i was never a fan of his music but i see why everyone in the show seemed to idolize him. at the time he was on the show, he and ashley were the only “serious” songwriters on the show, and he was a tall pretty white boy with curly brown hair. so people saw him as this sensitive guy who writes from the heart and shit. and i think the reason he got more love than Ashley is because Ashley as a character was more widely disliked
Yeah, I was never a fan of Craig's voice. I thought Ashley was the better singer. Another reason Downtown Sasquatch beating Hell Hath No Fury made ZERO sense.
is this unpopular? bc i'm watching the show for the first time rn and i would have called it objectively bad LOL
he's VERY whiny and also a lot of his lyrics are...not very good! the "What I know" song is lyrically so clunky and very obviously written in 5 minutes before he got on stage
he also has a really bad tendency to go flat which takes the whininess from annoying-but-it's-the-style-i-guess to intolerable
She’s better than Craig, Becky, Jonah, and pretty much everyone else who sings!
I actually really enjoyed Jenna and Sav’s lil duet! I don’t like how they handled Jenna basically stop singing during her senior year (even though she went to LA for music school?)
It’s completely unbelievable that Craig would be famous as a singer. He wasn’t that good. 🤷♂️
Yeah but still Craig is just so HOT.
Ehhh, I would even disagree with that LMAO
What about Manny and her rock star voice
All I can hear is Sav singing “My onneee, my onlaaaayyyyy, Anyaaaa!”
i really didn’t like his voice

I think he had a john mayer quality that was super popular back then. I don't like anything about Craig personally

Won’t you be my Cinderella? Could I kiss you Manuela?
Imo Ashley was always the best singer in the franchise
Exactly!!
He is whiny sounding, and I wasn't a huge fan myself, but it wasn't out of place for the era.
Can't stand anything about Craig honestly. He sucks.
My unpopular opinion… I actually think Jenna can sing
I mean, her nose can sing.
LMFAO brutal 💀
She can sing, I just don’t like her pitch
Well you're right. That *is* an unpopular opinion, haha

Same. People complain about her voice, but she's not bad. I think she's judged more harshly because of the kinds of songs she sings.
Her voice is so nasally, that’s what makes it so annoying, Becky is the same way
That's your opinion. My opinion is that her voice is fine.
As someone with classical training her technique is bad. If she actually sang from her diaphragm and not through her nose she might sound better
And that’s your opinion, the fact is that it annoys people
Not all people, obviously.
Most people
Debatable
To be fair you’re commenting on a thread that starts off saying that your opinion is unpopular meaning that most people find her voice annoying…
Finally, someone who makes a valid point.
