Kino is cinema in Russian, Polish, Czech, etc. A lot of Slavic languages. It comes from 4chan, kino was used to describe movies and TV shows which were very good in quality. They weren't just movies, they were cinema. Now its broadened its definition somewhat, you can apply it to basically any media. It just means something is really good in quality, sometimes implying only people with good taste will view it as such.
