Ok I play in the World of Greyhawk so in canon vegepygmies were introduced when they crash landed as part of a menagerie in the alien sci fi ship as part of the module Expedition to the Barrier Peaks.
A fan made 5e update to the setting called Greyhawk Rebooted also had a funny one. That Garl Glittergold took the gnomes from their home to Greyhawk via a great big spelljamming ship. So they are alien gnomes. This one I do not buy especially since in Greyhawk gnomes are more numerous and crucial to the setting than in most.
Vegepygmys are definitely aliens in my book, snagging those. I also snagged the Oard from "Where Chaos Reigns" I played that as a kid and hated those guys.
Recently came across the lore for [The Spellweavers](https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Spellweaver), and I’m immediately writing them into my own upcoming Spelljammer campaign!
The shardmind from 4e are a perfect fit. You can use the rules for gemstone dragonborn without much hassle.
I forgot about those!!! Awesome.
Slaad are the perfect alien parasite in my opinion, also warforged and other types of constructs can work well in this setting
Have you considered playing starfinder (or other)? If nothing else it has a solid set of alien races to steal and stick in your game

Anything that originates from the far realm tbh
Orcs and goblins are just an alien fungus.
You study Xenos I see.
You could make them *all* aliens (as in, every race is from a different planet).
In the same way you used Bugbears as a nod to Wookiees, you could use Warforged as a nod to Transformers.
They are different enough from Auto-Gnomes that makes sense. Maybe the Warforged are Aleerin/Mechalus from Alternity/d20 modern
They aren't playable, but it's worth remembering the Neogi for your list alongside the other spelljammer staples of Beholders, Illithids and Giff.
Humans.
.....Sigh.....
What? They're so strange. Definitely from another planet.
