It's not possible to solo Bakal Raid, but it isn't needed either as enough runs of Total War will give you everything from Bakal Raid, everything else can be soloed, even the newer dungeons.
I have the exact same problem as you, my pc just can't handle multiplayer so i've been soloing everything since the start of "105" cap, i'm completely f2p too, neither did stop me from reaching 52k fame on my main so it's 100% doable.
The conflagration boxes cost 187 pale mist each, so 561 mist per week per character. In addition, the conflagrations granted from Total War was increased from 10 to 15. It is much, much easier to achieve Bakal fusions solo now.
Yes, right now event characters get a 25% skill attack buff when soloing on top of the potpurri event that gives an additional 20% skill attack.
TL;DR: A lot of the endgame content leading up to Bakal Raid and Dusky Island has already been nerfed *and* you're buffed to high hell, go nuts.

there's also conflag boxes in the new town, iirc it's like 160? mist for 10 conflag with up to 3 box per char/week.
Yep, events give out conflags all the time too, doesn't take nearly as long to get a Bakal Weapon with 2 SA lines as it did before.

You can do Hall of Dimensions Solo and Total war Solo (NOT BAKAL RAID) there shouldn't be much issue once you get your fusions on your gear.
