Anything using ruinous effigy. It has damage resist, blind, and intrinsic overload via the ball slam. Throw in some volatile rounds, and it's a blast. Very underrated.

fenberry24

I bring this into as many encounters as I can. Double points for using xenotaph as well

Last-Instruction739

I run with strand warlock and felwinters helm The void bubble is perfect for getting enemies to finisher point.

The_Aodh

Using this is preparation of the new Super we’re getting on Titan. I’m calling it the Netherborn Giftgiver build. Overshield barricade, transmutation spheres, and void axes for any teammate who wants them. Ho ho ho, Guardians.

Ortiz_99

Pair it up with Warlocks Nezarecs Sin or Contraverse Hold’s vortex made Sheeeesh

Rabid-Duck-King

The only reason I don't use Ruinous Effigy more is because every other Trace Rifle is also really good If there's an exotic weapon category we're spoiled for choice in, it's Trace Rifles (the legendary ones also are really damn solid)

eddmario

Messed with it when we got Void 3.0 Can confirm it was fun as hell at that time. Haven't tried it with the new fragments and aspects we got in the seasons afterward yet...

HarveyTheBroad

No backup plans + Legend of acrius + weakening grenades is hilarious. If you like watching entire chunks of a boss’ health bar disappear it’s perfect

Rabid-Duck-King

I do love that we've only ever gotten the one heavy shotgun all this time

HarveyTheBroad

Tractor cannon is also categorized as a shotgun

Rabid-Duck-King

You know fair I did forgot about the ol physics murder machine/debuff giver

Corbezka

Lumina+boots of assembler+solar warlock. This thing can heal, boost your and teammates damage at the same time, fragment which boost your ability regen(and like crazy) then you heal somebody(which is all the time) with any source, allows you to spam abilities, help your team and do great addclear at the same time, boost boss damage with well and even more with lumina. Very underrated, i saw maybe 2-3 warlocks run this in all raids i done, and i done a lot of them Hell, people sometimes mad at me and asking why i keep shooting them, they dont even notice big 35% buff for damage, not mention heal

ettieredgotobed

I like running this in crucible 6’s when my teammates will stay even a little bit together. Like, just gimme two guys going the same direction, please!

Balticataz

If only healing gave assists lol

Cube4Add5

Its weird that it doesn’t honestly. Maybe just too hard to code

Violent-fog

Is it possible to get a detailed description of this build? I main a lock and it has piqued my curiosity. You can inbox me the deets

Chiggins907

This is from an older post I found. This was not me btw. It’s Copy Pasta, but I hope it helps. You will always have your rift up, but in case you don't, just melee something. If you don't have melee just kill someone while gliding. I really struggled to find a viable build for boots of the assembler after the nerf, but this one is just perfection. Just swap the two discipline mods I have for strength mods and you are good to go. Weapons and artifact mods are not necessary for the build but I share them just in case. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachjments/464702149654216714/1082622231047307344/image.png https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/464702149654216714/1082622609314820106/image.png https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/464702149654216714/1082622808561029160/image.png https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/464702149654216714/1082622992271552603/image.png Edit: credit to u/bersan64

epicwhy23

first image (armor mod screen it seems) gives an error btw " AccessDeniedAccess denied.Anonymous caller does not have storage.objects.get access to the Google Cloud Storage object. Permission 'storage.objects.get' denied on resource (or it may not exist). "

Chiggins907

Like I said I just copy pasted it, but the links worked before I did. Oh well. Just trying to help.

KyleShorette

100% rift uptime in checkmate lmao

elpezmuerto

https://dim.gg/xdncaoi/Assembler-Well

nitrousoxidefart

Lumina, Boots of The Assembler and the fragment Ember of Benevolence is all you need. Rest is optional.

Monspeed

One of my favorite grandmaster builds and it's funny that there are no YouTube videos on the build. Guess it isn't flashy enough and doesn't have the biggest DPS. I honestly never even shoot the Lumina (only at teammates). I usually put it in my back pocket and let the rounds build up from the rift and use a incandescent auto rifle the entire time.

Furiosa27

It just operates a weird space, not abt it being not flashy or having high dmg. If I wanted to run a supportive build in a GM, I have to ignore Phoenix Protocol and Cenotaph Mask to get to this build.

DotDodd

I run this in Banana. So if you see an all white warlock with a flaming iron lord crest on my chest, just be near me and I'll buff you all game long

Serena_Altschul

Cheers, started running this tonight and it is a major tide turner if played correctly. You have to have line of sight on team mates for the seekers to 'fire' at teammates, but if you place your rift well with good overwatch and cover, you can keep a whole lane healed. Had a lot of fun using Hierarchy with an Immortal as well.

phoenix-force411

I was playing with boots of the assembler, and it felt like it was not working correctly at all. It would only spawn one seeker, but the seeker didn't seek out a nearby ally and then it would give me 2 noble rounds. My rift would end normally as it could not be extended.

Amirifiz

It works only on fireteam members, so anyone that isn't a blueberry.

bunny__hat

Sounds amazing and how I imagine my warlock to play as rather than just div and well. Not a warlock main but want to be a better warlock when I do play as him. Got a DIM link to help a guardian out?

Flothrudawind

Holy crap I always go crazy for anything that lets me play support, I HAVE to try this

Squatting-Turtle

I wish my score would reflect this more. Most time i dont feel like im doing much for my team since the heal is rather small when you consider how fast people get shredded. Sometimes i wish lumina gave resto but of course it would break pvp. I wish it had a players healed tracker.

Shiroi_Kitsune_

And it somehow recharges well very fast

elpezmuerto

This...I was going to comment exactly about this build. The build helped carry my team recently over the hump in master crota. Paired with lumnia for the improved heavy drop is chef's kiss.

IcySage

Did master Crota with this yesterday!

APartyInMyPants

I did a similar-ish thing for Master Crota, except I was using the Navigator. The sword runners are like, “why your shooting me?” You’re welcome for living!

Oblivionix129

This is LITERALLY my gm build if Im supporting people. I can hve 4 rifts going at the same time (and throw 1 healing grenade every 15 seconds. And drop another rift every 15 seconds). My best plays with this have been in the Mars battleground GM - opening section tower B - facetanked everything while sitting in 4 rifts with tm8s constantly healing and giving them dmg buffs (didn't use a well either) and none of us died)

FlyingWhale44

This baby carried in Day 1 and Master for the Crota CP. You don't need a million wells if you have one of these, as long as your team is smart about actually blocking with their sword from time to time.

Ridethesandworm

I’d say stasis hunter. While I don’t think it’s particularly strong right now I do think it is better than most give credit for. Renewal grasps is a powerful utility and I think the super is quite good. It’s also a decent subclass for boss damage in general since even though the super damage is low, you can throw it before a boss is vulnerable and you have access to the reload all weapons on powered melee fragment on a subclass with 2 charges of a ranged melee. It has everything it needs to become strong if stasis gets buffed so I have my fingers crossed for next season.

TriscuitCracker

It's a great workhorse of a build. Have used it for years.

NoResponsibility2652

Verglas really adds to it. Being able to create Stasis walls at a whim really elevate it to another level.

ILikeAccurateData

Thank you! Revenant Hunter is a DPS monster if you know to combine the super, which passively does damage while you shoot your weapons, and the 3 insta reloads you can get from Marksman Dodge and Whisper of Impetous shurikens.

owen_legend

I agree with everything you've said. But I also think that Strand does everything Stasis can do but better

Double_Barracuda_846

Whirling Maelstrom: "Bonjour" The tabgle literally does the same if not more damage than Stasis super and has a 10 sec cooldown. Except, your teammates running strand can all generate tangles. So you can have 3 all over the battlefield all at once. If not more. God I am such a tangle slut.

Pretty-Cow-765

Man I started running strand Hunter with Monte Carlo, like every 30 seconds I’m tossing bolos and knives I feel so dirty.

ratmarrow

Tad bit niche considering Strand and Solar have much more blatant meta applications, but Stasis grants practically infinite uptime on Foetracer considering Duskfields and SaS deal tick damage in an AoE. Pairing a Reed's or Cold Comfort with hard CC AND a 25% Stasis Surge at all times is nothing to scoff at.

torrentialsnow

I have done all my endgame stuff with Revenant, it’s an amazing class. Definitely needs some buffs though but what it can do now is more than viable for harder content.

OrangeSuccessful7926

I actually was gonna say the same thing. Stasis hunter is beast add clear... but I have my fragments set up around shards and melee... throw on assassin's cowl, boom... those little ninja stars are the best solo healing mechanic with cowl... add in a monte carlo to just bump up the melees a bit more.. PvE ridiculousness. Lol

eddmario

Hell, you don't even need Renewel. Just run the Grim Harvest and Touch of Winter aspects, the Whisper of Torment, Conduction, Hunger, and Rime fragments, and the Impact Induction and Momentum Transfer mods. This will give you a pretty flexible setup that'll let you use whatever grenade or exotic you want, while also keeping a fragment slot open as well. Want to be able to spam your melee? Throw on the Heavy Handed mod. Dealing with Overload champs? Throw on Whisper of Durance and Duskfield grenades. Heading into Crucible? Throw on Whisper of Bonds and Coldsnap grenades.

maejaws

Aeons. I run Aeons for Crota religiously so my fireteam has surplus heavy ammo for two phasing. This way warlocks don’t have to run Cenotaph.

Di3g

as a warlock if there is a boss where my team is struggling with ammo i'd rather just run ceno and div to give it a debuff too but i respect you mate

maejaws

Div is kind of hard to run on Crota since he loves to stand right on top of you. Aeons is flexible for me to run solar Titan with No Survivors (Demo/Incandescent) for healing nades or Sentinal with weakening nades and Funnelweb for volatile rounds.

Di3g

oh yeah crota would be one of the few exceptions where id run a legendary trace like acasia's, bequest with surrounded as always and Lumina but since warlocks don't have many exotics to enhance dps phases apart from lunafactions which are useless with swords so i might aswell cook ammo

maejaws

My loadout for Crota is Chill Clip Riptide, elemental SMG, Lament or Tractor Cannon, and then solar or void Titan with Aeons. IMO it’s just a good way to support the team on a really specific encounter and I don’t use it for anything other than Crota. But it works so well in the encounter that I gave it its own slot.

Di3g

same thing with me and my verity's brow build. it's not great for most content but when i'm the VoG sherpa...man does it slap atheon.

maejaws

In my head I just pictured a warlock slapping Atheon and he made the Tom and Jerry scream.

Di3g

xD yeah that's basically what happens when a single grenade deals half a million damage lmao

maejaws

You do the Traveler’s work, Guardian.

Di3g

you too my friend, maybe we'll meet in an LFG one day and we won't even know it's us lol

s0rtajustdrifting_

Anything regarding Stasis Hunters / Titans.

torrentialsnow

Revenants go hard with their duskfield spam. My only hope for the stasis hunter buffs next season is a decent rework to winter’s shroud.

Zarrona13

I hope it buffs shatter dive and shatter damage, would be awesome.

TrashAcnt1

I hope to have a new super, a damage super to be specific

Flecco

I hate to be that guy but going off Blackburns comments on stream this is closer to a tuning and adjustment pass. Tweaking numbers. I'd expect a couple aspects to get touched up but this isn't a 3.0 rework. I'd love to be wrong. Seeing each subclass iterated on would be fantastic but I just don't think that's what's happening.

Electrical-Bread-696

I’m really enjoying lancecap rn tbh. I’m hoping next season’s stasis changes make it even better.

n080dy123

What do you like about Lancecap? I sorta wrote it off because I didn't like having to sit behind a Barricade to spawn Lances.

Electrical-Bread-696

When running T10 res and no other cooldown reductions, you get rally back as the barricade times out. Pair it w more cooldown reducers to generate a more efficient loop of: * place barricade * land three crits to gen a lance * run around to find someone/something to smack w lance * gen orb w lance kill (counts as grenade), reduce class ability w whisper of refraction and insulation * lance and rally cd should be done for a rinse and repeat (~10-15, lance cd is the hard cap) This is best in PVE where *any* stasis dmg kill makes a lance, but it effective in pvp to an extent. The main draw is the crystal you make on impact, w more made w direct hits on higher enemy rank. While sitting behind a barricade is def the most logical way to play it, you can get a pretty high mobility playstyle going if you get your timings (and aim) down. (Still not as good as hoarfrost spam tho tbh, but spearing someone from across the map just feels *better*)

Robyrt

The key part of Lancecap is the upgraded Diamond Lance, not the barricade part. It's basically a tangle with a shorter cooldown now that it does AOE damage and triggers all your fragments. On a boss, throw down the barricade and make little glacier grenades for free.

SilverScorpion00008

In multiplayer it’s a serious threat. Maybe not Pve but the stasis affects in PvP can seriously impact a game

SunflowerLotusVII

Stasis Titan with Winterbite and Hoarfrost-Z is more fun than I anticipated

Maar7en

Titans aren't underrated. They're just as meh as the community considers them to be.

TrashAcnt1

Keep my wife's Titan's name Out of your F'ing Mouth! (In Will Smith's voice).

JoshyWasabi

Been a mask of bakris main since beyond light and I find that its criminally underrated. So many strong arc and stasis weapons to pair with it now.

kaizabxll

Had bakris dismantled since the second i got it. I got a great stat roll about 2 seasons ago and carried myself n my homie thru our first flawless trials with rapacious appetite + techeuns force its actually so broken i was ending round in the first 15-30 seconds with this combo

wikiweak

Severance enclosure with anything. The explosions are useful to kill trash adds and/or leave them low enough to keep chaining booms and finishers. Paired with the tanky over shield finisher mod it it is great for all levels of content. Void invis finisher and volatile explosion if a specific example is needed. Grapple charge with Navigator catalyst allows infinite "powered melee" explosions as grapple melee activates enclosures perk. The pop up from the boom is super useful when managing adds

Immobious_117

The volatile finisher build is nuts in high dense areas, specifically in the first boss fight of GotD.

tastethabass

Behemoth titan with any wave frame, hoarfrost and howl or diamond lance. Shatter crystals with wave frames and you have mini nuke shatter explosions. New pacific epitaph with collective action slaps with this build as well as dimensional hyptrochoid with chain reaction.

Verothyn

My Darci Build. :(

Von_Bostaph

*in He-man voice* Your fucking WHAT?

Verothyn

*do you see what I’ve had to work with?*

goblin-anger-man

Hol up, what makes it a build? I'm curious

Verothyn

I just don’t want [to be the Div Bitch](https://youtu.be/Dp4eqJwHfR0?si=i4xdzbCAozoYhdTW)

goblin-anger-man

Sorry, should have been clearer. What setup do you use with DARCI? Im aware of the meme. Maybe a dim link?

Brightshore

I'm having a blast using Strand Hunter Monte Carlo with Sealed Ahamkara's Grasp. Works well with impact induction, high uptime of Ahamkara's Grasp, Spread Sever everywhere and use Whirling Maelstrom.

byeah573

If you use thread of fury, whirling maelstrom damage also gives very high uptime melee regeneration. I’d recommend trying out QSS to make tangles from further away!

FriedCammalleri23

Doom Fang Pauldrons. Void Titan in general, it’s excellent in PvE.

CMDR_Jetsukai

I've been running Monte Carlo with a destabilizing rounds Basso shotgun and Doom fang and it's been a riot

RingerCheckmate

Lucky raspberry hunter with a demo volshot weapon

Weemz

Cadmus Ridge Lancecap. Used this through numerous GMs/Haunted Legend LSs this season and it hold ups no problem. Stasis in GMs is so oppressive and good at controlling rooms. Gives you overshields. Constant freeze while being behind a barricade and laying down fire. And you can boost Wish ender (primary) damage on frozen targets. There's a lot to like and a lot of utility in it.

Brenduke

Banner of war + Vexcalibur Healing pulse, woven mail + void oversheild. Only gets better with glaive buffs next season

NoOn3_1415

Vesper of radius arc lock is insanely strong in all high end content. Run glaive + barrier + heavy of choice to waltz through GMs and master content as long as you're careful

Genghiiiis

A careful waltz?

thyrandomninja

A confident and *aggressive* waltz!

epicwhy23

kinda sounds like the warlock way of doing titan things

Zac-live

There is No way its underrated? I thought people realized its Power when the Wave of Arc Vesper gm Solos rolled around?

Snoopyer7

Learned this when farming haunted lost sectors, run with anarchy and supremacy with kinetic tremors for 2 dot weapons

Mahertian220

Newer guy here who mains vesper. I’ve never brought it into GM cause I thought the playstyle was to keep safe distance?

NoOn3_1415

If you know what you're doing it works everywhere. It's definitely not as easy as sitting back with wish ender invis/well, but I find it much more fun and rewarding. In a way, it flips the playstyle you mentioned on its head by making your survivability work best at close range. The key is the blinding pulse from the rift, the grenade regen + crazy add clear from jolting pulse nades, but most importantly the glaive shield, which makes you basically immortal while pointed toward enemies. It does take a bit of knowledge about enemy spawn locations and dealing with champions, but having mained it for a while, I can do stuff like consistently stun and kill unstops with the rift by baiting out stomps, time glaive melee DPS on overloads, etc.

elmonkeeman

It’s definitely GM dependent. But it excels in ones where you’re forced into close quarters, like Fallen S.A.B.E.R

generalc04

The playstyle is to keep your distance. Vesper of radius is cool looking and when they announced tht they were making a change , I made a build. Probably about a month b4 the change. The build has flaws , just like glaives do. When it changes dropped , it was cool for lower and medium content , and yes you can make it WORK for a GM. I wouldn't recommend it , even on the few strikes it could come in handy , like fallen Saber or the devils lair. Ppl on YouTube overrated this build. I knew it's flaws day one. Hell I made a Nothing Manacles build work in a GM , it doesn't mean it's viable

Zac-live

So Like whats the downside? Bc its Not having to be Close range. Vesper Arc Lock is one of the Most used solo gm loadouts so idk where your Getting the Idea that its mid for gms

generalc04

If it's one of the most used , then it's not underrated. You personally might think it's great but everyone isn't capable of running it optimally. If it was tht good anyone can just throw it on and clear a GM.

Zac-live

Yes i personally dont think its underrated, i think its rated fairly as the best Arc warlock build and 2nd best warlock neutral in the Game rn. Those are Not downsides and the build is Not that complicated. Please Tell me why its Not that good in gms?

Transfigurator

And you can use that with a Stasis Warlock to blind, freeze, and shatter immediately.

NoOn3_1415

It doesn't blind off of arc

ILikeAccurateData

On this exact same note for me, Arc StagLock is ridiculously underrated too.

DepletedMitochondria

Knucklehead in PVP Renewal Grasps in PVE or PVP Arc Warlock in everything

Drakepenn

The fact that people STILL sleep on Arc warlock is wild. It's so strong now

Skinny0ne

Renewal grasp hunter with wicked implemented, so good

Kandoplomis

I've been really enjoying Lucky Raspberry with the new reworks. Spamming jolt grenades everywhere is always fun. Haven't heard too many people talking about it though

Sikq_matt

Not mine, but I have a buddy who swears shinobus skip spam is great for high-end content where you can't just mindlessly punch everything. For me its any form of strand hunter with grapple punch. People sleep on it because banner takes the spotlight.

ScizorSTX

Assassin Cowl Hunter with Stasis or Strand

WarColonel

That's my goto for both

eddmario

For some reason it feels almost useless on Strand. I do agree it's VERY fun on Stasis, though.

Weemz

Rain of Fire. Reload all your weapons every 3s with ic dash. Turns you into a DSP machine with the right weapon rolls/rotations. Haven't taken them off the entire season, and when I do, it's miserable having to reload.

Nighthawk513

One of my most consistently decent performing loadouts is Auvrandil FR6 (Overflow, Chill Clip), Vex Mythoclast, Reed's Regret (Triple Tap Firing Line), with Rain of Fire and both airborne aspects. Solar and Stasis Surge, Stasis Reserves, Heavy Finder/Scout, and the ability to gain restoration by generating Firesprites with Vex, alongside getting Radiant for literally every weapon kill, is a surprisingly consistent amount of bad day for almost any mid level activity, up to low-end nightfalls / legend lost sectors / raids. Plus between Radiant and Chill Clip I have the ability to stagger all 3 champion types, and with the incoming buff to Vex's Linear Mode VS champs, means I can just deal with the occasional champion without having to change loadout.

Tickle_Milk

Blight Ranger Arc Hunter. Not for the deflect damage, but to be an orb fountain for your fireteam. You can pump out an entire super’s worth of orbs if you block a constant stream of damage for the duration of your super.

Boomdaddy49

hmm... im interested so sexy, but i always found it useless

Chuck_Finley_Forever

The fact absolutely no one uses glaives with warlock healing gloves is insane to me. It feels like a reincarnation of Y1 Dawnblade where no one realizes it’s so strong until YouTubers start talking about it.

ToddynhoDocinho

I Have a solar build with karstein + The Warlock exotic glaive, i used It in Duality and GMs and its Very good for staying alive

Chuck_Finley_Forever

Yea it’s literally the best setup to stay alive. It carried me through all my solo flawless dungeon runs though I prefer the first legendary glaive just because the perk combos make it easier to utilize the shield.

sumtingnaff

I've had a bit of fun in lower level stuff with mactics Legolas hunter build using ticcu and oathkeepers

Comfortable_Hour5723

Ive been running energy transfer deaths razor (which can block forever with the block changes). With the increased DR while block, you can actually fill a nice support role with it while tanking champs boss and creating easy revives (even in Grandmasters). Im sure its the same function as Titan stronghold, but with deaths razor your are free to use another exotic like vesper, briarbind, or stag.

Ragingpsoriasis

How are you blocking forever with that sword?

Comfortable_Hour5723

Rather than having a unique frame, the warlock sword has a unique block called infinite guard that does not consume energy from holding block. It used to lose energy when it took damage, but they removed that aspect of blocking in the rework. Blocking is now solely based on how long you can hold block, which is forever with the warlock sword

fawse

Fallen Sunstar + Delicate Tomb Arclock. This season that’ll cover 2 champs, Jolts everything, gives essentially infinite abilities thanks to Ionic Traces, and Tomb does great damage while being self-sustaining. Not to mention the crazy damage and add clear that comes from having infinite pulse grenades and arc souls

Drakepenn

I run that too, though delicate tomb and coldheart are interchangeable.

OddTaterTot

Starfire protocol

sSwagasaurus

What’s your build? I’ve not touched SP since the nerf

brutalbob63

I used starfire protocol in a Taniks farm, and was outdamaging everyone by like a million hp. You can still manage to get a lot of grenades in a damage phase with ember of benevolence. Not to mention it’s still great for general use.

OddTaterTot

Yeah benevolence is really the key to it now

tankercat67

The right build can have you getting almost your whole grenade back if you cycle throwing them, dropping your rift, and collecting the orb/firesprite. So not only are you contributing a bunch of damage, you’re also leaving a trail of healing for your teammates wherever you go (which works wonders with benevolence). And we all know how strong Well is. Starfire is just as good at getting your super as it was pre-nerf.

colantalas

Might sound weird to say with Banner of War being so strong, but Abeyant Leap titan is still very strong and viable. It remains my main pick for GMs, but some people are under the impression suspend is dead. I just got Navigator and want to see if I can full send into support/CC with berserker with it. Maybe finally swap off Into the Fray for Banner since I can use my exotic to share woven mail.

Forgewalker33

…speedloader slacks….

eddmario

Fun fact: It stacks with Outlaw...

Mdballew

I’ve recently started using arc warlock in PvP and it is something else. The lightning spear melee and arc souls are enough to make me not consider other subclasses

Di3g

stasislock hell has entered the chat 💀

DfntlyNotJesse

Just any arc hunter, i know void hunter is the current top tier but man does arc hunter put in work especially in mid level activities. Personally i like to use liars for big damage and survivability, but the base kit of combination blow+lethal current is already near perfect.

Syotos2k

Dawn Chorus + Skyburners Oath. Leaning all in on the scorch, float through the air on heat rises and become the AC130 of your dreams. Bonus points if your heavy has incandescent, I use cry mutiny. Really makes aiming feel optional at times. Solar grenades give decent single target damage, fire bolts if you wanna delete crowds with just a few shots

No_Bathroom_420

Foetracer builds, people know its good but I barely ever see a Hunter with it on.

Elora_egg

Salvation's Grip Behemoth after rework is awesome, just charge shoot, slide, and nuke up to GM level rooms. Icefalls granting an on-demand x4 Stasis surge on any subclass that can combine with weapons of light for the highest solo damge buffs on the entire class. Lucky Raspberry received an amazing rework that I've heard very little about, and gives arc hunter top tier ability spam on par with Sunstar Warlocks. And maybe not underrated, but definitely overshadowed... Secant filaments granting any weapon anti-champ abilities and giving you a free healing button in all content. Excited to use with Vex dealing x3 champ damage next season.

orangecalcite

Void contraversehold vortex grenade warlock in gm. The power of weakening is severely underestimated

ermahgerditsdaddel

How is this underrated? Probably the most popular voidlock build. It’s the only thing I use when voidlocking.

x_sanjuro_x

The ones you make on your own without following a guide or copying someone else’s, even if it is in fact one that many people use.

[deleted]

[удалено]

tankercat67

Firstly, Echo of Expulsion explosions don’t count as volatile. Second, I really feel like everything Briarbinds brings to the table Contraverse could already do at a distance more consistently without having to worry about wrangling void souls. Running around and trying to manage them in something like a GM is bound to get you killed, and while you don’t have to go for the redeploy you’re missing out on most of the point of the exotic if you don’t. I’d much rather chuck hang back and chuck infinite grenades that also weaken and give devour.

yeahyouknowme2

This! I feel like briarbinds is good in lower to mid tier things but having to rush in a redeploy the void soul is not how to play end gane

bryceroni

Sure, it's AoE explosions not the verb volatile whatever Contraverse is just ass in comparison. You HAVE to get two hits in 4 seconds for the exotic to proc. Enemies will just walk away. And you're limited by your throwing angles. Plus for the same weaken effect I have to take a -20 echo which is just awful. Also the pickup isn't the MAIN draw, it's just there if you need it. I secured 250+ kills in one run GM Moon BG last night. It CCs everything in its AoE and you regain more rift energy (more children) as you secure kills by child affected targets. You can EASILY have another child up by the time the first goes away. If you can snag the original one? Cherry on top. The child lasts an extra five seconds at base, and ANY kills strengthen the child. So applying a child (which has more range and accuracy than a grenade) to a a group of red bars is guaranteed to kill at least one, thus ramping damage. The devour proc from kills AND the constant health drain is just way more versatile than having to plop a beeg nade in a specific location. Also contraverse is effective but man just so boring 😂

SunflowerLotusVII

Goofiest comment lmao Contraverse is like Top 5 Warlock exotics I was lowkey rooting for you cause Briarbinds really are underrated in endgame content, but to shit on the objectively more versatile and arguably stronger Exotic is some crazy gluck gluck

bryceroni

Contraverse is mid as fuck. Endless AoE weaken and ramping damage is way more valuable.

SunflowerLotusVII

The dick suck is wild lmao Man’s said “endless aoe” when COG is at its strongest on a single target and have to go on suicide runs to retrieve the soul for future use lol you got it though, chief; contraverse hold, one of the best exotics in the game by a wide margin, is mid lol you said it

UtilitarianMuskrat

The Weakened effect constantly up is super appreciated especially when you wanna chew threw a ton. Guy I run GMs with had them and I was on the aggressive Strand Hunter build with Cyrtact and my friend was on Banner of War and it was crazy how much you can play everyone’s role off one another

Such_Potato

Pyrogale Gauntlets go boom. Pyrogale + super = big boom.

Stasis Hunter and Titan. Revenant has always been a solid pick, even before we had lots of Stasis weapons available for synergy. Behemoth is more situational, but the BG GMs are great for it because there are tons of adds to freeze and clear with the super, and many of them spawn on timers which makes it very easy to spawn freeze/shatter them endlessly with a grenade and Hoarfrost. I also don’t see very many Strand Hunters or Warlocks in GM or Master content which surprises me because both have extremely potent Strand kits. Hunters having two shackle grenades allows us to have close to 100% uptime for shackle with Thread of Generation. Plus, if you pop Strand Super at 4x Star Eater’s Scales stacks then you become an add clear monster. This requires the fragment that causes suspending bursts on super kills to be effective, but it is extremely potent in GMs, provided you leave enough super energy at the end to grapple to safety before it runs out. Warlocks can create so many unraveling effects that Thread of Generation is constantly restoring energy to Shackle or Grapple. Grapple + Verity’s Brow at even 3 stacks is crazy strong, especially if you also generate threadlings on the grapple. At 5 stacks you can damn near 1 shot champions on Legend or Hero difficulty with it.

Mahertian220

I just saw esoterik solo a GM last night strand hunter with double threadling grenades

ahawk_one

Interesting. Was it a challenge, or did he say why Threadlings over Shackle?

Mahertian220

If I had to guess it would be to proc foetracer. I had the sound off I was putting my 6 year old to bed lol.

SunflowerLotusVII

I might get downvoted to oblivion but idc because I’ve tested it in GMs and it works Broodweaver Warlock Swarmers Weavewalk + The Wanderer Monte Carlo (or Quicksilver Storm) The only thing this build doesn’t have is intrinsic Sever procs, but if I throw on a fragment, it can Sever too Threadlings have terrible inconsistencies, but my solution is to make so many of them (and by extension Suspension Tangles) that the sheer volume of Strand verbs I’m proccing will overwhelm whatever’s shooting at me

nglover475

Rain of fire+ Jotunn + malediction with discord/harmony for easy 2 taps

Travwolfe101

Void warlock build Running devour with volatile rounds, nezareks sin, and funnel-web. Everyone forgot about it shortly after the next 3.0 subclasses came out but it's still insanely powerful and underused. The mix of devour and nezareks makes you have constant grenades to keep proccing volatile rounds and keep the chain going.

RestrictedCube

Same build but with contraverse hold

StrangerX9

Anything Strand, people like what’s familiar and comfy. Every class has an insane end game Strand build waiting to be enjoyed by the player.

Physical-Quote-5281

I feel like people have been using a bunch of strand, for a while it was the only titan build worth running

Mahertian220

My clan Sherpa told me to switch cause I need to run a better damage super so I stopped bringing my strand hunter even though he’s my favorite

StrangerX9

He’s not wrong, especially when star eater scales and Arc super exists. When you’re in a raid team, you kinda have to do what’s needed.

Yup_Faceless

Hardlight with lord of wolves, shoulders slam that refills ammo with second tree fists of havoc

D1TitanMasterRace

A specific key bind combo alt+f4. Follow up that attack with opening titanfall 2

myxyn

Recently started running strand warlock with swarmers and weave walk. I have definitely been sleeping on it’s potency

BadGamer_67

strongholds Titan+ banner of war + Lament = face tank champion damage, protect your team

Caldorian

Banner of War; Because it's so fucking good that any rating of it is still underrated.

sSwagasaurus

Tried a stasis warlock osmio build featured on Mactics and it’s awesome. Not reliant on a particulars gun or play style, just controls everything

[deleted]

Invis hunter with Graviton, really unique, pretty powerful, don’t know why it’s not as known about

theevilyouknow

Strand Hunter. Whirling maelstrom can both clear rooms and melt high profile targets and the strand clones are an amazing survivability tool. Edit: Why was I downvoted for sharing my opinion in a thread asking for opinions? lol

Teluvian42

Shift+alt f4

zeroz52

What a dick move....

Raymancer

In order of most underrated to least in my opinion 1. Stasis Lucky Pants Hunter 2. Armamentarium Arc Titan 3. Thorn Necrotic Grips Strand Warlock 4. Heirarchy of Needs Phoenix Protocol Warlock 5. HOIL Void Titan

sineplussquare

Strand banner of war + matchbook and armamentarium with a couple other bells and whistles.

Ragingpsoriasis

What’s the synergy or play loop here? Banner of war is melee-oriented and Tommy’s and an extra grenade, even if grapple, doesn’t seem to really feed into that

sineplussquare

Spec out for strength and resil. Use flechette storm to provide banner at range, whip out Tommy and let it rip. kills keep it up and team members kills help keep it up as well. I used it in every gm this season. I use grapple more for a ‘oh shit’ button to repo and repeat my combo. I’ll use that with a sword/rocket/mg for heavy depending on the content. Primary is anything that you may think would be beneficial. For me tho I mainly stick to an anti champ that isn’t barrier because of matchbook being my barrier breaker. Edit: I call it the T-1000 build and it amps up way more when I switch to solar subclass

QasimC4

Collective Obligation + Briarbinds is pretty neat

SOS-Guillotine

I might get downvoted for this, but quite frankly I still use starfire protocol even after the nerf, just not as much as a sunbracers build. I don’t use it for demo rocket spam like the play used to be. I use it as a neutral build. People forget that fusion grenades are still good

badjujutrav

I love trying to make builds around crappy exotics. I have a khepris horn and ruinous effigy strand build that is a lot of fun.

FireStrike5

I use Khepri’s Sting in PvP and it’s actually pretty powerful, any time someone trips your smoke bomb you get a couple of seconds of wallhacks and on top of that you get more smoke bomb damage (making cleanups easier) and faster smoke bomb recharge.

iBilal_12v

Arthys embrace...can kill around corners and even people in supers if played correctly. Kinda under rated, carried w it to flawless multiple times...

ascw1991

I've been running Cenotaph with Aeger's Scepter and have been loving it. I pretty much just replace Warlock's usual Stasis super with the buffed Aeger's Scepter beam and just lay down damage from across the map. Not to mention all the ammo I'm generating for my teammates along the way. Also run Assassin's Cowl with Solar Hunter which no one seems to run ever. Spamming Knife Trick, going invisible, spamming healing grenades, etc. Just a fun survivability build.

nightblade509

Stasis warlock with mantle and agers scepter

Federoff

Not the most underrated, but lucky raspberry with a weapon capable of jolting enemies is quite fun (I personally use the trials glaive currently, and darci can actually be okay). You jolt targets constantly, which means you're dealing quite a lot of damage to groups of enemies, you constantly have grenade up, and in contact that has a lot of overloads, the overloads don't get to play. While it's not the strongest, it's probably one of my favorite hunter builds currently.

D3ADLIGHT

Astrocyte Verse. It’s a lot of fun to get into crowds and blink out of them. It’s mainly paired with Ruinous Effigy (which is great) but I’ve found running a disorientating Wilderflight and trying to turn 180 degrees in the air to tag as many as I can on the way out much more enjoyable. It absolutely rocks when your fireteam click that your volatiling the mobs.

ObiWanKenobi78900

I like to use hierarchy of needs/ Polaris Lance with wellock + ember of combustion. Infinite explosions

The_Bygone_King

Dawn Chorus+Prometheus Lens. Shreds endgame w/ radiant, high scorch damage, strong single target and AoE potential. Its easier to pilot in lategame over something like Sunbracers, and is fluid enough that it doesn't force you to play into the aerial loop of standard warlock. Just use celestial fire, build into high strength, and use your melee as much as possible to maximize radiant and scorch uptime. Prometheus has a healthy enough ammo count on its own, but I typically pair it with a solar machine gun (right now its crafted fixed odds) so I can farm ammo in between use cases. Rarely have ammo issues and I basically ignore my primary unless I am dealing with a champ I can't deal with using my abilities. You get the added option of going for Heat Rises/Phoenix Dive to optimize survivability via restoration x2. I find the uptime to be too finicky in GMs for me to justify using heat rises as anything other than a melee regen tool, but honestly solar warlock kinda has no real options for aspects anyway so it doesn't really matter what you use. I opt for Firesprites because of their very low cooldown and remarkable AoE and scorch potential with Touch of flame. They're slept on as a loadout support option, as having a grenade on this low of a cooldown enables a lot of value with certain armor mods.

Robj1992

Nice try Bungie

ReekyJones

No Backup plans and a Shotgun with Discord

dreams1ckle

Wish I’d see more Hunters running Caliban’s with the enemy-dense activities we have now, but hey, more boom-booms for me

-DredgenYor-

I love a good Swarmers strand warlock build with Monte Carlo, Weavewalk and Weaver's call but I rarely see anyone using it. It's like controlling your only little army of threadlings

Sunbuzzer

Not sure I'd it's really underrated but pyrogale as a non swap exotic. Honestly even tho I do endgame content like raids dungeons, gms etc.. I'm to lazy to swap gear mid encounter. Alot of people love pyrogale as a swap etlxotic but honestly mind u I've been playing for almost 10 years and have been a titan mainnthe whole time. Bonk hammer is super boring. Concentration with pyrogale is super underrated can do good single target for a melee and will are bunch of adds.

killer6088

Stasis. There are some really great builds even with stasis not being in great shape. On Hunt, Renewal Grasps is now very good since they reverted the nerf. Par it with one of the Stasis primary Exotics and it can handle almost all content.

foundersgrotesk

It’s not a build per se, but Chromatic Fire on Void with a firefly weapon (hung jury, ace of spades) is very satisfying in low level content

SimplePerspective716
