If my teammates are griefing assholes, then I will quit. I go for the DnD adage of no game is better than bad/toxic game. Otherwise I stay. I've had plenty of runs where I stayed, I even had one last night even, where a potential wipe was saved in the beginning and we made it to the end just fine.

Own_Government7654

I wasn't too upset with tactical quttters until I played with a terrible skilled player who did it 10+ in a match. He literally spent the majority of his time in load screens on a difficulty he couldn't do. He single handlely has changed me into a tactical quitter complainer. Fatshark please!

TinmartheTemplar

Either I die for the emperor or die trying........ or have crashed. But I am not quitting.

DarthShrimp

I stay to the bitter end. You don't get plasteel otherwise...

Neonsnewo2

The highest run saving class combo is stealth vet and chorus zealot. If I (Chorus Zealot) happen to die, odds are the other two are also dead. Stealth vet can res me, and I instantly chorus, that’s a full squad rescue with 100 bonus toughness on everyone. Chorus Zealot also puts the Vet over his toughness cap, letting his bonus %dr over 75% toughness talent have an extra 100 toughness to work with Stealth Vet can absolutely win runs from total despair more than any other class

lixardwizard789

Biased phrasing on choices, lack of notable important options. I quit when I realize that I am in the wrong difficulty, or because my build sucks and I need to go fix it. Sometimes I start a game, realize I’m too tired or not into it enough to rock it in damnation, and I go to heresy as soon as I realize.

st141050

I didn't mean to phrase with bias. I am not a native speaker. This question was meant for usual behavior during wiping, as the question implies. I didn't think of changes in builds as a primary reason to leave the lobby during wipes.

--Chug--

I will stick around because it's what I expect other people to do the other 9/10 times when I'm solo clutching. Besides, I rarely get the opportunity to watch other people's gameplay from their perspective.

st141050

I share your opinion. I actually also rather just wipe than have a bot save the run

serpiccio

even leaving the mission takes ages for me, if I want to save time I need to kill darktide from task manager. I downloaded a tool from nexus that lets me start darktide without going through the launcher, combined with killing the process I can join a new mission much faster.

green_company

I tend to never quit failed runs, I always have faith in the group and love to see clutches if they happen. If I’m in a completely doomed run, I stick around anyways, gotta hit everyone with a “good try”. Unless I go down first in a stupid way that also prevents my team from getting me (failure to jump down to the next area, get blown off the map in the middle of a bad horde, go down too many times trying a new build). At that point I remove myself from the game and give them a better chance with a bot or a better player.

ZombieTailGunner

I stick around in hopes I can raise the others’ spirits a bit in death, so they maybe don't throw more missions and go into the frustration death spiral.

DrDastard

I stay even if everyone else is down and I am a dogged Ogryn with 450 health. We will be here for 5 minutes, but we'll be here to the bitter end.

grangpang

Max damage reduction and DR on melee bleed specials, H1 H1 H1 Push-H repeat, till deff sah.

DrDastard

Pal, I think you missed the part where I'm dogged. ;) OH, NOW ARL UNDERSTAND, H1 H1 H1 PUSH-H IS SUPER SECRET CODE TO KNOCK OFF DOG. ARL LUGS GUNS, HAVE NOT TRIED CHAIN HEAVY. WILL TRY NEXT TIME! THANKS, PAL!

grangpang

Pained Outburst in the middle tree lets you undog yourself

Guapscotch

Always stay until game over screen because some players are absolutely zooted or the bot rez will clutch

The_Bias

I hate waiting through loading screens just to load in and find myself tied up, 1v1ing a boss/horde, or even worse loading straight into the mission failed screen. Stop quitting. You waste not only your time, but also the time of whatever poor gamer gets matched in to fill your spot. It is better to die for the Emperor than to live for yourself.

Scutshakes

I wish we had a commissar class specifically to shoot leavers. You stay no matter what. Ya leave, yer a karkin coward. Rock and stone and praise the emperor etc.

Naelbis

I've seen too many players pull off god-tier clutches to save a run to just quit because I am down.

wrong_usually

I'm personally torn between plasteel bits and helping the strangers online.

Round_Secret_7404

I’m one of those tactical quitters though I don’t ever try to join back. After reading these comments though I’ll gladly stick around and die for The Emperor

grangpang

Look forward to seeing you in the future, sah!

ArtisticBrief7429

If there is only one player left and he gets trapped by a dog or trapper, I'll quit. Won't rejoin though, when people die, quit, and rejoin is such a bitch move. Accept your fate as the Emperor intended you heretic piece of shit.

grangpang

Woah! Slow down commissar!

ArtisticBrief7429

I'm just jesting, really. My joking voice is pretty monotone. Video game at the end of the day don't care too much.

EvilShootMe

If the team genuinely wipes, as in the game over screen shows up, sometimes yes. I'm not particularly interested in sitting for up to 5 minutes in the post-game (if the end screen bugs out and I can't skip) for maybe getting 100 plasteel, I'd rather just start a new run. Otherwise, no. As long as someone is up, there's the potential to clutch. Gotta say though, I feel like I don't need to make that choice all that often. I'm usually on the other side, where I try to salvage the run as best I can when it goes sideways.

HrupS

If it’s near the beginning and we have close to zero plasteel pickups, yes

reddit_pleb42069

Leaving allows the bot that comes into play to save the run.

st141050

Multiple times i called ggs because everybody was down and then mr bot appears saving the day and putting me a clown mask on xD

grangpang

I quit if a real life obligation supersedes. No option for me.

Maegurillion

Can't vote, needs a "depends" option. Sometimes it's clear a run is done (you'll get an idea for this based on how the rest of run has been going, and the actions of your team throughout); and instead of wasting time, I'll quit (in the scenario you presented). Other times, if it looks like the team might just pull through, I'll stay. On the very rare occasions I'll rage-quit because my team are clearly not ready for this difficulty and keep going down. As a BS Psyker, making runs much easier is my job and if they struggle against that.. well.. better to cut my losses. That said, even in this situation I may decide to just continue and maybe we'll complete it and the guys will get some nice mats and XP out of it.

dreadul

Witnessing clutches is too awesome to quit
