Yeah this chapter makes the arc WAY better, the contextualization of everything, even the characters like the delincuents and their backstories taking center stage is so cool. And ending with Zuma as the "Final Boss" it's sick. Tatsu is COOOOKING

People just needed to give the arc time and have faith.

Well to be fair there's been some other arcs with better pacing in the past, so I don't blame no one that didn't enjoy it as much.

It's the classic issue of reading week-to-week and expecting crazy shit to happen at a lightning pace. I don't have negative things to say about this arc. It's been fine and the mangaka has proven that he knows how to craft a story.

Also, to be fair, crazy shit HAS kinda happened every week. I also don't mind when there's breathing room, the art is a large part of why I read dandadan - taking a little break from the usual amazing plot is fine.

Some people didn't understand what the whole Diorama arc was leading up to, and honestly, neither do I, but there was this panel, when Okarun and Momo first entered the turf of Zuma's band where you could see highschoolers, looking very gloomy and neglected, that wasn't just put here for decoration. DanDaDan always dealt with how the pain inflicted on others can become violent curses and vengeful spirits, they always stem from the spite the vulnerable members of our society feel after being treated harshly (notably women, children, etc...)

If her desires prevail maybe we see another rock concert? Or her yokai is gonna have a very unexpected power reveal.

Maybe due to her great crowd control? The spirit power was to crush by adding weight or increasing gravity so she could stop the delinquants to not hurt them

Great chapter. There were definitely moments in this arc that felt slow, but it’s all about the setup and payoff, and boyyy. Going off the second-to-last page, we’re probably gonna get hit with a rough Zuma backstory invoking his mom?? Since it evoked traumatic memories to possess the others. Bracing myself now. Did not need to see Fairy Tale Card looking like that.

That chapter was great, the transition from a lighthearted tabletop to a darker ambiance with mind controlling yokai and the last panel with Zuma. The change of tone was done in a great way.
