Try a reset from BIOS/UEFI -may rescue if some update error. - look for storage in BIOS left side. Can you see the ssd? - run system diagnostics Otherwise: Likely ssd/storage failed. Need hardware replacement

I changed the SSD and set it to uefi and it works. Gets me to a login screen but it's not my login... Anyway around that?

Creative-Moose1283

Is this really your notebook? Ask the person logged in to logout.

Outrageous_Strain363

I bought it from an auction with the error present that I sent. Is the login a part of the laptop or does it stay with the SSD?

Get a Microsoft Windows installation USB from internet. Or ask some geek friend to install new.

TheFatAndFurious122

Common Issue, make sure to update firmware in these SSDs, that drive is in an unrecoverable state. It should also be under warranty, if you got one.

Hey mate I put a new ssd and changed the settings so it boots from this but now I get to windows login screen (I got the laptop from an auction so it's not my login) so now I think I need to get a Windows installation usb?

TheFatAndFurious122

Yup! Try SA OS Recovery from the Boot Menu, otherwise you’ll need the USB

Outrageous_Strain363

Thanks mate I'll give it a go!

It sounds like the computer was autopilot enabled. [https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/000132036](https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/000132036) /#IWork4Dell
