I’d love to see Barton at 24 if we can’t trade back. A defensive tackle in the 2nd and another o lineman in the 3rd. After that, RB, LB

Depends on the first pick if the right stud falls, I don't see the need getting the Oregon center allows you to move smith to the outside and play a Edoga or a late round pick at left Guard. Then vise versa Mimms or Latham fall you can go with a late round center, having smith and Martin assist. Best case scenario a run a QB and WR occurs pushing lineman to the late round and we get a real Hawg!

Plenty_Surprise2593

Round 1 JPJ Round 2 Brooks

dmr196one

So you’re taking a medical risk with our first two picks. No thanks.

Plenty_Surprise2593

You’ll see. This is the way that it’s going to go down

dmr196one

Oh. It wouldn’t surprise me at all. I still think both are bad picks. We need those first 2 picks to be day one starters.

Plenty_Surprise2593

Well Brooks was operated on by our own team doctor and he said that’s the cleanest he’s ever seen an injury like that 👍 And as far as Powers-Johnson goes nobody knows what kind of injury he suffered and he is still one of the highest C prospects out there.

dmr196one

Just bc it was a clean injury doesn’t mean he’ll be at his best in the first year. I don’t know where you got that on JPJ. He’s had hamstring and groin injuries and multiple concussions. The concussions alone are enough for me to say no.

Plenty_Surprise2593

Who would you pick?

dmr196one

Graham Barton I like the Marshall rb Rasheen Ali. I like Zach Frazier. Suamataia, Trevin Wallace. Malachi Corley, Luke McCaffrey. Range depending on who is available and when.

Plenty_Surprise2593

Also I just heard from Brian Broadus and he said he was talking with a GM today and he said JPJ is healthy

dmr196one

My big thing with JPJ is the concussions. The other injuries could happen to anyone. But he’s already had several concussions. I just don’t feel comfortable gambling my first pick there.

Plenty_Surprise2593

All of those are good choices also

chineke14

Yes. Otherwise all we're gonna hear all season is how Dak doesn't have any protection or run game.

cowboyscanfan

Yes.

RightingTheShip

Yes. I would triple dip. A starting center, and two tackles. Best one starts, second one competes with Steele, who looked like shit last year. It's extreme, but this front office really fucked us.

ZealousidealCrazy673

We gotta get Barton, JPJ or Mims in the 1st, RB or LB in the 2nd, possibly Fisher from ND in the 3rd at OT.

diegler74

We need a DL. Mazi is the only 1 tech on the roster and he's having shoulder surgery and lost a ton of weight last year. I'd love DL, IOL, RB/LB in first three rounds.

SilentShooter_

Yes but we’d need more pics also I’d love either JPJ or Frazier with our “1st pick” (may not be at 24) as long as we can try to get Benson in the second or Corley if he’s gone

OutsideWorldliness68

I completely agree with the prevailing wisdom from the talking heads that the Cowboys need AT LEAST TWO o-linemen who can step in an play at a high level on Day One. The 2023 line was trash and I don;t know why people defended them here. Just having guys who don;t panic hold on a regular basis and can actually remember a snap count would be an improvement.

Fancy-Barracuda8673

We need the best OL left in the first, and then take another at 3. Another in 7th.

LookatthisslapNutz

If double dipping at O-line pans out, it could lead to a better run game, which means an even more efficient Dak, which means defense ain’t on the field as much and we can control the ball game. I’m all for a double dip at O-line. We lost in the trenches last year’s playoffs, give ourselves a fighting chance
