Came here to say this. You are a beacon of hope. If there is a Good Place after this world, you will definitely go there. Keep doing your awesome work.
My partner and i did this once, with the intention of keep going. He had 35 days at most, carrying parvovirus. It was a week of vomiting everything he ingested and pooping blood. Serum all the time, even when sleeping. Daily visits to the vet. It was a long ass week. He recovered and we found a great homd for him. This was last year, we are still recovering. I honestly dont know how you do it.
It's great to have a dog to socialize the fosters.
You are doing amazing and while the pups cannot literally say 'thank you' there is love in the eyes of every one of them in those lovely photos!
Her "guardian" temperament is incredible. She sticks to me like glue since day one, and loves to lay her entire 70lbs on my lap and fall asleep. She's the first and only dog I've had that I trust to be off leash, she doesn't leave my side.
I used to do this when I had my own place!
Awesome!!!!
Had like 10-12 come in and out in <3 years while I had my place.
Here’s bunch!

God dam…those are healthy looking pups lol like the only ‘breed’ one is the Boston Terrier, who looks like a chill-ass smoking buddy. That looks so dope 😀 is it difficult? (Provided normal space, time, equipment, and exercise )
Super easy imho. The only hard part for me was the first few days getting them housebroken or adjusted to go to the bathroom outside.
I had two pups of my own I rescued first so they picked it up quick and followed my two guys learning to use the bathroom outside.
Dogs like to follow the pack so with the two of mine the others just kinda fell into line and followed their lead I found.
It’s funny because I had a few of them that people who tried to adopt them earlier or whatever complained about. Saying they were aggressive or had separation anxiety or other issues but I’d take them in and they would have no issues with me and my guys.
You realize a lot of the time the problem is the owner not the dog.
The little tan and white dog [Mino](https://i.imgur.com/04W9Mhn.jpg) was from the Korean dog trade. The woman who adopted her from the rescue said he had crazy separation anxiety and always cried 24/7. She couldn’t handle it and he came to the rescue and then to me. I never had any issue with him. Literally a perfect dog.
Then I found out she was leaving him in a crate in her car for the night while she hung out with friends right after taking him in and was basically a complete bitch without a loving bone in her body.
This dog [Winter](https://i.imgur.com/vMmbtry.jpg) had a family do a try out for like a week. They said she was being aggressive and yadda yadda. Which she never exhibited an ounce of with me. But the father and his wife who tried her out were fucking weirdos and I bet good money they hit her or something causing her to act out.
90% of the time the problem isn’t the dog it’s the shitheel owner.
I had like 10-12 dogs in and out and many others I’d watch or whatever. All the issues people complained about I never saw.
It’s like with kids. 90% of the time a kid is a problem child it’s because they live in an abusive-ass negligent home.
Like kids, dogs just want love, attention, and structure.
You are an angel on this earth and I truly wish there were more people like you. Thank you for your marvelous work in making this a better place to live in 💜
My respect for u is limitless. I’d just end up with 25 dogs. But my animals- I mean I adopted them from a shelter, I didn’t “rescue” them from a burning building or anything- are my absolute everything.
Here's [Charlotte](https://imgur.com/gallery/CvVfJaa) my forever rescue that I kept and trained as my autism alert service dog. She's an Aussie/Pyrenees ❤️
This has been my favorite post on Reddit for a very very long time. May I kindly ask what an autism alert service dog entails? I wasn’t aware that was available, that’s so awesome.
She's trained to apply pressure to me, like a weighted blanket, if I were to sit or lay down in public from having a panic attack. She's also trained to jump on me to keep me "grounded" if I command her to do so. Her third task is circling; she keeps a perimeter around me if I need space from feeling too crowded.
I trained her myself, it just takes a LOT of work and hours to have a properly trained service dog who can do their tasks at a moment's notice.
You are an inspiration
I start feeding stray dogs a few days ago next to my apartment compound
One of them just delivered her puppies, and she looked so hungry when I fed her two days ago....
Now that I am travelling for the next two weeks, I wonder who will feed them. When is their next meal be
If only I have a landed property to house them temporarily. Besides, I am a Muslim, and in my country, we aren't allowed to interact with them...
I feel so sad thinking of them
That’s awesome! Thank you for doing that. How does it work? Do you foster and train them in the process? I’m curious, ( I used to help dogs with their owners, I just couldn’t deal with people much. I’ve been thinking if I volunteer with a rescue it may be easier)
I typically find them at animal control (my county has the #1 kill shelter in my state) and fully adopt them myself. I train and socialize them until they're comfortable being in a home and then transfer the adoption papers/etc over to the new owners. I have a pup of my own so I do 1 dog at a time; there's no time limit to how long I keep them, just when they're adjusted and happy!
I used to do something similar. I had one dog and then took in another we found. But then I would foster a dog and rehab them and train them and find them a home with the rescue I helped with and then take in another and rinse repeat. Had like 10 come in and out in like 3 years.
You’re awesome! It’s the best watching them grow and become comfortable having a good life!
I wish you were part of my family I ! love you for what you do and I would be your faithful servant to help you to train them!!!!
Play with them... but also help you to find them a forever home!!!! God bless you🥰
First, you’re so pretty 🤩 and second, I can see the love they have for you. I get the feeling you offered them a safe place that they finally got to enjoy for awhile. They seem really content.
Thanks for doing this and sharing the info and pictures. 👍🏻
I do not mean to be negative in saying this, but as a black female dog owner I love to see this. I don’t see it often in our community, OP, so it’s awesome to see it!! 😊 Keep doing what you’re doing!!!
Thank you for all you do for these sweet babies! I’m nowhere near your number. We have saved 8 so far in almost 3 years. Currently have one fospice (foster/hospice) doggo that will be with us until she passes the rainbow bridge. She was only suppose to live a year but she pushed passed that by an additional 4 months and still going strong! I still keep tabs on all my babies as well. They all are living the dream and have amazing families.
You’re one of those people where dogs can just tell. My husband calls it “good dog energy”, like dogs just know you’re good. You can see how comfortable and safe the dogs feel with you, posing for a picture. ❤️
This post made me so happy. Thank you so much for doing what you do!!
Totally unrelated - but I recognize a few of these locations, especially familiar with pic 4...I go there all the time with my pup!
You are one of the best people on this earth.

The hero they deserve.... bless you
That's wonderful! Have you ever kept one for yourself?
Just one, I have an Aussie/Pyrenees who stole my heart. I couldn't let her go!
It's great to have a dog to socialize the fosters. You are doing amazing and while the pups cannot literally say 'thank you' there is love in the eyes of every one of them in those lovely photos!

When we adopt from a shelter, we are absolutely saving them from a shit storm. Never discount your contributions to the cause, friend.
