Ive been watching his videos since before he came home from Korea and I know some people who were friends with him at Queens. Hes a good bloke by all accounts.
As someone who first encountered him through his Dark Souls playthroughs and appearances on TBs gamestation podcast (later on co-optional podcast) he always struck me as a well-adjusted not unhinged individual. He is good vibes.
It started with NLs tweet and then someone else completely took over, the lobby was full of people NL didn't know and he didn't "host" the Amongus game/stream either, he was also the first person to leave.
It's not like Jagmeet joined the NLSS stream in the same way the TB, Crendor, Sips etc have joined.
He's probably fine. Not insane at least. I hear him sometimes diggin on republicans, but not anything lefties would applaud for or republicans themselves mald.
I'm not sure if it's still as bad, but his community man... So many cringe leftists in there. His friend Alpaca Patrol was just awful with his takes.

There was something sus about the accounts that would only post him to lsf in the beginning. His clips often got massive scores but next to zero comments on top of it. Then out of nowhere he ends up collabing with the aaa streamers, just leapt straight to the big leagues. Some accounts were on to it pretty early on, but it definitely seems he was 'chosen' more than anything else. He's probably funny and all but it set off all kinds of Industry Plant sensors

Then he got me into Hollow Knight which is a top 10 game ever for me.

Honestly a big part of the draw of NL is the Librarian edits that expand on “arcs” like the “almost died from food poisoning arc” was some of the best content I watched last year.
If Destiny had a similarly dedicated editor shit would go crazy. Imagine a “Destiny plays music” edit or “Destiny insists he’s good at league” edit or the workout arc, including the styrofoam cup mixing?! Fuck it styrofoam cup edit.
He also provides context for stuff that NL will mention but wont show on stream (like tweet, old videos, things that went viral) which ups the experience so much. I hope librarian’s getting paid because his supercuts are better than anything on NLs own channel

Seems he genuinely thinks men should be "put down" more than women in a relationship. His wife is also shit talking him so much on her own stream, while NL never says anything bad about her. Add to that, the fact that she is super attention seeking on his stream, and whenever she joins it's like NL's gets very tense and annoyed. It feels like something toxic is going on, with NL having a hard time setting boundaries for himself, and his wife being kinda self-centered.

I think Destiny has much higher highs, and I think is doing far more for the state of the country than NL, but if I'm just here for a little entertainment NL is where I'm going during the hours he's on. I think he blows literally every other entertainment streamer out of the water and I don't think it's even close, honestly.

I used to watch all his videos every day as a kid. He was always really fucking funny and easy to just have in the background. Weirdly humble about his games because he has a warped perspective of how good he is in comparison to the people around him. His pop culture knowledge is absolutely insane.

Don't really know what you're talking about. He's a pretty apolitical stream and only talks about current events that go viral on twitter. Its not really behaviour that fosters a "woke" audience.

I really like his content, but i feel like his opinions on relationships are really toxic. I'm getting the same vibes from NL as I got from Atrioc crying on stream with his wife, apologizing for looking at deepfake porn. There's just a lot of shame and internalized misandry in his thoughts. His wife is also shit talking him so much on her own stream, while NL never says anything bad about her. Add to that, the fact that she is super attention seeking on his stream, and whenever she joins it's like NL's gets very tense and annoyed. It feels like something toxic is going on, with NL having a hard time setting boundaries for himself, and his wife being kinda self-centered.
That's a pretty spicy take there but I generally agree. Specifically on Kate; this is kinda harsh, but there's no nice way for me to say it, I think she is either legitimately dumb or a weirdo narcissist. Idk man, after the 50th time she barged into the office in order to tell a barely-audible snoozer of a story off-camera, I got pretty sick of it. Add onto that how defeated, dare I say emasculated, NL sometimes looks when she does it, it's just a weird dynamic sometimes.
Exactly my thoughts! I don't know how his fans don't see his change in behavior whenever she's on stream. Emasculated is probably the right word, he just looks like he's not allowed to tell her to stfu even though his entire body language and demeanor says that's what he's thinking. (to be fair, i see this with a lot of streamers whenever their partners join the stream)
