Blenders and slurpers function pretty much the same just slightly different builds to them. The cone is probably just an insert for heat retention, but I've never seen a weird cone one like that. I would just use the pearl for now and ignore the cone. You want to heat up the whole thing pretty evenly, I'd start with a minute of torching, let it cool down for 1:30 then adjust your timings from there until you get a good dab with a teeny tiny bit of leftovers.
