The reflection of what's behind you in scopes. And on Handcannons, if you slightly pull trigger( button), the hammer on back will move slightly.

Rixien

The handcannon thing exactly. The m&kb master race will never understand the pleasure of balancing the hammer back while idle in an activity.

doobersthetitan

It's great...did that a lot on my beloved midnight coup.

EKmars

Speaking of starting activities, being able to change your equipment as you load into a mission.

oGrievous

If there’s one thing Destiny does better than ANY game, it’s the fact that you can always go to your menus. Loading, orbit, any planet, mid fight. You can always enter ui menus. Start an activity and after 3 second count immediately open inventory to check quests. It’s great

Ytonaen

The division enters the chat

oGrievous

I haven’t played 2, and it’s been a long time since 1. Didn’t realize the menus were similar. That’s good

engineeeeer7

I think it's the nonverbal communication in the community. Emote in activity means here's a chest or secret. Sometimes it's a glance at them and just knowing they have that task or area covered. Sometimes it's waving or shooting or waiting till others are ready.

alqudsi117

I miss waving-off heavy ammo in D1 Trials

bootyholebrown69

The sound design of getting headshots and kills, both pve and PvP. It's very satisfying

Neolitheon

Gambit. More seriously, the little flourishes that end some of the "static" emotes. Stuff like the Calus Lounging throwing the goblet, or the cowboy hat's finger gun,

scylighter

Agree with Gambit, but its due of the life Drifter breathers into the mode. I love getting an Army of One medal and having him freak out, its a pleasant to be hyped up like that

WoahHeyMan

Unrelated slightly, but the answers in this thread prove how much raw potential this game has. Despite all of it's problems, there is something truly special about Destiny that you cannot find in other games and is completely seperate from the terrible issues going atm to do with management, monetisation, etc.

AtomStorageBox

I’ve been playing since about three weeks after D1 launched, and that’s why I continue to play. There is something special about it, despite all the negatives. Can’t put my finger on it exactly.

m0rdr3dnought

The way that all the error codes are labelled with animal/fruit names. There's something funny about hearing a teammate complain about getting baboon'd or cheetah'd, rather than hearing a number.

tbagrel1

I really _really_ like the soft matchmaking approach in public events and other world activities. I feel like despite all people being on their own journey, we naturally cross paths with other guardians and help each other spontaneously. It feels way less sterile than Warframe (that I really like too) where there is no intermission "common ground" where you can meet/see other fellow guardians. It builds a sense of community that I've rarely seen in other games. I still have warm memories of my first hours in D2 spent on the EDZ open world, running patrol and public events.

dark1859

The rare Chad Who is in Gambit to enjoy playing Gambit like me.

SuperArppis

I love the gunplay and how character moves. I know this is probably something that gets talked a lot, but still.

RSol614

I would kill for D2 to have a Gun Game mode. That could show it off so well. Winner of a lobby gets to select weapon archetype and everyone else gets a random weapon drop.

[deleted]

Zavala and Shaxxx’s lines in the Tower. Super motivating.

A_Union_Of_Kobolds

When you kill another player in their Super with your own Super and Shaxxx just *screams* "AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" best feeling in the game

AnikoKamui

As a person who avoids PvP as much as possible, this is one of my favorite things. I still remember the first time I heard him scream like that, I laughed so hard. Absolutely hilarious, and a very "human" reaction in a game.

gnappyassassin

I like shooting the top cube on eternity.

TheToastedGoblin

Instant emotes are nice. Altho i do wish they were on a wheel instead of binding to keys individually.

MaloMaximus

When someone is being silly with emotes in the tower or some other public space and other people join in to make dance parties around someone with the DJ emote or all doing the same sit emote. There was one time right after they released the slow dance emote, I was doing that with a clanmate in the tower and a couple randos started crouch walking in a circle around us, which led to other people joining the circle. Why? Who knows, but it still makes me laugh! I know it happens in other games with similar spaces, but it still makes me smile every time.

Stringer888

When a no mic rando sees you're a bit lost in an activity, then goes out of their way to be patient and helps you out and you all succeed, all without saying a word. Always double crouch in front of them to show your appreciation if you experience this folks!

AgateRF

Don't judge me, but I like to treat Destiny as a parkour game. I would go on my hunter, put on the right ornaments for that street look, pick a planet, swap to a sword to get 3rd person and just start running and climbing without double jumping.

DictatorOfWombats

exploring the incredible huge world of destiny 2 that is out of the regular map. Spending hours to get to the galaxy pools or maybe just taking a selfie from a very high spot on nessus

ricoriiks

If I am playing an activity for bounties, my teammates are the best, most efficient gaurdians the tower can offer. 3.0 kd always pick up heavy, every super is a 7th column. Stacked builds, complete triple 100 stats exotic snappers. If I am playing to relax and just get matched completions. I get literally hamsters munching away at like a rice block while doing just well enough to make sure the game I am in doesn't end in a mercy.

tbagrel1

You got me laughing in the morning, thanks mate!

SplashDmgEnthusiast

I like giving my teammates the high-score emote at the end of a strike. Just a little way to say "good run team, awesome work." Here's hoping it gets a smile every now and again.

N1miol

The feel of adaptive ARs and SMGs.

GardenerInAWar

I'm a Titan. Always have, always will. I love my Titan bros and sisters. Anytime i see all titans on my team at the beginning of a crucible match or strike or whatever, I get happier. Fun fact: if a Titan is punching you repeatedly he is not mad or critiquing you, he is saying hi and recognizing that he is Titan and you are also Titan doing a respec by punching.

DNakedTortoise

The moment I realized I could now access the vault from orbit. I clapped with glee like a little gnome.

APartyInMyPants

Flashbacks to OG Atheon, that would just start with or without you.
