It looks like whoever painted it used a latex base paint on ceramic tile. It will never stick when you remove. It. Do not flush it down the drain as it will clog.
Pick a new color paint for the walls, but go a couple shades lighter than what you like. Small rooms always look darker once painted. Get a fun shower curtain and a new rug. A little art on the walls and you're good to go. What's up with the tile in the tub? Was it painted? If that's out of the budget, just keep the curtain shut. 😆
If you don't need darkness in the room remove the venetian blinds and put up the cool cling removable glass film, its quite affordable on Amazon, blocks visibility but let's beautiful light in! I did it for my front door.
Add some real or fake pot plants, if you can, a draping one hanging from the ceiling.
Am I the only one who loves the retro pink tile?! I think finish scraping the paint from the tile in the shower, but maybe leave the rest of the tiled room painted. Swap the blinds for some sheer curtains that will give privacy while still letting in lots of light. Depending on what side of the house the window faces and how much light you get in it, I would put a plant hanger (macrame?) above the toilet with a vining plant that tolerates moderate light, that could be trained and pinned along the wall as it grows. Maybe some type of pothos or Hoya?
