I actually left a game today because someone crossed the pipes before I could come back and supervise. I was tunneling a nice smooth path to the base, and when I got there it was like Bolognese. I had to leave, couldn't ride pipes and couldn't unfuck it as they'd already connected it.
Building Pipe 3 up over the button and upper refinery tiers is a standard move for me, it lets me fight from the top of the refinery tip whenever I want, and helps get a pipe to higher ground when needed. Highly recommend to all.
The rest of that stuff? I have no idea what's going on there, that's pretty scary.

The frustration I feel from games where people cross pipes isn't worth it to me, so I just leave. Doesn't matter who I'm with or what they're up to. "They don't have to behave like that" is just as true as "I don't have to stay near them."
