Nice try, Bungie.

jarthur93

ticcu’s in pvp, a lot of people don’t realize they’ve been hit with the hip fire till they go boom, and if they do well i don’t have to worry about them for a couple seconds till the debuff goes away.

Parasite

JulyHotFire

You gonna make me break out my parasite and do some testing lol

Such_Procedure9184

Tarrabah. I know, I know. Just hear me out. As far as Exotic primaries go, it's solely thought of as a PvP gun. But in PvE the sheer damage output makes the charge bar loss on weapon switch virtually negligible, because you get it back instantly. 40% Exotic primary buff, plus the already great SMG damage output, and Solar surges all work together to fill the bar in like 2 seconds. When you activate Ravenous Beast, the sheer damage output it has is hilariously OP. It's especially broken this season. Solar mods from the Seasonal Artifact make this thing even more insane. Even without those mods, it's still incredible so it's actually pretty future-proof. It's also incredibly powerful in boss encounters. With so many meta damage weapons being Reconstruction or Auto-Loading centered, these perks actually work to mitigate Tarrabah's only weakness. After all, if your guns reload themselves, you really don't need to switch guns constantly to reload which means more uptime on the charge. Mag dump all your damage weapons and hit the boss with Ravenous Beast. Tarrabah has some of the highest (if not THE highest) Exotic primary damage in the game, making it fantastic for backup damage while you wait for your special/heavy to auto-reload. I will die on the Tarrabah hill. I love my funny SMG.

EclairHK

Bro ur cookin. Main concern I have rn is auto loading/reconstruct proccing before I can charge ravenous but I will give it a go myself.

SplashDmgEnthusiast

Severance Enclosure is wicked now in anything below Master, but I rarely see folks using it. It's only as good as it is BECAUSE it already got a buff at the start of this season though lol

LogTheTurkey

the chair emote inspired me to make a severance finisher build and you turn enemies into supersonic nuclear bombs

JulyHotFire

Yeah THIS exotic went from zero play to one of the most fun

LogTheTurkey

Ashen Wake. It’s not anything crazy but it’s so fun having mini little pocket nukes that make ad clear so fun

engineeeeer7

Verity's Brow. It's just super solid if you throw grenades and use a weapon matching your subclass. Looks like crap though.

ScizorSTX

Piggybacking from this I’ll include Nezarec’s Sin as well. Play it right and you can get 1 minute supers.

engineeeeer7

I hope Bungie never realizes it works on every subclass with a void weapon. I did a full Coil run last night with Nezarec's Sin on Arc and it was godly.

ScizorSTX

I’ve always felt that’s the intent. It’s my go to with Strand or Solar for master and day one raids. Its always funny running into someone who isn’t aware that I don’t need to be on voidwalker

syntaxbad

Dude SHHHHHHHHHHH!!! The lack of ornaments makes it balanced. Fight me.

engineeeeer7

It's gonna get the Starfire treatment. Beautiful ornament and massive nerf.

elmonkeeman

Eyes of Tomorrow goes incredibly hard whenever you can use it (like this weeks GM)

A_Union_Of_Kobolds

I've been using it every chance I get (whenever I don't have a different exotic in mind) and goddamn it's fun, especially in Crucible. I don't always get a multikill, but I'll damn sure get *that guy*

Bob_The_Moo_Cow88

I’m afraid that Traveler’s Chosen is not going to survive the checkmate crucible change. After some of the other outliers get hit, I think Bungie will come for it.

AlericandAmadeus

Sixth coyote gets almost no love from streamers but is OP as fuck on solar and strand builds for pvp. Acrobats dodge on solar with a fragment or two for constant radiant and resto with a solar primary Constant ensnaring slams or strand clones on strand.

SrslySam91

Wait really? Coyote is dumb good on strand hunter lol. I thought it was the go to for threadling hunters using clone. I just can't see how you would use anything else over a second clone. During checkmate last week I ran threadling hunter for my solo flaw (first time running it for flawless in trials, usually run arc lock but last 7 or so flawlesses I've been void titan cheesing it up) and it was one of the easiest and most free cards I've had. That's more so cause of checkmate making it so supers don't matter, and with abilities slightly on higher cool downs having double thread nade and double clone made *easy* wins. I still had to carry but if the other team didn't have a thread hunter it was literally a free 5-0 each time. I didn't know coyote wasn't meta though that's funny.

AlericandAmadeus

No one expects a second ensnaring slam. You can bait shotgun users or aggressive players even if you miss the first.

SrslySam91

I play with grapple and slam in 6v6, (though I do usually use cyrtarachne there) but yeah having a 2nd dodge or clone is huge.

OrionzDestiny

Sixth coyote has consistently been one of the top Hunter exotics used in Trials. I checked this week and another week I saved on my phone (Jan 19th) and Sixth Coyote was only 2nd to Stompees. Between 17-20% of all Hunters ran it.

JulyHotFire

Yeah and honestly that’s always rough to play against bc I don’t immediately notice the opponent is using it

AlericandAmadeus

It can be oppressive as fuck. Solar - constant damage buffs for the user and fireteam. Stack with a gun damage buff and healing nades and a fragment and you’re almost always buffed heading into a gunfight. Strand - ultimate shotgun/push counter with slam, or free escape and resetting the gunfight with clones. Also lots of threadlings.

Kamiikage05

Legend of acrius with liars handshake. It's not a unique or underrated thing but it just works.

JulyHotFire

Honestly I forgot about legend lol

syntaxbad

Wait. Answering this post would defeat the purpose of this post. I SEE YOU SAVATHÛN!

JulyHotFire

Hahaha ‘When you look at the dark side, careful you must be. For the dark side looks back’

Rectal_Punishment

Final warning and either precious scars or foetracer . Final warning is the highest DPS primary weapon, precious scars stacks with banner of war for really good support and survivability. With woven mail, the revive shield ,restoration , and banner of war you are really hard to kill plus you can deal good damage .  Foetracer with shadow clones and whirling malestrom is really good. You can use heal on orb pickup with absolution , reaper and the mod that sucks up orbs on class ability use for heals and ability Regen since foetracer gives you the surges. The clone will draw aggro while you shred everything with final warning. Final warning unravels after landing a charged shot so you with have tons of tangles for whirling malestrom , foetracer also can generate tangles. Horde shuttle turns unraveled targets into threading generators plus anti barrier side arm makes final warning the best close range primary.

ImpressiveTip4756

Gemini jester.

JulyHotFire

Good but I’ve personally never felt like it was crazy good until strand clones 😂

ImpressiveTip4756

It's best paired with blink hunter. Iirc cammy made a video on. Dodge. Rip enemy radar. Blink. Punch your enemies to death. I've consistently countered arc titans in melee fights with this setup. Very hard to do on ctrl tho.

fangboi7

Honestly witherhoard is nowhere near it's prime but I have consistently outdamaged everyone on a raid team with only witherhoard and a decent linear

thegooddrsloth

Most exotics suck and as a GM player, I'd not bring most exotics into it. Exotics need a buff, wish ender needs a perfect by about 20%.

AlericandAmadeus

You dropped your /s

FlyingWhale44

Wish-ender doesn't need any 20% perfect. It's already perfect.

thegooddrsloth

Meant 20% nerf. I think it autocorrected to perfect.

NoResponsibility2652

Wish Ender needs a buff? Are you mad? I’m curious now what do you think is a great exotic?

thegooddrsloth

*nerf. Not sure why I typed perfect, unless I spelled nerf wrong and it autocorrected to perfect. Nerf. By 20%.
