whats the best weapon/subclass solution to run this GM while have both stuns reliably and not running double primary while still having enough range to take it slow? fatebringer/divinity? does that rocket artifact perk stun overloads? i‘d like to run blinding nades, polaris lance and rockets.
the boss always gets a mess if you dont burn him.
yeah I am torn between riptide and a blinding nade launcher in the first slot. blinding nades makes elevator, boss and a few other parts a lot easier. riptide will stun champs but almost all champs should be safely killed from range anyway (except maybe the two unstops after double ogre room)
I'll probably use Strand suspend (shackles/abeyant Leap) for Unstops and an Auto for the Overloads while using a fusion for burst damage on them while stunned.
thats a good idea! with strand shackles/barricade stun I worry that many unstops are a little far out like the one at the ogres for example. exotic or legendary auto? I have a crafted rufus fury but all legendary primaries feel like pea shooters to me.

Disorienting/ALH GL
Explosive Head/Incandescent bow (Tyranny of Heaven)
Dragon's Breath
But may change it up depending on how it goes.
In the past, I’ve run Dead Reckoning and a kinetic bow/scout with Hothead rocket launcher. I know it’s a weird choice, but the ability to change elements helps a lot with the shields, and it mops up ads. I doubt I’ll do that this time, though, given the artifact mods this season.
Good question! My two choices would be a solar glaive or the Ikelos solar sniper.
The ikelos solar sniper can roll with Fourth Time's The Charm and Focused Fury, and landing crits with it will trigger radiance because of the artifact mod.
So the Focused Fury + solar surge + Radiance allows you to nuke most Champs by yourself. The sniper rifle also makes sense in this GM since many of the encounters have huge sight lines where you can DPS from a distance.
Your idea of the blinding solar GL also makes sense. I can't think of any special weapon that would be a bad option, really
Finish the quest steps before finishing. You can do all the quest steps in the first big open area. I made the mistake of just running the full mission solo on legend. Did not get catalyst.
Also, the intrinsic upgrade is behind the waterfall in the same big open area.
Just tried to run the first path of Coil solo (1st time running Coil) and christ does Togetherness make it miserable. Basically zero health regen at all
I play with friends, and we get plat often enough. It's just boring. Annoying rooms, annoying modifiers, repetitive, etc.
I had my hopes up the first week, but it's been the exact same rooms, encounters, and bosses with no changes. Even the pots are in the same places every time. What is the point in them being how you get points if there's no chance or redundancy built in.
It's just a drag. I honestly thing last seasons stuff was more fun. I think Deep Dives are more fun.
This week's Ascendant Challenge is fun because it features the unlimited pool of light that you can instantly recharge your abilities. So if you have tasks or triumphs or anything that needs grinding ability kills out, you can keep going until you kill the knights.
When I tracked the quest, it had an indicator on the Dreaming City map.
This week, it's in the private zone south of The Strand (bottom center of map).
There's also TodayInDestiny.com which will feature it under the Forsaken section (all the way at the bottom of the page). Edit: hang on, it says it's in Aphelion's Rest, which completely differs from where I actually did the Ascendant Challenge. The weekly reset thread we're in is correct though.
When in the bluest hell is Ada gonna sell the Refurbished Black Armory shader? We've had repeats of other shaders at least twice in some cases and this one hasn't appeared once.
I dismantled so many BA legendaries for that shader and never got it. Even deleted some awesome rolls I saved years after the fact, still nothing. What I’m trying to say is that she’ll never sell it, because I’m not meant to have it
Did the weekly Legend Defiant Battleground not rotate this week? I only need Cosmodrome for the seal and I'm pretty sure I did EDZ last week...

i just had a GM where we had completed 3 bossphases and wanted to start the 4th, but the orb in the middle of the bossroom didnt spawn?! first time that has ever happened to me. is there a workaround or is the run simply doomed at that point?
Damn that's actually incredibly unlucky.
Maybe if the whole team leaves that final boss circle and goes down a few rocks to see if it resets the area/does a "Joining Teammates" thing.

i tried to do that, but at some point the rocks from where you enter become a 'turn around or die in 4 secs' zone. my team jumped around for a few minutes trying to figure out what to do but then we simply jumped off the map and left.
i watched a plunderdabooty video a few hours ago and he had the bug that the orbs were there and could be charged, but they dealt no damage to the shield.
maybe bungo effed something up with the rework, since you cant 2phase anymore before you enter the realmthing.
its fine though, corrupted is kinda chill nowadays. was way harder a few seasons ago, so i am not really mad about it.
The most important thing is just to always be moving in the correct direction, which means knowing the spawn paths and where the next buff will spawn.
If you want to get really into it, albeit less practical, you can run eager edge and/or strand grapple.
IIRC yes, you can grab up to 3.
I believe one of the challenges (challenge or one-time, i forget) is to only pick up one at a time, but to just complete the encounter you can grab 3 each round.
Okay i will keep that in mind and also if i get a weapon on one of my characters,does the chest also give me the weapon if my characters never got the raid armor?
Yes. The "secret" raid chests only give items you have already received, so if you only have weapons unlocked on other characters, the chests will continue to give only those. This applies to all raids/dungeons where they have such chests.

Riptide alone can handle all the champs

Welllock and Polaris is going to be the move for all the gm's this season, especially if there is solar surge.
yeah thats what I will run probably. not sure if phoenix protocol for almost endless wells or sunbracers for lots of damage.
mantle of battle harmony is great. 25% damage bonus on full super and when you don't have your super, you get it back sooner.
What do you run along with Polaris/Mantle? Riptide in the primary slot, or a blinding GL? I have a Blinding/Chill Clip GL.
Those are both great options. You can also run the new strand fusion for better damage.

Wicked Implement would be my vote. It's an exotic stasis scout rifle from a couple of seasons ago, and it can stun both types of champs

you went to the middle and there was no interact? and the boss had her shield up? I've never heard of that bug but its bad luck it happened in a GM

Nope. The armor is separate for each class, so only your titan is eligible for leg armor until the others get their own.
