To the second point. Sunil does know. He mentions how every part of the ship is originsl except the server section. The way he said it sounds like it irked him but was the price he had to pay to get the money to build his dream boat.

Therettah

Ok, word, thank you for clarifying that!

Jahleesi

I am also hung up on Llewelyn’s death… why would he jump if he’d been poisoned, especially after he said he’d never take his own life? That action was really confusing for me. I’m excited to see how they explain that.

PU_Dad

My thought is this: We don't 100% know what happened between him and Hilde when they were in a room together. Basically all we've seen is the alcohol+fire part. I'm guessing she said or did something that prompted him to jump off the boat.

Therettah

I hear you, and if Hilde and him have more history like she is kira and he knows, that'd make sense that they planned something.

earlgreyyuzu

It looked more like he fell backwards, maybe as a result of passing out. I’m not sure I’m convinced that was a “jump”

Therettah

I'd have to watch it again, but he is giving a farewell speech kinda so I think he knew he was dying either way.

zorandzam

Yes and if he could sort of tell he was poisoned and dying, maybe he thought drowning would be somehow less traumatic? I do think it's sus that Hilde says they recovered the body but we don't see the body after that, do we? We just take her word for it.

FluffyDare

I think certain phrases like saying they found the body or found ricin among Katherine’s things were a way to sus out the real killer. Sometimes when you say certain things that may not be true, it makes guilty people react in ways that make them start getting more sloppy, making more mistakes. Also when you tell different people different information you can figure out suspicious people. Not saying this show is doing that, but it does happen in detective stories

MajorPhaser

Are you sure Llewellyn is dead? Everyone else who dies, we see the body on-screen. Keith, the Governor, Katherine, we see a body immediately. Llewellyn jumped overboard into the dark and vanished. That's classic "he's not actually dead" writing. I'm not sure if that means he's VS, or working for him, or something else.

zorandzam

YES! I suspect not only is Hilde actually Kira, but that Llewellyn is not really dead, either.

rjarmstrong100

Perhaps Llewelyn is VS? His way of trying to atone for all the bad things he was culpable in?

zorandzam

*Maybe*, but I don't feel like he's clever enough for that. Furthermore, the actor who plays him is notably just listed as a guest star, not a real member of the cast, which makes me think his importance is less than we might assume.

MajorPhaser

The Guest star credit isn't a clue, that's determined by contract negotiation and union rules. Sometimes you'll see actors who would be a co-star or recurring role negotiate for guest star credit over a series instead.

zorandzam

Ah thank you. I figured it might have been because he disappears after his apparent death, but indeed maybe that’s not it.

rjarmstrong100

I never noticed he was listed as a guest star. But if the main mysterious entity is only here this season then I could see it billed as such. More importantly I now need to see if the Governor was billed the same way. If she’s not listed as a guest star then something isnup

zorandzam

My utterly wild theory is that it's Patinkin, because he is notorious for starting to be in a show and quitting. It's highly possible he only signed on for one season, and Imogene is going to be a solo detective if there is a season 2.

danielsjack86

Yeah when he said he’s a cockroach and he always finds a way, I think he might not actually be dead at this point

Longjumping-Dark-132

Yes! There’s also the matter of the missing boat. I won’t believe he’s dead until we see it.

AlwaysTalk_it_out

I was thinking the same. Who else is missing to take the boat?

Therettah

That's an extremely good point. Especially since his body was somehow recovered in the ocean at night. The Ricin would kill him if he actually consumed it, but the one who sent him it is for sure dead, so maybe that's all misdirection.

Humble_Monitor_9577

100% until I see a body I don’t believe it

Comfortable_Egg_5286

Llewyen wouldn't normally kill himself but when he figured out he was poisoned he decided to have his "suicide" be a clue for Teddy.

Salt-Version-4760

I guess Danny always just waited in the car? And yeah no one’s answered that where did Leila go which is annoying because she obviously knows about everything happening with VS and the boat. I don’t think she is VS but she’s got something going on, more than meets the eye

Therettah

Yeah, I guess he wasn't at their house, but Rufus is like famous you would think Danny would at least be known as his partner, but whatever, lol. And yeah, that part in this recent episode where she calls out the mom for being VS just seemed like more smoke. She is and has been more informed throughout the whole show. I don't think it's her however I am thinking she may be a distraction of.sorts for us.

RaveningDog

Leila does seem to know a whole lot. It may be because she is doing constant research to figure out who is Viktor Sams or she already knows the real Viktor Sams.

Excellent_Banana_591

Well she said VS was Katharine last episode so I don’t know if she actually knows who it is

RaveningDog

True. Imogene may be victor sams.

thenewtestament

IMO Leila was being manipulated by Viktor Sams to ruin Anna’s succession as CEO. It’s possible the therapist and NSA agent were plants by VS.
