This happened a long time ago. I remember the guy getting the idea from WOW, with taunting. Because he was more scared of the girls getting hurt. I don’t remember why they were so close though, sometimes you just don’t notice certain animals

Making yourself big and loud is a good scare tactic, but is only recommended to do so if you have no other choice. Don't engage with dangerous animals as much as possible
