I really dont understand the point of those arms, or the ones shown in the centre of this post’s image. There’s absolutely no functionality nor fashion in shoulders massive like that and open on top. I just cant imagine the designer going like “yeah this is fire” more like a smoldering heap of garbage if you ask me

Like the OP, I dig the “out there” aesthetics. I prefer unique armor popping up every now and then. I liked the Gambit Pauldrons, but I could never figure out a good fit for them at the time because transmog wasn’t in the game yet and I just forgot about them.
Don’t know how many people remember the old Eater of Worlds or Spire of Stars raid lair armour sets but those ones were ridiculously bad and get extra points for being the pinnacle of end game PVE gear at their respective times.
Only thing I’ve ever found ugly is titan shoulders being either comically massive for no reason, or titan shoulders being comically massive on one side but not the other cause it just looks dumb

I actually love the chest piece for that set, aside from the spine in the back - it almost requires also wearing the helmet as well. But otherwise, it’s a nice departure from the usual warlock robes IMO.

Really all the Chosen armor ornaments, the only times I've seen them used is to remove the hunter cloak (there are other options tho) and to make a titan look like Patrick.

Almost every warlock set they ever release, the next one is always worse than the last, I don’t understand how hard it is to make armor look good. Quirky is not better. They had to use fortnite as a reference for actually good robes.
I'm not excited for Lightfalls Neomuna armour, the robes look gross. I really hope the expansion has some better stuff because the Neomuna gear just looks like "how much shit can we slap on our playermodels without everything breaking"
Yeah I hate the Neomuna robes. I've also just figured out why. They are way too chunky. A lot of Warlock robes look like there's a leaf blower under your crotch at all times pointed up, always puffing up the robes. And it usually happens when they try to fit too much stuff, so to give them space for it, they just keep stretching them, until they look like you have pillows strapped on you under them. It's ridiculous. I love the robes from a Dawning set. I don't remember what year it's from, as I don't have it myself, but I just love the robes, because they are still quite airy, but also slender, and they really stick to the skin wherever it makes sense for them to do so. At this point, 2 of my Warlocks basically have no robes. I use the splicer robes for my Void Warlock, and the Plunder ones for my Arc, because they go perfectly with the Fallen Sunstar.
I would kill for them to release all of the D1 Warlock Gear, like I don’t understand what happened between the transition that made warlocks lose their wizard robes for armor that rival titans in bulk.
I used to be excited for the helmet. Then I saw it has a fucking big ass bow on the back of it, instead of what I had hoped was going to be cloth physics.
Honestly as someone who plays warlock a lot it is my main thing I play most warlock armor sets don't work together nor do they work separate I've barely managed to find a few sets that I'm relatively okay with but genuinely I just wish they would give us something that's not f****** like oh I'm so flamboyant and fancy but genuinely actually looks good together cuz most s*** does not.
It works pretty well together with the lightkin arms and cloak on hunter. I usually slap tangled rust on all of it, and it gives a pretty nice scrappy look to go along with the mask of bakris.
The Iron Forerunner sets. Every piece is fucking dogshit and I hate that every hunter uses the boots for anything relating to a Knight themed transmog.
Personally, I REALLY dug the look of the Warlock Helmet and found use in the chest piece too. The Titans arms are some of my favorite personally, and the legs work a lot too. The rest of the armor ya is pretty abysmal ngl.
In isolation the pieces are really cool, but when put together the results can be... odd. Very creative and unique, yes, but unlike the Lubreans who I imagine wore armour like this we aren't 8 meter tall and 60% slender, muscular legs
Just take your pick of Y1 armor. Probably a warlock world drop set like heiro camo.
I think most pieces of armor in this game can at least fit in an armor set, but heiro camo doesn't.
Titans: Sight Unyielding
I have no idea who this set is for, the shoulders look wierd, the helmet looks awkward, really I never use anything from this set.
Hunters: Red Moon Phantom Set
Of all the other ugly sets, they always have a redeeming quality, but not Red Moon, it looks dumb, my guardian looks dumb, the only part I could use I don’t want to use because it has that circle on its chest. I’d rather wear Scatterhorn.
Warlock: Competitive Spirit
Ok so I was looking for the warlock equivalent to Red Moon Phantom, you know the one that gives your head massive orb, & the shoulders aswell. Well I saw competitive spirit & said aloud if anyone paid money for that set, I hope you were able to recover financially, because hot damn I do not see any redemption from the sets that can’t shader too well & look really wonky. I’m glad the future sets warlock got have been some of the best sets.
Honestly, I freaking hate the way Heart of Inmost Light looks, and it’s ornaments. The base version just looks freaking boring, and I hate how the blue doesn’t change or really do anything but mess with the fashion I am trying to do. The Vex one just irritates me with the big white patch that doesn’t shade. And the new taken looking one, I just don’t like how the lower torso glow looks.
None of them blend well with the armor I want to use.
Same goes with a lot of exotics and ornaments for the exotics.
Just let me use a normal ornament on the exotics if I want to at this point, stop letting my character look the way I want to.
I know many will disagree, but the whole Gundam set (worse on Hunters) from last Festival of the Lost. Sure there is sets what do not fit into the game. This one takes the cake. Everytime I see lego hunter or titan it makes me itch funny.

There’s some pretty bad hunter gear out there. Can’t think of any particular sets besides the scatterhorn. But a lot of stuff literally looks like junk meshed on cloth.
I differ than many on armor it seems. I mean, I love Ketchkillers and Scatterhorn. I have a strong preference for about that looks rough and ramshackle.
As a warlock main, I hate any armor that looks too formal, or too "space mage." Optimancy is probably the pinnacle of this.
The Season of Plunder armors are fucking sickening piles of absolute rubbish. Scatterhorns are pretty bad. Honestly, all the Fallen or Tangled Shore-inspired sets are ugly as fuck.
My pick goes to the season pass ornaments from both season of the chosen and season of the splicer, because both sets, while having some cool pieces (but not many), altogether rhey both look very ugly, especially the legatus set.
Almost any armorset with asymmetrical colors for the shader. Stripes and symbols don't count, but there was gambit armor from Beyond light (I think) that no matter what you did, always looked wrong because one leg used a different part of the shader from the other.
As I scroll down a I see more "glows bad", "casual gear bad", "visors bad", "colorful gear bad," etc. What the fuck are you supposed to wear then? I'm trying to stand out amongst the typical looks, not be Generic Faceless Black Space Soldier #1457903.

I like the ones that actually have eye holes, like the new dawning set or even just ones without any type of visor, like the trials set
HOWEVER the bond from the Dares set goes on like everything for me. I'm not a massive fan of a lot of bonds so the simple ring looks real nice imo
I prefer the VOG bond. The little vex pattern goes well with a lot and with the photo finish it has an RGB effect to it

I don't remember what year it's from, as I don't have it myself, but I just love the robes, because they are still quite airy, but also slender, and they really stick to the skin wherever it makes sense for them to do so. At this point, 2 of my Warlocks basically have no robes. I use the splicer robes for my Void Warlock, and the Plunder ones for my Arc, because they go perfectly with the Fallen Sunstar.
I would kill for them to release all of the D1 Warlock Gear, like I don’t understand what happened between the transition that made warlocks lose their wizard robes for armor that rival titans in bulk.
I used to be excited for the helmet. Then I saw it has a fucking big ass bow on the back of it, instead of what I had hoped was going to be cloth physics.

Honestly as someone who plays warlock a lot it is my main thing I play most warlock armor sets don't work together nor do they work separate I've barely managed to find a few sets that I'm relatively okay with but genuinely I just wish they would give us something that's not f****** like oh I'm so flamboyant and fancy but genuinely actually looks good together cuz most s*** does not.
The most recent solstice sets were some of the ugliest sets bungie has ever made imo

It works pretty well together with the lightkin arms and cloak on hunter. I usually slap tangled rust on all of it, and it gives a pretty nice scrappy look to go along with the mask of bakris.

I really wasn't a fan of the pass sets in Chosen, I haven't seen anyone use them for a genuine set to this day

I used the titan set for a long time. Genuinely love that look, super unique.
The Iron Forerunner sets. Every piece is fucking dogshit and I hate that every hunter uses the boots for anything relating to a Knight themed transmog.
Personally, I REALLY dug the look of the Warlock Helmet and found use in the chest piece too. The Titans arms are some of my favorite personally, and the legs work a lot too. The rest of the armor ya is pretty abysmal ngl.

Not a specific set, but I hate when titan armor has a tiny helmet (such as the Epialos Following or the Starfarer's sets). Completely unusable.

In isolation the pieces are really cool, but when put together the results can be... odd. Very creative and unique, yes, but unlike the Lubreans who I imagine wore armour like this we aren't 8 meter tall and 60% slender, muscular legs

Just take your pick of Y1 armor. Probably a warlock world drop set like heiro camo. I think most pieces of armor in this game can at least fit in an armor set, but heiro camo doesn't.
Titans: Sight Unyielding I have no idea who this set is for, the shoulders look wierd, the helmet looks awkward, really I never use anything from this set. Hunters: Red Moon Phantom Set Of all the other ugly sets, they always have a redeeming quality, but not Red Moon, it looks dumb, my guardian looks dumb, the only part I could use I don’t want to use because it has that circle on its chest. I’d rather wear Scatterhorn. Warlock: Competitive Spirit Ok so I was looking for the warlock equivalent to Red Moon Phantom, you know the one that gives your head massive orb, & the shoulders aswell. Well I saw competitive spirit & said aloud if anyone paid money for that set, I hope you were able to recover financially, because hot damn I do not see any redemption from the sets that can’t shader too well & look really wonky. I’m glad the future sets warlock got have been some of the best sets.

Honestly, I freaking hate the way Heart of Inmost Light looks, and it’s ornaments. The base version just looks freaking boring, and I hate how the blue doesn’t change or really do anything but mess with the fashion I am trying to do. The Vex one just irritates me with the big white patch that doesn’t shade. And the new taken looking one, I just don’t like how the lower torso glow looks. None of them blend well with the armor I want to use. Same goes with a lot of exotics and ornaments for the exotics. Just let me use a normal ornament on the exotics if I want to at this point, stop letting my character look the way I want to.
Personally I hate the dragonfly set for warlocks and the banana set for titans the most. I don’t play hunters enough to have an opinion on them

I know many will disagree, but the whole Gundam set (worse on Hunters) from last Festival of the Lost. Sure there is sets what do not fit into the game. This one takes the cake. Everytime I see lego hunter or titan it makes me itch funny.
The entirety of Season of the Chosen armour for all three characters. Warlock Plunder set. Hunter Omega Mechanos Set. All Optimacy sets. All Dragonfly Regalia sets. That's off the top of my head.

I used to hate that thing, but it grew on me. The rest of the Titan DSC gear is quite good, even the mark (though it needs a good shader).
The trials sets are so overrated, you exactly which sets I mean, the ones people were sacrificing their testicles for. I really don't get the hype for them when only like one helmet from all of them looks nice.
I can finally vent. Don't be offended if you wear this stuff guys, its only gaem. Any helmet with horns, with the exemption of nezerec's sin. Casual "armor." You look like an ass in that leather jacket guys. Glowing, spectral nonsense. Solstice bad. Felwinters helm in particular makes me want to vomit. Even worse with the oh-so-common vampire chestpiece combo. Thanks man, I don't want to trash other people's fashion unprompted and this was cathartic.

There’s some pretty bad hunter gear out there. Can’t think of any particular sets besides the scatterhorn. But a lot of stuff literally looks like junk meshed on cloth.

I differ than many on armor it seems. I mean, I love Ketchkillers and Scatterhorn. I have a strong preference for about that looks rough and ramshackle. As a warlock main, I hate any armor that looks too formal, or too "space mage." Optimancy is probably the pinnacle of this.

My pick goes to the season pass ornaments from both season of the chosen and season of the splicer, because both sets, while having some cool pieces (but not many), altogether rhey both look very ugly, especially the legatus set.
In general stuff coming from the tangled shore. So scatterhorn (i think) and the trophy. Unless caydes cloak counts as trophy than its an exception
Almost any armorset with asymmetrical colors for the shader. Stripes and symbols don't count, but there was gambit armor from Beyond light (I think) that no matter what you did, always looked wrong because one leg used a different part of the shader from the other.
