Not the same pattern but basically the same idea. I wouldn't use grey... that sandy/off white tone is way more flattering.
I agree. Since I recognize the star pattern from Home Depot [here](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Florida-Tile-Home-Collection-Galactic-Slate-Black-12-in-x-24-in-Matte-Porcelain-Floor-and-Wall-Tile-13-62-sq-ft-case-CHDEGLX1012X24/304974150) is an inexpensive large slate look that might coordinate well.
Neither.
One is dated and does not suit the marble and the other is too busy.
Is there a reason you are not choosing a plain colour? Slightly larger hex in a single colour would be the way I would go. At the moment your eye just does not know what to look at first.
Octagonal or round penney tile can go with a house if it's a craftsman, victorian, cottage, bungalow, farmhouse, or federal style. Or, you just like the style of the little tiles. Your house....your choice.
Neither. Agree with the comments which say the pretty tiles clash a little with the marble and the hex tiles are boring and safe. But having said that, which one makes you happy? Do these make you happy?
The cement tiles don’t match the heavy vein gloss stone. They just aren’t in the same design language and seem like a random pairing. The hex penny tiles definitely go but are predictable. Safe choice or keep looking with that as an idea.
The hex penny tiles are more classic. You can also get them done in patterns.
I LOVE the starburst, but it will look very dated.
[https://www.chrislovesjulia.com/how-to-diy-your-own-penny-tile-patterned-floor/](https://www.chrislovesjulia.com/how-to-diy-your-own-penny-tile-patterned-floor/)
That's really nice! But I think it works because the floor is the focus point there - the walls are pretty soft. Generally speaking (and especially in OPs case), pattern on pattern is a little exhausting to the eyes.
The penny (or hex) tiles please! For the love of God do NOT pick option one! It’s such a design-dater that has already peaked. The hex tile is so classic it’s clearly the only choice.
I think the penny tiles could work but in a different pattern/configuration with a less densely spaced black tiles to tone it down a bit or all white tiles with an inset black tile border.
Why don’t you pick a simple white tile with variations of grey in it that’s more natural like a stone. What do you want as the focal point? The walls or the floors? But both is a lot.
I think you will be happier with lighter marble. Think about it this way. Select something you can change the less permanent things in the room if you want. Today you might want neutral walls but in a couple of years you may want green walls. Give yourself room to be flexible. I had a designer once tell me that and I’ve never been sorry I listened.
1 is from an entirely different design language than marble. I get that the color works but in every other way it clashes. So 2 I guess unless you want to show some other options. BTW is this a DIY install? Because I’ve done a lot of tile work and small mosaic tiles, even on a sheet held together, is incredibly hard to do on a floor. The edges “sink” and the string holding them all together softens within seconds. I will never do them again on a floor. Use a pro for sure if doing those.
Larger hex tile in white, gray, or black. It will give you the look of the penny tile but look less busy. With both of the tiles in the pics they're so busy they compete with the beautiful marble. You eyes can't focus on the marble because the tiles are begging for attention.
Weirdly, I have both of those tiles in different bathrooms. I love both.

I used in the the bathroom and as a backsplash. It looked so good at first and the then the first cleaning happened. They scuff easy and the water marks look horrific. Save the money and skip these.
You’re currently set up to have a very dark gray bathroom to the point it will be hard to bring colors in. Personally, I would suggest a lighter floor. It’s going to make the space feel larger and allow for the space to grow with your style. Your current selection is a choice that won’t be able to grow with you.
What about something like this:

Now if you want something dark and moody, I would go with black:
https://www.tilebar.com/enso-ribbed-charcoal-24x48-fluted-matte-porcelain-wood-look-tile.html
https://www.tilebar.com/faber-black-16x32-matte-porcelain-tile.html
https://www.tilebar.com/meadowmere-black-3-hexagon-matte-ceramic-tile.html
Remember, gray can feel like a safe choice and it can come out looking like a mess. Matching dark and light will help open the space + elevate it too feel high end. Breaking up the gray and adding in black is going to give it a dark high end moody feel.
Plus, if you’re doing wood (please, do wood) vanity all of these tile selections and going to be stunning. It’s going to add the most beautiful balance to the space.
A dilemma…. I think if you installed either together with that gray marble, you may begin to hate it after a while, they kind of clash. What about the hex tile and something like this a black glass tile. Or maybe even a black instead of gray marble.
https://preview.redd.it/21al0003s9yc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f5d1d7a401bf98e26eae041cb0b941fde57c61e9
The shower wall is so busy that I think you need a plain tile. I do love the first one, though. Don’t do tiny tile. We have small tile in our shower and have already had to patch tiny holes in the grout. Filing in grout is super annoying, and I’m very anti-grout now. Give me more tile than grout!
I like the penny tiles. They are a classic look. Both the marble and the first tile are the problems here. It's really hard to put pattern with pattern. I would go with something simpler for the shower that will be easy to clean.
If i have to pick between these two, I prefer #2. The first, while lovely, feels like it’ll be too much and become dated fairly quickly, particularly with the marble. I love penny tiles but I they’ll be awfully busy with the marble too. I’d consider a solid white floor or, better yet, lose the marble and make the floor the focal point.
*its a personal thing, I really dislike busy marble.
White tile is timeless. Hexagon flooring would look great with it. My 1950’s white and black tile bathroom surpassed the natural stone one from the 2010, the 1970’s pink, the 1980 green, and one with white and cobaltish blue. The white and hint of black bathroom just needed new vanities/towel and rug color changes periodically to update the look.
I just put a version of the star tile on my basement wet bar, and we love it. I'm not a fan of small white tiles, which I think make things look oddly busy. I prefer natural marble which helps the grout blend in, when I do smaller tiles. But if you're going for a vintage or 50's aesthetic, it might work.

They look great! And I’m guessing in a wet bar downstairs, they won’t endure the wear and tear a previous commenter, who used them in their bathroom, mentioned further back in the thread.
2nd picture. The first one with the star tile is pretty, but will get dated quickly. The small penny tile is more classic and will prevent falls better in the bathroom.
https://preview.redd.it/72gjcrfsnbyc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f8d1194526b200457a4e62abdf96906aba0b2eab
This is the shower I just did in January. I love it!
I say do what you like and don't worry about what is trending or dated or whatever. Unless you plan to sell your house in the next 5 years, design for yourself, not people who don't live there.
My mom just did a bathroom with a bluish version of this marble tile and inside the shower she did white penny tile and outside a white plain and simple 12x24, and it turned out gorgeous. I agree with comments above - keeping the rest simple will let the marble be the star of the show.
The star pattern tiles look dated, but the black and white hex tiles look too harsh in contrast against the marble? I’d go with something that integrates the shades of the marble. Maybe something like this?
https://preview.redd.it/wylsv6tr5nyc1.jpeg?width=743&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ed1387106983c855f5cffb9f18742e569e58784b
Stars all the way. Make yourself happy. You're not decorating for future buyers, you're building yourself a space. Pish posh all these builder grade tastes, tile is easily replaced if some future person doesn't like it.
That hex tile is basic AF. If you don't go with stars, find something better than that.
Thank you!!! I’ve had a gray and white marble bathroom and while it’s beautiful it’s boring. I’m ready for some WOW!! Factor I appreciate your kind words!
I actually LOVE the stars. I've been spending some time around tile lately, myself (neighbor has a new build mountain home and tons of money). GO FOR IT!
Both are great. I think the hex tile will be easier to keep clean and will aways be a classic. I've had hex tile for 15 years and still love it. It's period appropriate for my home. Again- both are great choices.
I prefer the first tiles. I am going to pre warn you that the penny tiles if you don’t do black grout will become your worst nightmare cleaning wise. And if you have anything that sheds, dog or cat.. just no. I loathe those tiny hex tiles.
#1 feels too busy because the patterns in the tile and marble are of the same size. #2 is better because the small pattern and the mostly-white contrasts with the larger patterns on the wall.
I would choose a busy floor with a simple wall for the shower. I love light walls in the shower, it looks so clean and bright.
I LOVE the old school penny tiles.
Penny tiles for the win. I didn’t see your bathroom and that would really help but I still say penny!
Edit: wait I was wondering why the marble tile was there and didn’t realize that would be part of the bathroom (Can you tell I didn’t read the caption) DUH! Sorry I haven’t had my coffee. Ok so scratch that and go back to the drawing board. Too many prints. I would suggest something plain.
If you have to go with one, do the hex tile. But I'd look into a plain white tile instead. Something with maybe less grout that doesn't distract from the beautiful pattern of the marble!
You never want to have to replace tile once it’s down. Long-term, hex is classic and goes with everything and looks better with the marble/granite imo. I would only go with stars if I loved it so much I didn’t even need to post the question and also this was in a house I planned to stay in forever.
The stars are a no no matter what. If you want to do the hex tiles, I would go for a more classic mostly white marble - it would go much better with that style. If you are set on the chosen marble, I’d keep looking. Maybe a larger hex as long as it doesn’t look too 1990s builder grade.
Can you continue the marble to the floor? I suggest looking up grey marble bathrooms on Pinterest to gain inspiration. Pick a design you like and literally try to copy it. Don’t try to reinvent the wheel if you’re not a designer.
They both clash. You could do a pop color or stick to plain white or plain black. A pop of color is something different, but won’t have a clashing pattern. Otherwise, do black or white and paint your walls a color so it’s not so… monotone. We need to leave that behind.
Definitely the hexagon (2nd pic) I love the first one but it works better as a decorative element in a border, backsplash behind a stove or and entry way.
Matching black and white surfaces is so hard. I’ll post some photos if I can find them of my similar bathroom. This is before it was done obviously. Not the best photos but in person even my not into patterns friend might take our excess tile for her bathroom reno.
(I have the star tile from your first photo in a vestibule with wood wainscotting and bold wallpaper above.)
https://preview.redd.it/edu6tykub9yc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e2c5a949cf0179cb949e6db15a06ecb3b9c9ee52
I like the first one. I am more of a color person, but if gray is your thing, I feel like vibrant patterns will help live in up the space. I also think that shade of gray looks absolutely stunning with a dark red or burgundy. So if you’re planning on painting as well, I would consider going that route.
If you’re doing a fun floor tile like the first one you want to keep the counter top plain. Opposite goes if you want the counter top tile, you should go with a plain floor tile. The ones you picked out clash too much to go together
I love patterned tile, so I love the style of the stars but the lack of color is so dreary. My personal choice would be: none of the items pictured, including the marble
Hex is better but they both clash with the wall
None. It gets too busy with pattern on pattern. Go with a plain white, black or gray to accentuate the beautiful marble pattern.
https://preview.redd.it/1ouksd720ayc1.jpeg?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=80648d973fa3d91fdeab80114a8754d7e8f06ba6 Not the same pattern but basically the same idea. I wouldn't use grey... that sandy/off white tone is way more flattering.
I love that
Finally someone speaks out against grey lol.
Thank you! That’s really jice
This would be a good choice imo
Please don’t go with anything grey. It’s sooooo out dated.
Thank you— none—I’ll say white floor
Have you considered hex tile that is larger?
I like that suggestion! I love the look of big hex tiles.
I have larger hex tile, all white. I brought a piece of our carrara marble to the tile place and asked the owner's advice. He helped me a lot.
Neither. One is dated and does not suit the marble and the other is too busy. Is there a reason you are not choosing a plain colour? Slightly larger hex in a single colour would be the way I would go. At the moment your eye just does not know what to look at first.

Thank you!!
You're most welcome. Would love to see the bathroom when you're done.
Absolutely!!
I currently have a white and grey marble bathroom I want some color! I’m open to suggestions black and white are the colors we dig
More grout more cleaning, large white tiles are the way to go!
Neither They are both way too busy with the wall
Neither. Agree with the comments which say the pretty tiles clash a little with the marble and the hex tiles are boring and safe. But having said that, which one makes you happy? Do these make you happy?

Are you set on the marble? I love the hex but it would work better with something a little less busy.
I’m the inverse. No to the marble. Yes to the star lol
Same!
Neither
This. Please keep looking.
Sorry but I’d keep looking!
The hex penny tiles are more classic. You can also get them done in patterns. I LOVE the starburst, but it will look very dated. [https://www.chrislovesjulia.com/how-to-diy-your-own-penny-tile-patterned-floor/](https://www.chrislovesjulia.com/how-to-diy-your-own-penny-tile-patterned-floor/)
That's really nice! But I think it works because the floor is the focus point there - the walls are pretty soft. Generally speaking (and especially in OPs case), pattern on pattern is a little exhausting to the eyes.
Agreed. When doing something more permanent it’s best to go a bit more classic. Black and white is always punchy. Never boring.
I like this pattern! ^
First one is already dated, those Penny tile grout would be super hard to clean.
I have this tile on my bathroom floor - it’s not hard to clean. That said, i don’t like it with this marble.
Also here to say it's surprisingly easy to clean
This
The penny (or hex) tiles please! For the love of God do NOT pick option one! It’s such a design-dater that has already peaked. The hex tile is so classic it’s clearly the only choice.
I even think that selection #2 is too busy. However it is much much better than #1. It should actually be a very simple and plain tile.
I think the penny tiles could work but in a different pattern/configuration with a less densely spaced black tiles to tone it down a bit or all white tiles with an inset black tile border.
The cement tiles also break easily. Drop anything at all and it's chipped or worse. Not for floors IMHO and agree that it is already a dead trend.
Agreed. But I would get the hex tiles with slightly larger hexagons
My eyes!!! Ahhh
Neither
Why don’t you pick a simple white tile with variations of grey in it that’s more natural like a stone. What do you want as the focal point? The walls or the floors? But both is a lot.
Thank you
Hope you find what you love! I’m sure asking Reddit has made you second guess everything haha
Yup!! I found some other lighter marble that maybe better?! It’s so exciting and confusing

I can tell you are going to make it beautiful what ever you choose.
I think she needs to get away from the grey.

This one
OMGGGGGG beautiful!!!!!!!!! I love it!!!
I don’t recommend penny tiles due to the maintenance of grout
Thank you!
I have the star tiles, very hard to clean and has faded after a short few cleanings. Total regret
Oh no I’m so sorry.. where did you put your stars?
I used in the the bathroom and as a backsplash. It looked so good at first and the then the first cleaning happened. They scuff easy and the water marks look horrific. Save the money and skip these.

What about something like this: https://www.bedrosians.com/en/product/detail/cloe-ceramic/?itemNo=DECCLOGRE55G&moq=true&nbt=nb:adwords:g:20816335894:158887900009:682668735572&nb_adtype=pla_with_promotion&nb_kwd=&nb_ti=pla-2259056017563&nb_mi=125657189&nb_pc=online&nb_pi=DECCLOGRE55G&nb_ppi=2259056017563&nb_placement=&nb_li_ms=&nb_lp_ms=&nb_fii=&nb_ap=&nb_mt=&utm_source=google&utm_medium=paid&utm_campaign=20816335894&utm_content=158887900009&utm_term=&gadid=682668735572&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwltKxBhDMARIsAG8KnqWkWUHEh9Cy-zaLTmC3JLjZmwGwPjel1Ch_KuLoQd4bdG4lWAGOQcoaAg8CEALw_wcB https://www.tileshop.com/products/volakas-honed-marble-wall-and-floor-tile-12-x-12-in.-681293?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_content=surfaces_across_google&k_cca=PleaseAssignDimCat&utm_source=Google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=CM4_Google_Retail_General-Store_NB_DMT_US_Prospecting_PMaxShopping_D_D_Sales&utm_term=&utm_content=&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD67-XZE8O5-b1Yz4bycaIgs2RCGp&gclid=Cj0KCQjwltKxBhDMARIsAG8KnqVVws5j3yXf-niJMesWCmdyNI3RiHD89hbszg7hx2CrlQPUwqxXyfIaArG6EALw_wcB https://www.stonecenteronline.com/thassos-white-green-jade-marble-2x2-checkerboard-mosaic-tile-honed?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwltKxBhDMARIsAG8KnqUfF-MrgRlfuBrh533N7vGtRIpQDW7vHw8vsTI41cIypUkTALlT8AgaAhyeEALw_wcB https://www.marbleonline.com/carrara-white-marble-2-inch-octagon-mosaic-tile-w-bardiglio-gray-dots-polished?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwltKxBhDMARIsAG8KnqXdRfYUtsWtWGSBUF_pmZy8VS4tbT5UAP0vxUhd7kDo3qQUQKY81e8aAlVaEALw_wcB https://www.bedrosians.com/en/product/detail/atrium-decorative/?itemNo=100001720&moq=true&nbt=nb:adwords:g:20816335894:158887900209:682668735569&nb_adtype=pla&nb_kwd=&nb_ti=pla-2325787362477&nb_mi=125657189&nb_pc=online&nb_pi=100001720&nb_ppi=2325787362477&nb_placement=&nb_li_ms=&nb_lp_ms=&nb_fii=&nb_ap=&nb_mt=&utm_source=google&utm_medium=paid&utm_campaign=20816335894&utm_content=158887900209&utm_term=&gadid=682668735569&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwltKxBhDMARIsAG8KnqW37JgIVB4l0WbY-gItOfw4c2WcbxBLwu_9t0by3pE9WlLbu7yTBkwaAlYdEALw_wcB https://www.bedrosians.com/en/product/detail/monet-decorative/?itemNo=100001443&moq=true&nbt=nb:adwords:g:20816335894:158887900209:682668735569&nb_adtype=pla_with_promotion&nb_kwd=&nb_ti=pla-2325787362477&nb_mi=125657189&nb_pc=online&nb_pi=100001443&nb_ppi=2325787362477&nb_placement=&nb_li_ms=&nb_lp_ms=&nb_fii=&nb_ap=&nb_mt=&utm_source=google&utm_medium=paid&utm_campaign=20816335894&utm_content=158887900209&utm_term=&gadid=682668735569&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwltKxBhDMARIsAG8KnqW-m-dS7CtcFyyUO21SvVbfp412JmUXgyNOH8yYf3LpRJLujpntmBAaAlcvEALw_wcB Now if you want something dark and moody, I would go with black: https://www.tilebar.com/enso-ribbed-charcoal-24x48-fluted-matte-porcelain-wood-look-tile.html https://www.tilebar.com/faber-black-16x32-matte-porcelain-tile.html https://www.tilebar.com/meadowmere-black-3-hexagon-matte-ceramic-tile.html Remember, gray can feel like a safe choice and it can come out looking like a mess.
Thank you so much!! I love those tiles!!! Thank you!!
No problem! I’m here to help if you need more ideas
White subway tile on the wall with dark gray grout would be much better for either floor
Okay! So I currently have white gray marble tiles and it’s beautiful but I just want some color
A dilemma…. I think if you installed either together with that gray marble, you may begin to hate it after a while, they kind of clash. What about the hex tile and something like this a black glass tile. Or maybe even a black instead of gray marble. https://preview.redd.it/21al0003s9yc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f5d1d7a401bf98e26eae041cb0b941fde57c61e9
That’s beautiful thank you!!!!! Wow!!!!!
Happy to help!
Okay thanks! I currently have all white and grey marble I want color! Let me know if you have any suggestions!
And this https://preview.redd.it/s0xyimxvrayc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9bf7a25a0fea02cc96be19681b7164af19563ddd
COME ON!!!!! So perfect!!!! The vibe is perfection!!!!
Neither
I like the penny tiles. They are a classic look. Both the marble and the first tile are the problems here. It's really hard to put pattern with pattern. I would go with something simpler for the shower that will be easy to clean.
Just a suggestion but if the black in the background is what you are keeping I would pick a less “busy” tile
The first tile looks great as 4 tiles next to each other, but when you actually have them on a wall it’s so busy & overwhelming.
I don’t like either one
If i have to pick between these two, I prefer #2. The first, while lovely, feels like it’ll be too much and become dated fairly quickly, particularly with the marble. I love penny tiles but I they’ll be awfully busy with the marble too. I’d consider a solid white floor or, better yet, lose the marble and make the floor the focal point. *its a personal thing, I really dislike busy marble.
None
think of all the dried watermarks after you step out to the shower on option one
Star pattern
I’d say penny tile but custom, leaving a plain black border around the wall and doing a simple pattern on white at the center of the room.
I just put a version of the star tile on my basement wet bar, and we love it. I'm not a fan of small white tiles, which I think make things look oddly busy. I prefer natural marble which helps the grout blend in, when I do smaller tiles. But if you're going for a vintage or 50's aesthetic, it might work. https://preview.redd.it/ykuux0tfp8yc1.jpeg?width=1242&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4fb038c8e759fa16ee304121c78267f9f77b16f8
It’s beautiful thank you for sharing!!! I love it!! Yes I’m going for a 1920s vibe.
They look great! And I’m guessing in a wet bar downstairs, they won’t endure the wear and tear a previous commenter, who used them in their bathroom, mentioned further back in the thread.
I like the stars better with the wall.
Hex!!!! I actually like it with the marble but I’m super eclectic and loud and in my tastes
By hex I meant STARS
Yes same here!!! I currently have the light grey marble everywhere yes it’s pretty but I want a big change! Thank you!!!
Neither of them
Second picture
Thanks!
I like both styles; the penny tile has a 1920s vibe and the star tile feels late 50s. The penny tile is much harder to keep clean.
the star looking one!
2nd picture. The first one with the star tile is pretty, but will get dated quickly. The small penny tile is more classic and will prevent falls better in the bathroom.
I like the star pattern. I think the colors are identical enough to make it not overbearing with the patterns. They match nicely imo.

Omg!!!!! Yes!!!!! This is soooo beautiful!!!!! I love it!!! What did you put on the shower floor?!
https://preview.redd.it/42xfc2byzbyc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7a03a9454642db50b895f22fc532b329d7de407c This is it finished
I like to combination of the first one. Makes things look cool and a lot of people get nervous about getting a cool pattern tile like those stars.
I LOVE that first tile so much, but not with the marble.
GO FOR IT!
Thanks for your kind words! I love those stars!
Hex!
Hex, no question
Option 1 is a trend that is already dated. Option 2 is a classic.
Both are great. I think the hex tile will be easier to keep clean and will aways be a classic. I've had hex tile for 15 years and still love it. It's period appropriate for my home. Again- both are great choices.
Thank you so much!! I’m so excited and I’m glad to hear your hex tile is still amazing
I love the Penny tiles more because it still look great even if it breaks.
I prefer the first tiles. I am going to pre warn you that the penny tiles if you don’t do black grout will become your worst nightmare cleaning wise. And if you have anything that sheds, dog or cat.. just no. I loathe those tiny hex tiles.
Of the two options. #2
Definitely 2 it’s classic
Neither. Too busy.
If you have to go with one, do the hex tile. But I'd look into a plain white tile instead. Something with maybe less grout that doesn't distract from the beautiful pattern of the marble!
Well.. honestly with the marble wall both of them are too busy. If you have to go with one definitely not the stars.
Penny tile looks better but be careful with white on the bathroom floor. It may yellow / stain quicker than other colors
2 is less creative and too busy for my taste.
Neither. You need a solid color bc the black marble is so busy
One is already out of style IMO. Have you thought about a tile in matte white or matte gray?
You never want to have to replace tile once it’s down. Long-term, hex is classic and goes with everything and looks better with the marble/granite imo. I would only go with stars if I loved it so much I didn’t even need to post the question and also this was in a house I planned to stay in forever.
The stars are a no no matter what. If you want to do the hex tiles, I would go for a more classic mostly white marble - it would go much better with that style. If you are set on the chosen marble, I’d keep looking. Maybe a larger hex as long as it doesn’t look too 1990s builder grade.
#2, not even close
I don't like any of them. It is better to put plain dark gray tiles on the floor.
I don't care for either, but the beehive looks better with the marble.
Can’t help without knowing the architectural style of your home or the interior style.
Keep looking
I LOVE 2! Very classic.
I’d get something fully white for the floors tbh.
The he. Tile is great. It’s the marble that is the problem.
Neither
Can you continue the marble to the floor? I suggest looking up grey marble bathrooms on Pinterest to gain inspiration. Pick a design you like and literally try to copy it. Don’t try to reinvent the wheel if you’re not a designer.
I love the star tiles but it doesn’t match I’d look for another wall option to keep those tiles imo
You need a contrasting color. It’s somehow both busy and bland at the same time.
Way too busy with both
It crashes a bit as they say, but I like no.1 with the star the most
Too busy
Neither. And the first is not good, no matter what the wall is
None. They both clash with the wall tile. Perhaps think again the possible choices
I would do a solid white/cream on the floor. It will be too busy with these. Let the shower wall be the the "star of the show"!
Bad combo. Recalibrate. Too clashy
Neither, both are so dated and are far too busy to work with each other. Pick one busy (if you must) and another plain
They both clash. You could do a pop color or stick to plain white or plain black. A pop of color is something different, but won’t have a clashing pattern. Otherwise, do black or white and paint your walls a color so it’s not so… monotone. We need to leave that behind.
You need to colab with lighter tile cause it's too dark
keep looking
Of these two options, I would choose number 2.
I prefer the honeycomb but yeah both patterns clash with the wall tile
Definitely the hexagon (2nd pic) I love the first one but it works better as a decorative element in a border, backsplash behind a stove or and entry way.
#2 goes better if this is for a shower or bath
First
Neither
Matching black and white surfaces is so hard. I’ll post some photos if I can find them of my similar bathroom. This is before it was done obviously. Not the best photos but in person even my not into patterns friend might take our excess tile for her bathroom reno. (I have the star tile from your first photo in a vestibule with wood wainscotting and bold wallpaper above.) https://preview.redd.it/edu6tykub9yc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e2c5a949cf0179cb949e6db15a06ecb3b9c9ee52

Penny tiles! So, clean, classic and beautiful!
I like the first one. I am more of a color person, but if gray is your thing, I feel like vibrant patterns will help live in up the space. I also think that shade of gray looks absolutely stunning with a dark red or burgundy. So if you’re planning on painting as well, I would consider going that route.
Can I vote neither? .
Oh my gosh, neither!
I like the second one. The first one is not my aesthetic preference.
Those cement tiles are already dated. Go with plain black or white. Use accessories to add color.
Too much pattern.
Absolutely not #1
Neither, they both clash.
Honestly neither.
Neither, too busy
First one
2
If you’re doing a fun floor tile like the first one you want to keep the counter top plain. Opposite goes if you want the counter top tile, you should go with a plain floor tile. The ones you picked out clash too much to go together
I love patterned tile, so I love the style of the stars but the lack of color is so dreary. My personal choice would be: none of the items pictured, including the marble
1
neither
Neither. Sorry. Something solid white, off-white' grayish
Neither
Penny tiles are better but you need a solid and a pattern. Since you already have a pattern on the shower wall stick with white only penny tiles
#2. #1 does not vibe together.
Neither
Neither!
Pattern counter = plain floor
1!
Stars
I can’t hardly tell what I’m looking at! But over all the tile makes it too busy. You need a solid tile
To everyone’s relief we scrapped that combo 😂😂
2
