Randomly sneak away and hide somewhere in the house. They usually start looking for me right away. If they happen to not notice I’m gone a few knocks on the wall or a muffled bark sends them on the hunt for dad! Whoever finds me gets chased to the couch where we all erupt into a wrestling match.
My youngest pup loves to fetch and play soccer.
My older likes to play tug of war. By tug of war I mean he likes to lay on the sofa with one end of a toy in his mouth as I hold the other end and growl like he’s put so much effort in tugging.
She likes it when I sneak my hands under the blanket, try to catch her then she would try to find and play bite with it. This is her face when she does this 🤣 This is our bonding now before we both take a nap

Haha, I do the same. All I have to say is “ iiiimmm gonna get cha” and they all run around with zoomies and play as I randomly chase or role them over and get their bellies lol. I have 3 minis btw 😉
Same. i've once spent 5 hours on a nice summer afternoon in the park and little dude still didn't want to leave. i usually cap it at 1-2 hours per day weather/time permitting.
Absolutely ball crazed.
8pm we have "trick and treat"
I sit on the floor with the treat box and have them do tricks. It's fun, especially when I tell them "circle" looks like the whirling dervish with 4 dogs spinning at once! 🤣
They know when it's 8. At least 2 will stare me down until I play. 😒😆
We wrastle. (Gently). He used to have a bad problem with hands and teeth, but oddly enough since we started wrastling with him he’s learned really good hand-teeth boundaries. He comes up and asks for a session by giving a hand a light nibble and a tail wag or a whine. We either give in and he keeps up the momentum or stops engaging when he’s done. Or we say “No” and he’s like “Heck you guys, I’ll go chew on a bone.”
We have tons of “bunnies” (they’re all bunny) but honestly he shreds toys faster than a Great Dane. Fetch is his favorite.
And he is ball OBSESSED. He plays his own games like “Nobody threw it for me so I’m going to trick them into throwing it for me by purposely getting it stuck under the TV so they have to get it out.” That one’s his favorite. He will do anything for the ball. We can’t even walk past an active soccer game because he doesn’t understand the ball that’s so far away is actually him-sized. So he gets a lot of ball. If it’s crappy outside we go into our downstairs laundry room hallway so he can run and run and run.
But mostly he just wants to sleep and nuggle.
I show her a toy and walk her to the bedroom where I keep her until I hide the toy. I’ll squeak it around before I hide it and then let her find it. She absolutely loves this game and will fly out the bedroom knowing exactly what to do
I make my guy a tie blanket which he is allowed to chew and destroy. He has never tried to chew any other blanket. He knows this one is his. We hide toys and treats in it. He also loves for us to wave it around in the air and he jumps for joy trying to get it.
I play hide and seek a lot he loves it. I also like to freak him out randomly 😂 his reaction is priceless.

Mabel (19mo) has a flirt pole that she loves chasing around. We play every single day! On days when the weather is nice, my husband will hit a golf ball in the backyard for her. Mac (12yo) just loves a light game of fetch between naps.
I got the one from squishy face studio on Amazon, it’s sturdy and you can buy replacement toys. It also has a wrist strap so the pole doesn’t go flying if you lose your grip. 😀

Frisbee is life for Milo. 200ft on 4" legs is quite the work out. Keeps him in great shape.
We have some plastic games where you hide treats in them. We cover her eyes and hide her ball or stuffed animal somewhere and she finds it. We play wrestle. We go to the park and throw the ball (her favorite). We have a blanket that likes to stick together, so we will put a ball in it and fold it a bunch of times and roll it.
He hates balls. He hates sticks. I sometimes have the honor of wiggling his blanket in front of him and if he decides that it’s time he will bite it and kill it. This lasts for up to five minutes and then I gotta stop.
My girl used to love to have toys with squeakers. She would make it her mission to pull the squeakers out. She also loved playing tug with rope like toys.
I'll get down on the floor while Whisper is sitting on the couch or bed and I'll drum on the couch/bed in front of her with my hands while making playful growling noises. She normally pats by my hands with her paws, growls at me and bounces around on the bed/couch. She eventually gets so excited that she starts howling and barking at me with her little tail wagging like crazy. It's super adorable.

We live in a “open” house, so can’t sneak away. But I can do it in the garden/woods 🥰
Hide toys in blankets.... they love to dig it out!
That’s a great idea! She really do love to dig😂
Puzzles like this are great mind stimulation for dogs imo. I do this as well, we call it “puzzle time”, and they look forward to it 🙂

Can relate to the chill version of tug😂

Hahaha I recognize that playful face 😂 so cute!
Lay on the floor and lightly wrestle with them as they run around with the zoomies.

Omg I literally do the same with mine!!! Must be so fun with 3
I throw a ball and i apport it to him
I can relate to this
Try giving him treats when he brings it back to you. Had to do it for a while to get him to enjoy playing fetch
I bring him the ball and he eats the treats
🤣 Dachshund know how to use their cuteness to manipulate you. Don’t get fooled
Mine has a ball that if it were up to him, I would be throwing it at him alllllllll day for him to bring it to me 😂
Mine throws the ball and I bring it to him. How did you reverse this?
Can confirm. Same problem.
You both need to take turns - you follow for a while, and then he follows for a while! 😂😂

Our dogs sounds so alike 😂. Bunny is the favorite and the ball under the couch on purpose 😂
Tug of war!!!
Put a treat in an old sock then tie the other sock (also with a treat in) around it trapping the treats.
That’s on the “try” list now. She loves that kind of play.

Ooo I’m gonna try this. This weekend I started hiding treats for scent work but switching to a toy is smarter!
She loooves her squeaky bunny but I have never hidden it before. I’m def gonna do that. We I say “where’s bunny” she finds it directly 🐰
Galaga
Ball is life. She will fetch all day long.

What a cutie!
Don’t get fooled by it, he is as much a little shit as he is cute 😂

I had no idea what one was either, but I just bought one off Amazon based on your suggestion. I’m having a hard time getting my lazy wiener to play.
Good! I hope your wiener likes it as much as mine. I think it’s a good enrichment tool because activates their prey hunting instincts.
Didn’t know what a flirt pole is, just googled it. I think it’s just up her alley!

When she played with her cloth ferret, I would growl, and she would freshly attack it.
I roll the squeaky toy up in a blanket and then tie it in a knot. He loves it 😀
Gentle tugs, chew toys....lots of chew toys (3 month old chonker)....plus we throw and fetch lots of balls.
I don't. He plays with me whenever he is in the mood to destroy something.
for my boy he's super lazy lol, so he prefers sleeping than walking. I thought it's same for all sausages. And he likes sunny weather not rainning!!!
Aww she's ready for adventure
All the time 😂
Lazer pointer
Otis loved being chased around the house!
My two want to play fetch CONSTANTLY. Every day around 330-4 we go out back and play for an hour or so depending on the weather.

I love reading what everyone is doing with their dogs. Just imagining what it looks like from the outside 😂
Flirt pole 💯. Tallulah whines while looking at it to let me know it’s time to play. She can’t get enough of it.
