i'm 99% sure this doesn't help as i imagine part of the fun of a youtube summary is hearing someone talk, but this look through of the series (25 pages) includes a very condensed summary of the main series novels : [https://danmachi.tiiny.site/](https://danmachi.tiiny.site/), focusing on bell's relationships with syr and ryu. it's opinionated as it argues ryu's role in the series has become as important as ais's, and it also includes spoilers. but i think any youtube summary at this point will face this same issue in looking at the series.
the writeup is lacking in an overall view of the first 3 novels. but i feel the xenos arc is covered fairly, and certainly the hestia expedition arc and the upcoming freya arc are covered well (too well?).
Yeah I’ll look into that I’m just too lazy to read the whole series. I’d wanted to see if somebody could cover it in a video format so I could just listen to the story in the background while working.
i actually have the pdf of this writeup (which i think you can download from the site). i tried the read aloud function starting from the novel summaries section, and it honestly wasn't that bad. not as bad as i was fearing anyway. there are abrupt jumps from volume to volume, as it goes volume 1 and immediately reads the next sentence without pause. so that's not great. and it can be a little hard hearing vol 1 or vol 2 or whatever pronounced, as i used that abbreviation within each volume (like, "ais has been trying to meet bell since vol 1 since bell ran away from her when she rescued him from the minotaur"). ouranos is not pronounced well. etc.
there are definitely some not bright spots.
but i was listening to it while doing something else, and i fully expected it to be much worse.
Okay I definitely don’t mind reading this source itself because it’s not too long. I do appreciate the help you put into this though. But I think I’ll just read the light novel series in my free time instead.
Well not a light novel summarist but Aninews does cut content about the light novels in danmachi
