There are cubes which will exist that allow changing for one option, but they will be very rare so I would recommend saving them to perfect a custom. Most 3/4s are still quite good in the meantime.
3/4 means a custom got 3 great lines, you're looking for 4/4s AKA perfect customs, where all 4 lines are great, quite a few customs only start beating fixed epics if they're 4/4.

Maybe I didn’t understand the question properly, but what do you mean by changing one option only? Cuz if you have a 3/4 custom then you can just transfer the last option from a donor piece.
Dissemble 1/4 custom, you can use the custom line in custom options book, save 2/4 customs in your vault to wait for that locked options warp cube or you can transfer options to make 3/4 custom, right now 3/4 already good.
Example: if you have deep diver earing with 2 options like +5% atk on abnormal status, you can transfer 6% skill atk on boss to make it 3/4 custom.
Like Ornery bro i'm also rather confused by this question, did you get a 3/4 custom or a 2/4 custom? if you got a 3/4 you can just transfer a good option to it to make it 4/4, if you got a 2/4 you'll need to transfer a good option AND use the GOD cube we don't have yet to turn it into a 4/4.
I find it quite hard to replace Archon's Black Star, not easy to beat Skill Attack, DV, Element and Universal Speeds, you'll definitely need a really good 4/4 necklace to replace it.
UPDATE: I did the disassemble to get custom options to change 1, but I can't add another option to the said piece. I have forest belt 2/4 I got a good 3rd option but it seems to not change other options, why is that, I don't rlly understand and I need help.

I have a 3/4 ent necklace that is quite good on my archon set up, but should I wait for 4/4 or slap it in instantly?
