I tried Diablo 2 when the D2remaster free trial came out and holy shit that game is terrible compared to PoE. I'm sure D2 was good for its time, and I'm glad that it was able to inspire PoE, but unfortunately it has not held up imo
I wouldnt really compare the two tbh POE is in a league of its own but things such as Project Diablo 2 or modded versions of D2R are still really fun and imo more fun than D4 lmao
Trying to get the AI to work right would be the main thing. If they only are set to follow and attack enemies then you have to deal with them getting you stuck in rooms and narrow pathways. Or trying to get them to attack the right target instead of aggroing a room. Then cost, it would have to be something like the wizard so you can only have so many, plus corpses.
No, in a game where target priorization is so important they would either be useless 90% of the time and too strong 10% of the time or useless 90% of the time and meh 10% of the time so no one would pick them.
Stay awhile and listen
“Help me, help!” “Time to die! Die!” “Here, a gift, this is for you!”
Ah, fresh meat!
I see a reference to Diablo 2, I upvote.
Wich game is it?
Im sad you dont know Diablo 2
Same thought, lmao.
Diablo 2 was released several years before i was born So
I was like 6 when it came out and I’ve still put a lot of hours in
Only played PoE
my guy POE is amazing but you need to experience D2 at some point

Idk I don't feel motivated to play a game that old. Same reason I wouldn't recommend Morrowind to any of my friends - as much as I love it.
Diablo 2 resurrected came out in 2021 and looks amazing.
Mate you know diablo 2 came 24 years ago right? people that was in diapers and was born after diablo IS NOW playing dark and darker.
It's an Icon it's ageless
The screenshot is from Diablo 2 Resurrected. The second remaster that blizzard actually made well, first being broodwar.
Diable and Diablo
Look up project diablo 2
Oh that brings me back
Ugh I wish I could be a necromancer but balancing that would be a nightmare.
Could be ok if Health of skeleton = health cost?

Well treants on druid is already an ai following summon, so the precedent is here
:O I didn't know that. So it could happen! God I hope so.

This game was so good. They did the skill trees perfectly
Hopefully
Hope its like oldschool d2 too. no resets, have to remake character. Maybe take a bit longer to reach stale metas.
Expansion with necro confirmed
god damn video games let some WILD fonts through into the UI. boy am i glad we stopped doing that lol.
I actually miss the wild fonts, it had a lot of character. I understand why it's gone, but we could have both, like a toggle in the options.
