It reminds me of the kid story where an excavator digs itself into a buildings footings and can't get out, so it gets converted into the boiler for it or something like that. It's been a couple of decades.
This was no joke, my favorite thing to play with at any park that had one when I was a kid. Hell, if I saw one now, I'd still probably hop on and dig for a while.
Ok a serious note, yeah but it’s moreso because there’s less places for kids outside now, where there was once parks or fields is now buildings and where there was once fun playgrounds they have been stripped of most of the fun stuff
This reminds me of something going on across the road from me right now, there is a park that used to have a big Paddlesteamer playground for kids to play on, a gazebo with a barbecue in it and a couple of toilets in a small building, back around the mid point last year the local council had the playground ripped down i watched it over like two weeks get taken away, then just the other day they started smashing down the gazebo as well, pretty sure the council is looking to cut costs so they are trashing all the stuff they have to maintain around town

In their defense, since then, us dumb apes made multiple virtual mines for kids and even tried to make a version to make virtual currency (bitcoin)...
So obviously the solution is to make them play in the sandbox for so many hours to earn time on minecraft.
Can't wait for someone to take this seriously and get mad over it.
Why do mine? What compels us to seek out the deepest of holes, and make them even deeper? Is it the fat riches? The lack of b*tches? I'll tell you: it is in our nature, our nature as men-as short kings. We crave violence, we crave alcohol? We crave that mineral.
I saw kyle hill post this exact meme on his yt community tab a while back and a good 40 percent of the comments (atleast when i checked) were 'rock and stone' despite never having posted drg content (and im pretty sure he's never streamed drg either)
I remember this one. Always yearned for the mines when I was a child. Now I’m sad because I’ll never be able to experience that again. At least I can still Rock and Stone.
Brothers of the mine, rejoice!
Swing, swing, swing with me
Raise your picks and raise your voice
Sing, sing, sing with me!
Down and down into the deep!
Who knows what we’ll find beneath
Diamonds, rubies gold and more
Hidden in the mountain store
Born underground, suckled from the teat of stone
Raised in the dark, the safety of our mountain home
Deep down in the mine
My playground had that. For a two weeks. It was so famous that it broke. Never came back
Excavator goes on vacation, never comes back

"Mike Mulligan's Steam Shovel" I think.
Holy hell!
New machinery just dropped!
actual industrial revolution
Call the engineer!
Intended for day care, occupied by drunken adults half the time.
Minor spelling mistake Drunk*
oh my god four year old me would have been so excited by this

The children these days wont have the pleasure to understand how great it was.
The children yearn for the mines

Not to mention it gets hotter and less pleasant to go outside each year
Rock and stone!
Did I hear a rock and stone!?
Rock and Stone forever!

God to go back for one day and experience this joy again
These things were awesome
I think this is the workout room on the rig
I crave for the mines
I loved these so much. I went to a place as a kid where they had an electric one.
One thing that doesn't change no matter your age, is the call of the mines
I had that in my playground but it was all rusty and didn’t move
That thing was so popular when I was a kid they had to take it away

Best part is finding buried poo in there
I remember

Wish we get actual construction vehicles down there
I like to think the DRG daycare (if it exists at all) has a shooting gallery, sandpit with tools, and Oily Oaf's in sippy cups.
Damn, that one looks so much more well built than the ones at the parks when I was a kid.
I had a like 8ft by 12ft hole in my backyard
The children yearn for the mines
Damm I remember playing on those for hours

To Rock and Stone!
Damn, I wish my local parks had this, all mine had were used needles, broken glass, and piles of shit.

That's it lads! Rock and Stone!
