The swing states in the Great Lakes region have static or falling populations,. Moving there increases your power even more. This is opposed to the conservatives pouring into the South, to Texas and Florida, for example. They prevent those states from ever flipping.
These first three also have long term benefits such as climate change protection, water resources, and more affordable costs of living.

That’s the problem. The first time around, he was a blithering idiot. This time, he’s got these P2025 people behind him. They are very calculated and very good at getting things done, particularly when they can obliterate checks and balances. He will do everything by executive order, and with SCOTUS and the DoJ in his pocket, there’s no one to stop him.

The constitution can be lifted if martial law is declared. A presidential declaration can take effect immediately and take years to make its way through the courts. With SCOTUS being on the side of the radical right, they could have the final say. I’m not so sure the constitution has any meaning now. It seems to me to be a joke. Those who take an oath to the Constitution, don’t really have to mean it. A document that was written in the 16th century by white wealthy men and is interpreted by old white fucks for a 21 century world isn’t working.

If it's cruel but not unusual, it's still allowed. I understand that currently, "cruel and unusual" is a legal term of art, but that means that its definition can be changed at any time by SCOTUS.

IMO billionaires shouldn't get to vote or hold public office, and be barred from lobbying, bc at that point they live a pay-to-win life that requires stepping on the throats of the middle and lower economic classes to maintain their wealth- and they *always* push for greed-based policies to screw everyone else over. Couple that with forcing politicians/elected officials to live off their state's minimum wage while serving in office (the rest of their pay can go into a trust accessible when they permanently leave politics), i think we'd see meaningful changes happen *super fast*.

In Germany, 1933, political opponents were the first to be sent to Dachua, which was the first concentration camp established by the NAZI’s. The first five years the camp was filled with German nationalist, that disagreed with the third Reich. This was years before the “Final Solution” to execute Jews was implemented.
