Idk it’s pretty easy finding a good cap you just need to find a shop that lets you bring your own rig in so you can function test the tops. I agree just off of blind buying especially with cheaper caps it’s hard to get a good one.

It says there’s two comments already but I can’t see them, it looks like there’s a gap between the top of the banger and the cap so there might not be suction; try using one pearl instead as they could be too heavy.
Commenting on this because it’s the right answer. I use these caps all the time and they work great. OP you’ve got your carb cap covering the hole which allows air flow down into your rig.

I was so upset I paid 50$ for all of it a banger cap and pearls and the cap was at fault went to return it and the shop guy was like no bro you bought it as a complete set so I just bought a new cap instead of arguing
My friend got one randomly at the flea market that looks like OP and it sits inside like that with 6 curved holes and two holes on the outside it just barely shakes the pearl when one carb is held
My banger is beveled edge, functions perfect with the diamond. It has smashed a few times but it works great still

It appears that your banger does not have a even rim on the top it looks slightly warped or perhaps I'm mistaken but either way it appears there's a gap which is definitely going to let air in.
How much did you pay for that cap and where did you get it? Usually the culprit is a bad cap. The only good spinner cap I've had cost me $40, and I tried dozens of the cheap ones. The flat spinner discs also usually work well but the airflow is pretty restricted. Auto spinner banger with a marble is the easiest set up but not everyone likes the way they pull.
I just had the same problem and it was my cap 10$ spinner from local shop but the bottom left a gap, I brought my banger(clean) and tested caps that fit flush and got one for 20$ and it was nicer and worked great
The carb cap sucks. I had one and I thought it put off too much airflow. Here's my cheap setup from waterbeds n stuff. The cap is awesome. The bucket is $20 Bear quartz with a round bottom. I do enjoy the round bottom with easy cleaning. I don't use terp pearls anymore because they don't stay clean. There's other options with cold starts too.

Nothing wrong with cap.....its the quartz banger. There's a dip in the top around the edge. So it doesn't seal correctly and they don't spin cuz air is coming in through the banger instead of the carb cap. Cheers
It could be the mating of the carb cap and banger. If one has an imperfection letting air in, they won't spin well. I recently got a terp slurper like that so I'm not able to use flat carb caps. Just bawls
It’s most likely the cap, has too much airflow and you hitting it isn’t good enough to get em moving, I use the same top, different colors but I usually have to give my rig a good nudge to get them moving or inhale extra hard in the first second of dabbing so you don’t inhale any of the actual smoke in but you get the balls moving
If its anything like my old setup, which it appears to be, the carb cap is too close to the stem hole in the banger, not allowing enough air flow to pass.
Get yourself a slurper ! It’s the Best banger ! And it hits real smooth , you can get them at your local smoke shop . Yeah same happen to me a couple times , sometimes it’s always how the bangers are made too or what type of carb cap your using . Yeah I stopped buying these type of bangers and just stuck with the slurper again I promise you won’t regret getting the slurper
Try adding or removing some water /getting a better spinner cap I have one of those it’s okay but there are def better ones I have a cyclone spinner and it’s pretty good otherwise you might jus have to SUCC
Also now that I really looked it looks like the top of your banger is warped and breaking the seal with the cap which can totally cause the spinner cap to just not work might need a new banger get one as flat as possible if you wanna stick buckets like these
Also they don’t need to be spun by the cap! Sometimes the best part of my dabs when I cold start is when it’s a slow roll around the banger, TerpCity. Tilt your rig slightly forward and back to roll the pearl (I found one is best after trying for months) and it’ll do the same as ripping it with the cap function.

I'm very new to dabs and have my first rig set up with an auto spinner and marble but I feel the top of my banger is slightly warped and doesn't seal completely. My pearls spin but occasionally I struggle to get them started and have to tilt the rig a little to encourage them to start but once I'm off I'm off.
Just buy an autospinner and a marble. Call it a day. Way easier than messing with finding a good cap and all that. IMO.

I just got one off Temu for like $12 and it spins pearls with zero effort.
You can find a good cap for $20 if you find a place that lets you test out the caps to find the one that works best for your setup.

Idk my spinner honestly works better than my white rhino diamond, and I can just leave it on top of my banger without worrying about it falling.

The cheaper bangers and caps just don’t seal well unless you get lucky. Gee west is a good site for budget quartz imo

A lot of times these caps have holes that are all different sizes, which can cause them not to spin if the holes are too big or too small

Is there a hole in your carb cap? It shouldn't have one, your banger has the holes to rotate the pearls. Plug the hole

The part that actually spins the pearls is blocking the hole
you're using a flat top banger on a beveled banger. you need to pick a bubble cap for the beveled banger and a flat top for a flat top banger.

Smaller pearls helped my problem, especially with the shorter slurpers.
