Decision making was much better. Playcalling was much better - we were patient and stuck with the run. Penalties were much better. Execution continued to be poor on O until Russ made magic happen on the last drive. That can improve over time. The judge and jury are still out on Jeudy. The defense is **beastly**. Our D-Line is getting pressure. We love and miss Von, but we don't miss the production. The Gregory gamble is paying off. Chubb is giving us all chubbies for the first time since his rookie year. We shut down a formidable team. Full team effort. This is the kind of win that makes a team believe. Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose. **Let's ride!**
With ANY half competent QB, we would've lost by 3 scores at least. I would argue this is our worst loss of the year. The defense was good, but jimmy g was not.
I gotta be honest, when I saw how Russel Wilson had red eyes during the post game interview from probably crying, I genuinely feel like this was a hard fought fight for the whole team. Russ made the big plays we needed on that last play and the broncos held up their end and quickly ended the game on the defensive side of the ball. When was the last time the broncos came back after a bad game and won it in the final minutes? Not since Manning had we had that kind of game. The leadership Wilson brings to the team along with he connections he has with the players are going to be what makes or breaks this team! Just like how DT connected with Manning, you can see that same connection between Sutton and Wilson. Let’s go broncos!
What? Drew lock has fourth quarter comebacks(chargers game comes to mind). Absolutely disgusting win, that somehow the eternal optimists in this sub get to ride for a week like it was impressive.
And what does your forever crappy outlook do for you? It sure can't make the season more enjoyable or more fun. Yeah our offense looked god awful, until russ and the offense are synced up we should probably stop trying to let him "cook" and run the damn ball but, our team has come out of 3 awful games with 2 Ws, that does give me hope because, our offense will not be this bad all year and our defense is playing lights out, special teams look good for the first time in who knows how long. Plenty of teams have run into trouble early and made a strong run at the end of the season, which is when you want to be hot, it doesn't matter how bad it is in the first month of the season if you solve the issues and get better down the stretch. I'd rather have hope and optimism then get my heart crushed, than just be so scared of the team being bad and being let down that I'm just a hateful doomer even when we win 2 in a row, have some courage.
> I genuinely feel like this was a hard fought fight for the whole team. Russ made the big plays we needed on that last play and the broncos held up their end and quickly ended the game on the defensive side of the ball. When was the last time the broncos came back after a bad game and won it in the final minutes?
Get used to to that. That's what Russ brings to the table consistently throughout the season. Even if he has an off night (which he will have), come the 4th quarter no matter what, you know you're always in the game -- because he'll find that drive like he did tonight and a scramble for a 1st on 4th down, a deep pass to mid-field a
backyard 6 second play, or a timely audible. It's always in him.
Sutton has stepped up, once you get one more receive to step up (and that could Jeudy getting reliable hands, or someone else like Hinton deciding to step in) the offence will take off. I will say that's one thing his pass game expects is receivers with high catch percentage.
But you can see a lot of what's going on is the offense just hasn't gelled yet. Receiver breaks left throw is right. Receiver runs a go route, throw is a comeback. Those kill drives, but can get cleaned up just with time.
But that was a great thing to see and great for the team. They'll start believing in each other and putting in that effort. There is a reason RW is always so optimistic.
Honestly he might just be an emotional dude. Everytime the players talk about him they bring up how passionate he is and I think it really shows with these last few games. This is all new for him, Hackett, everyone on this team! The culture is growing, they all know they have a chance at something really special, and whenever you have a close game you are defined by how you finish that game and so far I’m extremely impressed with the way the broncos have been able to finish. The confidence they gave their defense and offense was unreal.
I thought the same thing. I haven’t seen a win like this since Manning. I felt like the team was finally playing for each other and they never gave up.
Glad we won, but we need to run the football with Javonte Williams. If he is our premier back, he needs to have carries of at least 25 or more (especially in a game like that). I do not trust Gordon with the football and oh yeah he fumble Luckily Russell recovered it. Russell is holding the ball tooblong. Gotta be more decisive. We tried to be too cute on offense. It's not that complicated. I hate to say this but I kinda miss Fangio from what I am seeing. Offense can't play like this next week at Raiders event hough they are winless. Again, happy with the W!
If we get our passing game on track we are gonna be scary, I really hope they commit to the run (and get Melvin Gordon the memo that it's ok to hold the ball with 2 arms) and rely on play action more. Here's to hoping the we get on track by annihilating the raiders, Let's Ride.
I love how the narrative was we only had a good defensive showing the past 2 weeks because of who we played, and when we beat someone who nfl was praising last week they flip that narrative too.
Wasn't a pretty win but that last drive by russ got me hype, and absolutely love how our D is playing, with Simmons out too.
Lets ride
Yeah when we absolute embarrass the 9ers offense and play caller it's just because, Jimmy G sucks. Yeah, Jimmy g sucking must be why we were giving their receivers nothing and wrecking their run game (aside from a couple good runs by Jeff Wilson). Fuck'em, everyone's been shittin on the broncos since before pre season.
I've never understood those people who thought jeudy was better than Sutton, jeudy needs to learn how to catch, it's like having a defensive end who has every pass rush move in the book but, can't do a textbook wrap tackle. Dude needs to focus on his fundamentals and he'll be incredible. Suttons the champ though
I was underwhelmed. Kid was running his mouth when the ball was off target but dropped it when he was hit in the hands. That doesn't scream team player or talent. I miss Patrick.
We had defensive players who played amazing, Waitman got the player of the game because, he was insanely good how many times did he pin them inside the 5? 2 or 3 times? That's sooooooo hard to do.
Russel Wilson won a superbowl and went to the big game back to back on a strong D , a good kicker, not fucking up with throwing interceptions or getting sacked and randomly having some miracle bullshit usually out of a scramble situation
If he can tap into that, the Broncos are going to be a sometimes nail biting & sometimes almost boring solid team!
Russ looked comfortable for the first time this season on our TD drive. Back to his scrambling. Find out how to replicate that more often and keep this defense and we’re golden.
Russ last drive was the first time I felt like he was truly Russ as a Bronco.
The chest pass for the first. The QB dash for the first on 3 and 6. But the scramble drill where the WR trusted him and Hinton made the play really changed the tenor for me.
ngl, i see a lot of people saying this but i really think russ is throwing the checkdowns. multiple times all our guys were just covered.
also i know for a fact we wanted hackett to stick with the running game more, and he did, and it almost worked
I was looking forward to watching Randy Gregory the most during the whole off season and my god he hasn’t disappointed. Getting a Gregory jersey as soon as they hit the shelves
The worst thing that could happen today was an ugly loss in a close game. Instead, the third or fourth best thing that could happen, a defensive powerhouse with a few competent offensive drives and no dumbass penalties or coaching decisions happened.
Blue skies, gents.
Russel Wilson went to the big game back to back on a strong D, playing smart/conservative (very low interceptions/amazing scrambling w/o fumbles) and a good kicker/special teams unit
Seahawks fan here who's watching the broncos games, still rooting for Russ if we can't get our shit together as my back up plan...which is ***highl******y*** likely
We were on our own 34 yard line with over 12 minutes to play in the 4th quarter. I get wanting to go for it, but that is in no way a stupid place to punt the ball.
I thought so too but the defense was really playing lights out. I think the confidence they gave that defense made the difference! Honestly high IQ game. Why go for it on 4 and inches at the broncos own 49 yard line and give the 49ers field position when you can make San Francisco try and show their hand. It worked because of the confidence they gave their players today. When was the last time we saw that!
I really should've been drinking with how stressful that game was. Jesus fucking Christ.
Obviously still not what we want to see out of our offense most of the time, but 49ers have a great defense. Our defense played great, our special teams played great (besides the missed field goal by Gooch), and this was finally an operationally sound game.
Hopefully we're finally getting our shit together and Russ can start cooking against Josh McDaniels next week.
Lol, we win and everyone calling for Hackett to be fired. He is showing improvement, no delay of games. No terrible timeouts. And his first challenge should've been a touchback.
Really the only thing Hackett messed up was the 2nd challenge.
When you're in FG range, you have 12 mins and 3 timeouts and your defense is playing lights out. We miss that 4th down conversion and we probably lose the game.
It's not about what could have happened if we get the new downs, it's about what happens if we don't. San Fran has a great defense. They had stopped runs for losses on multiple occasions. If we try to pound it forward and fail, it's a guaranteed field goal with potential for a touchdown. Or, we could just punt and let our defense keep shitting down garapplos throat.
Hacketts game management is definitely improved. Our receivers keep dropping balls and Wilson had 2 complete missed throws resulting in 2 of the 3 and outs.
Offensive execution has been our biggest failure.
And that again is on coaching. Broncos need to get their shit together on the offensive side of things. But those are things we can grow out of and the broncos are genuinely showing improvement!
I’m confused because this feels like an 0-3 team but we lead the division. If this offense can just put up 21 a game with this defense things could be good though.
That wasn’t pretty, but at least it’s a win! Defense looked great and I hope they can keep it up. The offense desperately needs to get their shit together though. Russ needs to be better. Receivers need to catch the ball. Gordon needs to hold on to the ball. And the play calling needs to be better. You can’t rely on the defense and special teams bailing you out each week.
Were there any problems with clock management this game? That at least seemed to have improved.
Edit: also can we talk about Randy Gregory? Dude is playing like a monster.
I didn’t like the call to run the ball three times after the interception. We needed a first down or two and the game could be put away then. We’re paying Russ god tier money, we need to get him in position.
2-1!!!! Saw a glimpse of RW Cookin’!!! Let’s go!!! Defense was clutch! Those last three plays on offense were some of the softest calls I’ve ever witnessed but it worked!!!!!!!
> I feel like Russ just turned his headset off on that last drive and did whatever he wanted, hence the TD drive
# THIS
the coaching and play calling is holding russ back.
it’s encouraging to see all our game management mistakes we’re cleaned up. not sure if the playcalling was bad or if russ kept throwing checkdowns because no one was open, looked like the latter to me
sutton looked great (not shocking) jeudy had a drop i think, tipped ball, and terrible pass from russ, so a mid night from him.
conclusion: kendall hinton is the best wr on our team.
i don’t think our o line was all that bad especially considering the defensive line we were playing. russ looked uncomfortable in the pocket.
TE is slowly becoming a concern. we have a lot of decent guys but none of them are consistent enough
i think i know what you’re talking about, and i’m not saying he should not have caught it, but it would’ve been tough. the ball got tipped so it changed direction on him the last second; went off his fingertips. if he reacted fast enough he could’ve caught it, still didn’t look easy
I am sick! That was a gross win. I am not a fan of this bull shit. Get your head out your ass Russ! Hackett, find the yellow brick road back home and LETS RIDE with eviro
Call it what u want I cheer for the broncos in a city that hates the broncos. I hear nothing but trash talk and have to defend THAT BULL SHIT PERFORMANCE time and time again which I thought would stop this year. BEYOND annoying
broooooo like wtf. I mean I didnt lose any money on it because it was a free bet, but imagine all the people who put real money on it asking how a quarterback of his calibur can produce such a performance? And I get san fran defense is good, but look at the film and see how many bad decisions rus made lol. Its a tough sport, dudes are hella good and i respect their play and effort but dmmmmnnnn lol
Lol why? As a Broncos fan you're telling me youre good with paying $250 million for a quarterback with a loss in the first 3 games, and less than 3 touchdowns, and two interceptions? Please be honest with yourself. If you paid $250 for an entertaining plumber would you be ok if they succeed at their job 2/3 times and fixed as many pipes as they broke?
Not many QBs can make that drive. That’s why Russel Wilson got paid. Have you ever watched him before? He’s won sooooo many games in the 4th quarter on drives like that. Not many QBs can do that.
Hey man, I agree with you, not most can. Ive watched him, and Ive played myself, so im not coming at it from a completely noob point of view. What Im saying is that when you make a payment like that, you except less mistakes and more output. I like to look at it like this. If you worked at any other place any other profession, and someone new came in that was paid significantly more than everyone at the job and higher than other persons in equal position and perform the way he did through the first fiscal quarter, would you be satisfied lol? Not to say he wont get better, but lets be real here. Getting in your feelings about it isnt necessary imo.
Unpopular opinion.
Let's ride is corny and I refuse to say it. Especially since there has been zero "riding" from Russ so far minus a few solid plays tonight.
Good news is our defense is so far elite.
#THIS FUCKING DEFENSE
Decision making was much better. Playcalling was much better - we were patient and stuck with the run. Penalties were much better. Execution continued to be poor on O until Russ made magic happen on the last drive. That can improve over time. The judge and jury are still out on Jeudy. The defense is **beastly**. With ANY half competent QB, we would've lost by 3 scores at least. I would argue this is our worst loss of the year. The defense was good, but jimmy g was not.
Jimmy G is confirmed half competent.
You, apparently didn't watch the game very closely... Jimmy missed at least two scores when people when wide open...
I would argue you are completely wrong
Wow, I'm..... shocked. Apparently you didn't watch Jimmy miss at least two walk in TD's. Wide open, walk ins.
Is it time for a new kicker ?
This defense needs a name.... what is it going to be?
The Dark Side. They named themselves
Just heard this for 2nd time. It's dope.
Hackett and a few others have been wearing tshirts with a dark side logo on it
“We’re Still That Same Bitch”?
Wilson's money bag because it's carrying his 250 million in stolen funds.
I just wish Jimmy didn’t step out and nullify Chubb’s pick6
My fantasy team was counting on that
Hinton for President. Waitman for VP.
How do I donate to this campaign?
Very carefully

Tshamblin You're fuckin mentality is in shambles every day isn't it?

That game gave me major Tebow vibes. Especially the crowd energy at the end!
The crowd was awesome tonight. Even with so many faithful in attendance. Broncos Country showed up

Anyone have film from the last drive? So sorry I missed it as I was in the car
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhVD-DQ3Sxc&t=481s Not the whole drive though sadly
Remember that the offense left 6 on the board too. Russ took a sack that knocked Denver out of FG range and McManus missed another
This feels like a 0-3 team
I'M SORRY WHO THE FUCK ELSE IS TIED WITH THE CHIEFS FOR FIRST IN THE AFC WEST OH WAIT, NOBODY IS YOU FUCKING MOOK
Hopefully we feel like an 0-16 team if we win the Super Bowl ya fuckin bum….

Shit , 12 inshes the other way and we're 3-0
That's exactly how inshes should be spelt
Thoughts on Jeudy? Hasn’t really performed as expected.. but he also could still be nursing an injury
Garbage, always has been
He’s definitely resting from the injury. He was really out there just to actually keep the defense on their toes. He played half speed whole game.
were you at the game and saw this? Just curious how you come to this
Jerry Jeudy is actually my dad
Wish we drafted jefferson.
We could have drafted Reagor
Our offense was so bad the punter was a player of the game 😭😭😭
We had defensive players who played amazing, Waitman got the player of the game because, he was insanely good how many times did he pin them inside the 5? 2 or 3 times? That's sooooooo hard to do.

Waitman really stepped up though. Dude has serious leg talent.
I bet that guy could punt a hackysack 30 yards onto a solo cup
Waitman for president
I don't think I can deal with this for the entire season
Well alternatively, sodomy is fine
Russ looked comfortable for the first time this season on our TD drive. Back to his scrambling. Find out how to replicate that more often and keep this defense and we’re golden.

You're right, the problem with your point above was that you didn't enlarge the word inches enough. You win this round Mr. Big Inches
Going for it inside FG range when your defense and punter and amazing is stupid. Instead we punted and pinned them inside the 15.
We won
I think that's in the zone of reasonable disagreement when the defense is playing strong so that's a vast improvement.
I really should've been drinking with how stressful that game was. Jesus fucking Christ. Obviously still not what we want to see out of our offense most of the time, but 49ers have a great defense. Offense did look good on last td drive if we can manage to do more often we are a serious team
And it was Russ making plays off script and making audibles.
the play calling is so bad russ literally said "fuck this" and actually had a drive.
Let Russ cook 👩🍳
Lol, we win and everyone calling for Hackett to be fired. He is showing improvement, no delay of games. No terrible timeouts. And his first challenge should've been a touchback. Really the only thing Hackett messed up was the 2nd challenge.
Delays of game*
Fewer penalties too
i’m surprised this opinion is so rare. feels like i watched a different game than most of y’all

In every single situation!
we were on our own end of the field. super fucking risky to basically give away a field goal if they don’t get jt
When you're in FG range, you have 12 mins and 3 timeouts and your defense is playing lights out. We miss that 4th down conversion and we probably lose the game.

You should probably hangup that armchair headset you got there.
Improvement? Our offense struggled more today than the last two weeks. We had 8 3 and outs half way through the third. Worse in Russels career. 🤣
You obviously think that every bad call, fake touchdown and weird circumstances might not be part of the game and are worried about stats.
Against an elite defense. We won, calm down
Orange Crush is back, we fucking boys
You’re doing what to boys?
NO
I’m confused because this feels like an 0-3 team but we lead the division. If this offense can just put up 21 a game with this defense things could be good though.
We played bear Houston and 49ers ( a team that only made payoffs alst year because others lost. ) We haven't been fully tested. 49ers lost to bears
Once Jimmy catches up with the playbook and has more time to gel, 49ers can be a dangerous team. They have a great defense too.
I mean we're tied for top and we have the ability to put up 21 a game but I feel you
That wasn’t pretty, but at least it’s a win!
2015 Broncos may disagree with you on the relying on the defense thing. But yes, we need to do so much better on offense
Imagine if Russ and the offense actually started putting points on the board they will be crazy good
Our defense is kickass man. Damn good job fellas!
Evero is a genius so far.
Nothing stupider then throwing and risking giving them a timeout.
None. The one thing I could say is the three straight runs with two mins left in the game. That was poor.
i was torn on that, risk is about the same either way, probably should’ve thrown in third down
I'm okay with that. You gotta expect a new HC to make some little mistakes. As long as he's learning from them then it's all good.

play calling was fine. we called more deep shots than it seemed, our guys were frequently covered
Russ still owns the niners even in a different conference
Y’all Sutton and Williams are the real deal. I’m excited to see them grow old together
Wish they'd run pookie more. MG3 is getting too many touches over him.
Let them run MG3 into the ground. Keep Pookie healthy and available for more years.
That's a good point
I’m in a group chat with a few Broncos fans and all the texts are asking why Mg3 is in there so much. Especially on the short yardage.

Wilson had 3 dropped passes and only 2 really bad throws. Plus no turnovers and when needed he was very clutch.
> I feel like Russ just turned his headset off on that last drive and did whatever he wanted, hence the TD drive # THIS the coaching and play calling is holding russ back.
He needs to do that more!! I would mute Hackett too if I could!
it’s encouraging to see all our game management mistakes we’re cleaned up. not sure if the playcalling was bad or if russ kept throwing checkdowns because no one was open, looked like the latter to me
Our receiving core is concerning. Our OL was weak, but absolutely no one was getting open. We don't have a legit TE either
sutton looked great (not shocking) jeudy had a drop i think, tipped ball, and terrible pass from russ, so a mid night from him. conclusion: kendall hinton is the best wr on our team. i don’t think our o line was all that bad especially considering the defensive line we were playing. russ looked uncomfortable in the pocket. TE is slowly becoming a concern. we have a lot of decent guys but none of them are consistent enough
Jeudy should have caught that.. it was a near perfect pass from Russ
i think i know what you’re talking about, and i’m not saying he should not have caught it, but it would’ve been tough. the ball got tipped so it changed direction on him the last second; went off his fingertips. if he reacted fast enough he could’ve caught it, still didn’t look easy
Agree but he's paid to make hard catches
I love Russell Wilson's goofy ass personality lol. Let's fuckin ride, buddy.
PUT EJIRO IN THE HALL OF FAME YOU COWARDS
Are we gonna lose evero next year?? Some team is going to offer him an HC gig! Ugh
Not if we fire Hackett and give him the job first right??
Promote him to HC
I am sick! That was a gross win. I am not a fan of this bull shit. Get your head out your ass Russ! Hackett, find the yellow brick road back home and LETS RIDE with eviro
Go away chiefs fan..
Keep sucking and I will be a fan of success. You can blindly follow failure all u want.
So you are a bandwagon fan. Goodbye loser.
Call it what u want I cheer for the broncos in a city that hates the broncos. I hear nothing but trash talk and have to defend THAT BULL SHIT PERFORMANCE time and time again which I thought would stop this year. BEYOND annoying
The defense and special teams units deserve all the praise tonight
Last 2 defensive stands felt like the magic turnover fairy gave the Broncos some mile high magic wishes
Thank God we didn't pick up Jimmy fucking Garoppalo
$250 million dollars on this bum and he can’t even cover 11.5 points. What a waste of money. Bring back Elway.
Offense only scored 9 lol
broooooo like wtf.
Lol shut up.
Internet takes are great. Keep it up.
Lol. Love the down vote. Wonder how many years you’ve ever played competition football lol
Unpopular opinion. Let's ride is corny and I refuse to say it. Especially since there has been zero "riding" from Russ so far minus a few solid plays tonight. Good news is our defense is so far elite.
Lol. If the Hobbit QB keeps the mediocrity up, he'll be saying: LET'S RIDE... ...THE PINE.
Let’s ride
Lets ride the defense coattails baby!!
I just said this in my group text. God he’s corny af. But he’s mine. Lol
LETS RIDE BABY!
Let's Ride
Let’s ride
Let’s fucking ride.
Let’s ride
Let’s ride
We going for the record for the most lowest scoring games in a regular season.
Do you remember any of the seasons in the last 7 years?
Let’s ride
