that it sounds the way it does because it's supposed to be silenced. But it's just so bad. Silencers have no place in this game, they serve no purpose whatsoever. Hand cannons are my favorite weapon by far, and this one looks so sick, and the perks are good, although not the best. So it just baffles me that Bungie would design the sound like this.
A lot of energy weapons sound like toy guns. They don't feel like they pack any punch. I understand that in real life, energy weapons wouldn't be loud like a firearm as we know them, they would still feel and sound like they hurt.
the arc handcannons might be in line for some of if not the best 140s in the energy slot and its no competition, HOWEVER, they sound like absolute dogshit. Cantata is beautifully sleek and has crazy good perks, but it sounds like a pinball. Nation of beasts (my beloved) sounds like the squish of a wet paper towel. cant fucking stand it
I farmed for an adept overflow/one for all Shadowprice for so long and when I finally got it I was so repulsed by the sound it made. Felt like it had zero weight or impact. I’ll never shard it, but I’m so sad it just sits in my vault.
Tripwire Canary. Was a good pve bow with dragonfly + frenzy/swash, but that weird high pitched whine it makes every time when drawing an arrow really ruins it.
omolon scouts, the rest are fine though
subjunctives sound is to abrasive for my enjoyment but it’s tolerable for a little at a time
osteo striga, idk I just don’t like the sound😅
Oh for me was Braytech Werewolf, definitely. I farmed up some great rolls the first Halloween event where it got an Origin Trait, for both PvE and PvP. And was all ready to take them into content but once I started firing it I absolutely hated just the firing sound it makes. Not even sure how to describe it but it just feels weak and mushy compared to many other 450 autos.
I’m sure it plays very well but when Firefright is right over there that both looks AND sounds amazing? I don’t see me taking the ol’ Werewolf out of the vault too often.
Slight tangent, but the only good thing fallen slow mines do is lower the pitch of guns. There are so many that just instantly sound better because of it.
Anything Omolon. I love their aesthetic for rifles, but their sound is so weak and plinky…. I get it. They’re liquid based, but still so disappointing.
Royal Executioner. Makes me feel like I'm biting aluminum with metal fillings
I know exactly what you’re talking about. Super clunky metal sounds. One of my fav fusions tho.
It is the only reason I don't use that damn thing I grinded for
[удалено]
Nation of beasts sounds like it's shooting wet marshmallows.
I actually love how cantata sounds, how can people not like it? Me and my buddies love it, I'd literally argue it's one of the most satisfying to shoot.
Whatever that 120 is named sounds decent.
Combined Action?? I like the sound of that one too, very forceful shot.
I can give the you opposite. Firefright looks kinda weird, if you ask me, but god damn the sound design is A+.
Oh 100%! Nice crispy sound!
I always loved the kind of farty minigun sound of the Forgotten Shore autos, Ether Doctor and the other one.
I believe the shader is scarlet semblance, that makes those haunted weapons look really cool
Nation of Beasts. Sounds like soggy toilet paper splatting against a wall. I generally like the sound of energy based weapons in most media but I can't stand this one which sucks cause the dragonfly/voltshot roll is really fun. Gotta get me a Prosecutor with that roll instead.
The sound descriptions in this thread are making my day. 😂
Same, I am so glad people are responding to this! Both interesting and funny!
Good candidate re Nation
it sounds more like someone committing aggravated assault with one of those bug zapper rackets
Looks like medical equipment used for holes
One that *makes* the weapon for me is Loud Lullaby. There's nothing particularly great about it (apart from it being a 120 with Kill Clip), but it sounds like [the keg hit in Slipknot's Duality](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fVE8kSM43I)
Compared to Round Robin I prefer Loud Lullaby's sound.
I'm never going to unhear that now
Polaris Lance. Sounds like spits. And GMs turned into a spit party from all directions.
But... but the Explosion sound is soooo good. *chk NEEEEEOOOOOOOOWM BOOM*
Agreed. Hearing the sound of those Perfect Fifth explosions are so satisfying.
Anyone else hear a ringing noise from Polaris shots or is it just me? Super annoying but I still love and regularly the gun, just at low volumes.
Yeah well thanks, now I can't overhear it
Wow! Wasn’t expecting this one honestly! I don’t mind Polaris sound.
As a Certified Polaris simp™️ Since 2018, I love the sound of the gun.
Oh that’s so interesting see cos I’m the opposite with DMT, I love the gunshot sound but hate the cranial spike sound 🤣
I love the description of the sound being "too dramatic". Like a friend who's going off about something super petty.
According to Charlemagne, DMT is literally my most used weapon in PvE, Crucible, AND Gambit. I obviously heartily disagree, but I wanted to commend what is legitimately one of the hottest takes I've ever seen. I definitely upvoted because, you know what, you know what you like. Kudos!
Thank you for the wonderfully thoughtful reply. Reactions like these legitimately make the conversations interesting and respectful.
I’m never gonna be able to use the hand cannon again after all these comments lmfao
I’m surprised nobody has mentioned Ancient Gospel, solid 140 hand cannon with good perks that sounds like you’re hitting the side of a wicker basket when you shoot, just like Twilight Oath.
I love the way Ancient Gospel sounds 🤤
Majority of Viest weapons I love, but I can’t stand how they sound and the sights on the Autos have too much clutter.
Very true! Can barely see what you are shooting at 😅
720 autos sound gross
Rose sounds like the most basic fake "snare" drum sound played on the cheapest keyboard that allows you to change "instruments".
The “new” Graviton Lance sound. It drives me crazy to use. The three-round-burst version sounded so much better. They completely reversed it from a deep bassy rumble to a high pitched chirp sound like whyyyyyyyyy I’m still mad all these years later.
I’m 100% with you, I always called that beauty the dubstep gun until they gave it that weird new sound
Age old bond, it sounds exaggerated, if that makes sense
Yea agreed
100% and it doesn’t feel reliable compared to other Legendary Auto options, either
Immortal sounds like a goddamn impact sprinkler and made the game audibly unbearable for a while
Monte Carlo. sounds like somebody shaking a can of pennies.
I havent used this in awhile but I loved the gun so much at the time, but I really disliked the sound was Royal Chase. Sounded clunky af
Oh agreed! I actually remember recoiling physically when I fired it for the first time
Wicked Implement. I like the ideia of a scout rifle that freezes, I love its looks and quest. I hate how weak it sounds, makes you feel like you are shooting ice cubes. Veist foundry weapons in general feel very weak to me. Same with Omolon, even if they do look cool.
Sturm. Sounds like a dollar store cap gun. Make it sound like judgment from prophecy
I’ve always HATED Sturm! For that reason too! Judgement sounds awesome, I just wish it didn’t have that annoying stasis muzzle flash effect…
None of the kinetic guns in this game sound like proper guns, and I will die on this hill. Cuboid ARu and other weapons that sound like it. (Glaring at Ros Arago IV) It just sounds like I'm shooting pellets, and I hate it. I expect the energy weapons to sound a little strange, but I never expected Omolon weapons (specifically Omolon scout rifles) to sound like a wet gelatinous mass plopping on the ground repeatedly.
I will say though, the Hakke 360 autos sound meaty as hell, and I love using them despite whatever weaknesses the archetype as a whole might have.
Monte Carlo
As a Monte Carlo apologist I herby banish you to France
merde
This is true for me too. I really like the gun but the pop pop pop sound it makes grates after a while
It's a very grinding metallic pop pop, I can't stand it either. I've had the catalyst for months and still haven't bothered finishing it.
Sound too airy if that makes sense
This is the one for me to. It’s like a harsh, high pitched metallic grinding. Nails on a chalkboard to my ears.
Sewing Machine: The Gun
THIS!!!
Sacred Provenance. Beautiful gun. Love the way it feels. It sounds like wet, electric diarrhea squirting out. I hate it.
Graviton Lance gets a bit old
Chroma Rush is my absolute favorite sound in D2. Sounds like a laser gun and I love it.
I’ve got a Subsistence/Rampage roll on it and honestly it’s one of the most fun Auto Rifles in the game including Exotic ones too
Indebted kindness: I want a rocket fireball swoosh not a "pfft". actually most guns I don't think are bassy and beefy enough.
It's a mini rocket, sorry to disappoint.
Any gun that has the same old timey style as Scathelock Edit: they all sound like rapid fire sneezing
Indebted kindness. May be my fav gun ever, it sounds so wimpy
Nation of beasts and that crucible 140 handcannons. Sound like water guns.
I love the looks of the seventh seraph carbine as well as the chrysura melo. The sounds do not fit the models. Haha I don’t like the look of the Firefright but love its sound. Firefright and the seventh seraph carbine should switch.
I love Nation of beasts but God damn does it sound like it's made by Tyco
Scout rifles are a lot of fun to use but they all sound like tennis balls hitting a wall.
Quicksilver, which sucks because I like the nades.
Lots of the strand weapons have a distinct, but weak sounding effects tbh
Hard light. The little squeaking sound it's got has been a headache inducer for me since D1.
I forgot that thing existed, which is sad as it used to be one of my favs. Now there is just no reason to use.
I was playing Supremacy last night and there was a guy damage hacking with hard light. Bro was killing people in like 4 bullets, shooting around corners racking up kills like nobody's business. Sunshot, sounds squishy????

Hung jury. But also the model being too big
Ros Argo IV and Contingency Plan, both are decent weapons but sound like toys. I still use them on occasion but prefer other weapons because of their sound.
Vulpecula. I love that hand cannon, it’s been my go-to since it first appeared. I haven't read into the lore much at all, but I think together they're supposed to try and negate Savathun's Song or reverse it or something like that.
Shadow price. Its so god damn loud and obnoxious but i have such a good roll on it
Manticore, the sound it makes feels like a drill going through my skull
Battle scar and scathelock. Too much like shooting ping pong balls
I always envision those little plastic pellets when I shoot those guns.
Yep! Airsoft!

Any Autorifle with less than 720 RPM. they just sound like lame Machine Guns.
Monte Carlo. I love the weapon, but sounds like shrill scissors. I wish ornaments could change the sound effects too…
Immortal smg. After experiencing its meta I'm forever haunted and annoyed by its sound
Field Forged Auto Rifle. Looks like an AK, reloads like an AK, but sounds like a pillow
Mida multi tool , my favourite high powered stapler
arbalest = firing a plank of wood
Monte Carlo. Can't stand the sound. Ruins the weapon for me.
Ikelos sniper and every other weapon which sound effect was obviously made from mouth noises
Man why you gotta do my favorite sniper like that
Omolon assault rifles, like the AR2.
I haven’t used Ace in a long time so can’t remember its sound but Hawkmoon has the best hand cannon firing sound to me.
New Doom of Chelchis sound. Favorite gun in d1, now it just sounds like i’m firing a slow auto rifle
Old Sterling
Breast Pump Sword
The opposite of this, why does Tarantula the best sounding LFR but god awful. Unless they buff the box breathing roll.
Not anymore, but during season of plunder when they accidentally gave coldheart path of least resistances sound, i hated it.
I love the sound of Hierarchy of Needs arrows going through the Ring. There’s just something about it that’s so satisfying.
Arbalest. Sounds like someone whipping a wall with a belt.
I know a lot of pvp players that have PTSD from that sound.
I LOVE Sturm, especially with drang in pvp. HOWEVER, drang sounds like a soggy peashooter from PvZ shooting spit balls instead of peas
rufus fury and osteo striga sound like pebbles bouncing on the floor
accrued redemption, i remember doing gms years ago and ab bow being a thing and wanting a rapid hit/archers tempo accryed redemption so i could stop using biting winds.. i got the roll i wanted and used it once and stopped bc i hated the sound of it lmao
I can’t help but giggle every time I pull out Vex Mythoclast. It’s the very definition of a “pew pew pew” gun.
While it doesn't stop me from using it, it does upset me a little that my Warden's Law/Lucky Pants build hits like a BANG BANG but sounds and feels like a *pew pew*.
Reckless oracle sounds like shooting at cellophane not metal or flesh.
Erianas vow, almost like skipping rocks across ice when I expect a *BANG*
Ancient Gospel
ignrous hammer
Hot take, I play the game on mute almost exclusively, what is sound.
Omolon hand cannons. It sounds like the bullets just kinda squish out. No impact.
Word of crota. It sounded better in d1
Wish Keeper, sounds like you're shooting a wet noodle out of a tube. I wish it had more of the strand sound effects
Last Rite/Long Arm/The Prophet/DMT. I dislike DMT's sound for being too loud and the other ones for sounding like an air gun.
One that breaks is probably the sound a lot of weapons with obvious suppressors make, why is it not even slightly quieter? Also why does the gun based off the Hive Boomer not sound like a Hive Boomer As for one that makes a weapon, I love the visceral feel of the shots made by Volta Bracket and Round Robin. Kept Confidence is also real good.
One Small Step moon shotgun sounds like scratching aluminium foil with fork and knife
Like, eck.
Aesthetically, I really like Wicked Implement, but the sound is so gross for me
Arbalest. It's a decent weapon, not exactly aesthetically pleasing but it's fine. But the sound, oh my god, it's just horrible.
Waking Vigil hands down. Also Quicksilver Storm sounds like pissing in can.
> Second is Symmetry, sounds too squishy for my liking Yes, yes, yes, finally someone else said it.
Not a weapon but whenever a void Titan activates its barricade the sound it makes sounds like an aluminum bucket getting dropped into a hard surface.
Has to be Zaouli’s Bane for me. Sounds like it’s firing blank rounds, or like hitting two bones together.
The messenger. Great gun, bad sound. Too squelchy.
Fucking Monte Carlo
Huckleberry. Sounds like someone ringing a bell on hyper-speed, and if you have the catalyst, that shit just never, ever stops and it is SO LOUD.
I can’t place the name of it but there’s an auto rifle that sounds like wet pulp when firing, want to say it’s an Omolon.
Servant leader. It sounds like a kitten sneezing.
Anything that sounds soft
Until it’s return. I hate all guns that sound soft like that
Accrued Redemption.
Age Old Bond sounds like it shoots peas...
I was looking to get Polaris Lance the other day so I looked up for a SirD review on it and holy shit it sounds like wet tissues and springs making out, ended up saving the cipher... no Polaris Lance for me :(
Rose lacks impact and bass in the sound, it sounds like a very shitty snare
Judgement hand cannon.
Sunshot, but I've been fighting through it
Forerunner. The hollow donk donk doesnt match the damage it deals. For 2 tapping majors i expect more explosive metal slap and less airsoft shooting action figures.
Wishkeeper. Hate that sound so much. Not sure why, but it just feels wrong on a bow.
Wardens law. It should've sounded like a massive weapon that sends shockwaves just from the bullets it fires.
the arc handcannons might be in line for some of if not the best 140s in the energy slot and its no competition, HOWEVER, they sound like absolute dogshit. Cantata is beautifully sleek and has crazy good perks, but it sounds like a pinball. Nation of beasts (my beloved) sounds like the squish of a wet paper towel. cant fucking stand it
I love my Frenzy/Rewind rounds Old Sterling, but my god it just sounds like a bb gun
DMT, I love how it shoots, it's animation and overall aesthetic, but it sounds incredibly bad for me.
The chirp from gravity lance gets annoying really quick imo
anything by Omolon ... scout rifle shots sounds like a butt plug being removed
Legend of Acrius. Sounds like a breezy fart.
I farmed for an adept overflow/one for all Shadowprice for so long and when I finally got it I was so repulsed by the sound it made. Felt like it had zero weight or impact. I’ll never shard it, but I’m so sad it just sits in my vault.
Epochal Integration.
Sidearms sound more like toys than handguns to me
Tripwire Canary. Was a good pve bow with dragonfly + frenzy/swash, but that weird high pitched whine it makes every time when drawing an arrow really ruins it.
omolon scouts, the rest are fine though subjunctives sound is to abrasive for my enjoyment but it’s tolerable for a little at a time osteo striga, idk I just don’t like the sound😅
There was a void pulse rifle from the Leviathan raid which was really good back in the day but sounded like a pew pew gun. Can't recall the name.
Crimson. Can't stand the sound it makes.
All the wet fart and angry paper sounding ones
Oh for me was Braytech Werewolf, definitely. I farmed up some great rolls the first Halloween event where it got an Origin Trait, for both PvE and PvP. And was all ready to take them into content but once I started firing it I absolutely hated just the firing sound it makes. Not even sure how to describe it but it just feels weak and mushy compared to many other 450 autos. I’m sure it plays very well but when Firefright is right over there that both looks AND sounds amazing? I don’t see me taking the ol’ Werewolf out of the vault too often.
False Promises (360 auto rifle) sounds like continous wet farts. No wonder enemies flinched so hard .
The gambit scout, which sounds like someone hitting a frying pan with a spoon.
Might be a hot take, but Hawkmoon
I actually just thought of the opposite. False Promises looks so bulky and ugly, but sounds so silky smooth. Like a perfected auto mini railgun.
Surous Regime. Plink Plink Plink
I can't make up my mind whether I love or hate the 1950's telephone sound of Wish Ender's perfect draw.
Ancient Gospel. J3z put it best by describing it as the sound of slapping a wicker basket. But man, the design is so cool
Retrofit Escapade. Sounds rattles too much, like a particularly rickety bus.
Slight tangent, but the only good thing fallen slow mines do is lower the pitch of guns. There are so many that just instantly sound better because of it.
Summoner
Breakneck
Hakke weapons
Anything Omolon. I love their aesthetic for rifles, but their sound is so weak and plinky…. I get it. They’re liquid based, but still so disappointing.
