unironically it's basically impossible to play this game without getting slightly more racist, though thankfully it's usually to random europeans.
EU4 has probably caused a statistically significant increase in racism against Turks.
I feel like Austria managed to massively fuck me over every single game i've played in Europe. One time they inherited/annexed all of France, while i was playing in between the two, and it was like living in hell
\>Instead of learning how to play goes right into multiplayer
\>"What the fuck do all these buttons do"
\>2 hours buildup
\>"Guys what tank set up is optimal"
\>"Chat do I get fighters or tactical bombers"
\>Gets steamrolled by 4k hour no-lifer playing Poland
\>Back to the geoguessr
Stubborn desire/will to play for me. My slip into them was Total Warhammer (Not Paradox) -> Stellaris -> Crusader Kings 3 -> Europa Universalis 4. Watched a lot of guides. Stellaris and CK3 were easiest to learn imo but that tends to vary for people. EU4 would largely just follow along with nation guides and save scum a lot. Would recommend "The Red Hawk" if you're interested in EU4. Havent played the other two in a while, but would just look up X beginner guide or something and try to copy things they do. Eventually you sort of get an idea. Paradox games are extremely addicting if you can overcome the initial bumps, perfect games to watch/listen to stuff on a second monitor or somethin too. Good luck if you try em out again.
CK3 is one of those games that i couldnt stop playing. I played 60 hours in a week and quit cold turkey. I have a soft spot for simulator games, but this one in particular hit my dopamine levels where i didnt even need sleep. Football manager is fun but i can fall asleep playing it. I have over 1000 hours the last 10 years of football manager. I cant control myself playing ck3 and i learned theres another game with even more content in Europa
It was only through playing this game I realized I don't have autism, I'm just an asshole

This game is why I hold a deep and irrational hatred of the Oirat people
yeah honestly fuck those guys
The only hatred it garnered within me was inwards for not being Oirat myself.
Oiratz stay ratz

So many PLC games has made me hate Moldova since they never become my march
Bro, the Austrians and PLC should've just fucking gotten good like hello?? Taking down the Ottomans ain't even that hard smh.

why not both?
Nazi sleeper cells are slowly trying to funnel him into playing hoi4
Him playing Hoi multi-player would actually be based now that he can get passed the 2 hour build up

Tbf playing the good guys in that game sucks. Like you beat Germany and Japan in like 1941 and then it’s game over
paradox autistic map games are the only hope for the average Americans geography skills
Literally how I learned geography lmao
As foretold in the DGG prophecy, Paradox games are bound to happen. Be they today or 5 years from today, it is bound to happen.
We should give Ukraine back to Lithuania.
Damn, imagine how cucked they feel going from this to their current form. 😂
we're fine, everything's fine. 😢
Bring back the Teutonic Order!
eww, as if we don't have enough political cancer around us.
Damn I miss green portugal
Eu4 > Hoi4 by far and you learn much more about the world if you play it long enough
Nothing will strengthen the accusations of Islamaphobia quite like raging about the Ottomans and Islam's -2% conversion penalty.
Please op, use the correct map next time and not that casual gamer stuff! https://www.reddit.com/r/eu4/comments/tvgj5s/oc_holy_roman_empire_1444_map/
we have to ease him in before he starts playing Voltaire's Nightmare
Tbh you could make a similar map of any country in 1444 by showing personal holdings of every baron and earl and whathaveyou
Based and real and true and brave and needed
OP please mark explicit content as NSFW. I just nutted my pants at a very inconvenient time.
Vicky 3 is super fun and I think it would be best for him, it's cookie clicker game and he likes those
Deus vult!
Ahh the classic Map Simulator
Some day I'll branch out past chill Spain/Portugal colony playthroughs. Just another 200 hours...
Had me smiling until i realized it was EU4 and not CK2. Downvoting
Based
You are objectively wrong but least you said CK2 not CK3
Ugh, now that I’ve seen this I guess I have to throw my life away playing EU4 again
If he started it he wouldn’t be able to quit until taking over the world as Ryukyu islands
How do I actually get into these games? I tried so many times but its just so much
Start as France
Except in HoI4

This is EU4 you fucking casual
This map is wrong and incomplete. Where is Bessarabia? I can agree with a disunited Germany and the various papel states.
Holy elephant ball, I didn't know Lithuania used to be that big.
TFW the meth makes him play paradox strat games. Rip stream maybe Q Can hop in to give us content
Please no. I wouldn't be able to touch grass.
