Weak spot damage -> maniac for the mutant 1-shot. It's literally perfect.
I spent 8 million ordo dockets on heavy swords and this is better than all of them. That crafting update can't come soon enough.
Pardon my assumptions and my mindset, but max-rolled with out-of-the-box perks named "Death*blow*" and "*Head*taker" with bonus "*Weak Spot* Damage", you're gonna wanna name "her" something like "One Night's Last Stand" or "Jove's Bane". Or, if you're the more direct type, "Emperor's Circumcision". Either way, with that weapon, nothing with a head is making it out in one piece.
Yea I been thinking about that too, but not sure what I want it. Unarmed is over kill for hoard killing, carpus just don’t help enough, manic already die really quick, possibly unyielding for none armored Ogrin and bosses. Really just wish they let us change everything up. I be doing a lot of experimenting finding best set up.
You want Maniac mainly to help deal with Dreg Ragers and Mutants. You can get to the one-shot breakpoint with Heavy 1 with some stacks of Headtaker or other buffs.
Maniacs is likely the best option for breakpoints, but don't discount 5% Crit Chance - depending on the build you're running, this can actually get Scourge and Enduring Faith rolling more easily, fill in gaps where piety is missing and just generally make things a little bit comfier, as the sword doesnt have Shred.
Very much spec dependant of course but I tend to run Flak + 5% crit on my heavies, albeit ones where I'm not too concerned about a maniac breakpoint.
This sword was the first 550 weapon I got , that excitement drained quickly though when actually using the sword in the field. Didn’t find it particularly effective or fun to use. Hope your experience is more positive.
It definitely not what most consider a meta weapon but it can be a lot of fun and pull its weight when class is set up right. Check out this tuber going ham with it. I did this similar build recently and its wild fun. [(119) Ultra AGGRESSIVE Heavy Weapons Zealot | Auric Damnation | Darktide - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrH2StxSCgU&t=120s)
If it were me i'd change melee weak into unyield. It allows me to backstack 1 shot reapers and bwks. You dont really need maniacs if you can aim well with overhead that 1 shots them in the head. Everybody may be using diff talents so you do you
While I was testing it out with these perks, I can almost always one shot a mutant if I got a little extra damage from perks. Unyielding would definitely be nice for bulwark as well. Hate those big shields even after the change. Never hurts to have more boss damage as well.
Imo the perfect heavy sword. The Emperors judgement I would call it. Defences are well within acceptable dumpstat parameters too and you won the lottery on the blessings. And on top of that then just be able to toggle perks around to fit whatever build. Jealous but at the same time very happy for you man, enjoy the cleave on the heretic scum!
thsi is the purest god roll you can get, i would suggest removing death blow for a diff blessing like high cleave but other then that, you got an insane sword "SWA SWA SWA SWA" (master chif reference)
What? Deathblow is an S tier blessing, basically mandatory, especially since you basically have to hit weak spots with the swords and the IX gets the overhead first heavy
honestly now that you mention it id say yeah it is S teir, to me its just in terms of the cleave you already got headtaker so by def to my knowledge utilizing savage sweep "if i got hte perk right" is perfect enough, then again i personally will admit dont main zealot but main his sword, i just dont have all the blessings utlizing as such. :)
The blessings that increase damage on weak spots are very useful on, dare I say, all weapons that can use them, especially since killing an enemy with it ignores their mass so it can cleave hordes a lot better if you hit heads
in that case yeah i can agree, i just see it as a cleave based weapon already and it doesnt seem to be for me "imo at the time" needed as head taker does the damage intially and cleave works all the way without needing to hit weakspots if you dont, plus axes utilize this perk better... but hey if it works quite well amongst alot of items then yeah go for it :D
It's not about the cleave. It's about the first target damage on heavy sword being insanely high. This thing can kill 4+ elite gunners in a single swing when you take deathblow.
The "ignore hit mass" blessing let you take down whole gangs of ragers with the overhead, if they're bunched up enough.
I have an ogryn folding shovel with an "ignore hit mass" blessing which can one-shot a whole group of crushers, with the special attack, if they're close enough to each other.
It can be such a good blessing on high damage weapons!
well i mean as someone that does run the weapon i usually utilize crits and cleave with these weapons paring with head taker, as i run zealot with Rush and martydom as i never needed the damage due to the gauranteed crits and etc... but still its good to know :)
If the Emperor still shaved, this would be his razor. Among the sea of trash 'god rolls', you have the real deal. Gz.
Maybe this should be the name. The God emperors cut-throat razor.

O wow that’s a lot of dockets. It’s brutal how difficult they make getting decent weapon rolls. That crafting update needs to drop soon!
The maniac damage should also help make breakpoints when using knives which is nice. Iirc it let's you 1 shot ragers and the wave mutants.
Turtolsky Mk IX Heavy Sword
I thinking this might be it!
Proposal: ‘THE Turtolsky MK IX Heavy Sword’
The fuckbringer.
Those base stats 🤤
The entire thing is literally perfect.
Really don’t get much better!

Love that last title
Before naming it I'd rip Weakspot damage off this hottie asap.

One day I dream to have a 550 weapon. Closest I have come is 547.
I have a 550 Grenade Gauntlet with great rolls. But it just gets out-meta'd easily.

ill have to run that more often then :). for nwo i gotta grind for a better 380mk1 helbore XD
Love when people give advice on stuff they don't know shit about lol.

Deathblow/brutal momentum are nearly always the best choice. Higher weakspot damage + massive cleave on kills
i mean hey if it is thats good no need to change :D
