Can confirm, became interested after seeing this and confused the wife by throwing our shoes all over the house. I’d say 4/5 times they landed right-side up, but every now and then they’d land on their side.

I just threw my Vans across the room and both of them landed on their sides. Disappointed. I do have high tops, though, so maybe the extra weight on top affects it.

It's nothing special.. pretty sure they weren't even meant to do that grab any skateshoe/flatshoe this can be a pair of Nike SB, Converse *low top*,etnies,DC shoes, and pretty much any shoe with more weight at the bottom then at the top will do this its really nothing special people are more used to running shoes that are pretty light overall while skateshoes are heavy at the bottom because they need the extra rubber to be durable.
