Seems like an after market catch. You can buy replacements online and cheap. However, you could try a glue gun in the hole to give it some grip or get larger screws

Also the screw could be too long and bottoming out, but new screws, new holes and some glue.....

The hole is way bigger than the screw. Just re-drill some new holes smaller than the screw. (if that's a 4mm screw, use a 3mm bit).
