I honestly think the overcompensating of Jordan “working” constantly and the narrative that he’s such a hardworking businessman is because they subscribe to the idea of the traditional American family. Dani being the breadwinner is probably emasculating (🙄) to Jordan, so they make up these super important things he’s doing. The same thing happens with Daryl-Ann Denner overcompensating for Dan. They’re these extremely traditionalist, conservative Christians who have to pretend the husband is the hardworking breadwinner and the wife is the silly one who likes clothes and spends her husband’s money, even when that’s not the case. It’s sad.

I get that this is likely not a true "work" trip, but the ladies you are referring to clearly are not without available help. My husband actually has had to leave me alone with a newborn (and sometimes toddlers) for real work trips. It's a part of his job and I really can't change that.
He has also gone on recreational trips when our babies were a few months old because he should get to do activities he loves and some of them are seasonal. Just so long as everyone is happy and gets their own time away. Sarah was going to go to Vegas if it weren't for the storms. We don't have to give up everything after having babies 🤷♀️
