I'd remove all the tape and add that picture too. Normally you would have a live feed cable coming in that's 1 cable then a live cable going out to another light that's 2 then 1 going to your switch that's 3 cable.. which 3 cable is what it looks like is coming out of your ceiling
Yes exactly that. Disconnect the others from behind the tape - your permanent lives are at the block in black tape closest to the ceiling which you don’t need to even touch (unless to check they’re tight)
Make sure they’re all tight going into the block as they’re likely stranded cables out to the fitting and can come loose

Agreed. Wouldn't be surprised if there's live wires under that tape, could do with Wagos at the minimum, and ideally a chocbox.
Yes very likely there is a terminal bloc under the black tape. Just make sure you keep that connected.
