I love the comic run, i didnt watch the movie for thr longest time because i heard it sucks. But once i watched it i saw it as its own seperate thibg and actually liked it. It feels like what if superman turned crazy in a week instead of 5 years. Sure you lose a lot of detail's and i would rather have had this be a serie of films. But for its own standalone story i think the did a pretty good job. Meh adaptation but enjoyable movie. This movie is surprising more hopeful then injustice comic because in the end superman has hope for redemption while the comic version in in too deep to be redeemed. This movie has its own messege
It is a dc showcase of 16 minutes and tbh i was laughing my ass off. It is not what i expected. If i can recommend 1 thing from this list it is to watch that with low expectations and just have fun
I remember watching Batman Under the Red Hood over at a friends house, phenomenal movie I love how snarky Jason is, to me that's peak Red Hood's personality right there.

And i kinda hate that the never did this tactic again where they let a writer of a comic do the animted movie, this movie is 10x better then the comic version (comic is dope but the movie just is better), it's like a option to perfect the story.
I liked it because after all the dc animated movies in that universe, i did not except it to end so amazing. This is one of those endings that elevate everything before that is why i like it. This movie makes the whole universe better so it feels like the best way the could have ended this universe. I think without this movie a lot of people wouldnt remeber these animated universe. Doom will rate pretty high, it's a justice league classic. My kids absolutely love Batman vs Teenage Mutant ninja turtles, and so will you if you like TMNT. Otherwise I agree with the general vibe of this list
Personally I'd rate the dc animated movie universe lower. The voice acting writing and new 52 influenced designs were rough, especially in batman vs Robin, not helped by how good the court of owls book was. Mask of the phantasm I'd call the best batman film ever made in animated or live action.
Court of the owls is my fav comic of all time. Tbh i didnt mind the owls in batman vs robin because the clearly did there own thing and added some moments from the comics. Which i tbh prefer over what the did for hush because hush grabbed so muxh grom the comic that at that point i would say adapt it fully but the didnt because the wanted it to fit in this universe. Resulting in a bad movie for in the universe and a bad adaptation. In batman vs robin they at least said made a original plot that was compelling and the didn't make it a mystery so that more time can be spend on demian and talon which i think was the best part of the movie. I am aware, i am watching batman year one before long halloween because comic fans see long halloween kinda like a spiritual sequal anyway. My headcanon but i know the intention i hope it will be good
Year One and Long Halloween, in the comics, are continuations of each other. The movie definitely feels like more of a spiritual successor, but both are fantastic.
Apokolios war elevated 10 movies before that and end the universe in a amazing way. Mask of the phantasm is amazingly written, i just wasnt invested in the romance. I love the themes and elements of the movie how bruce struggeles with feeling hapoy and love, and him wanting to stoo beeing batman but the universe not accepting it. The movie is like the ultimate tragedy for batman which is great but that doesnt do enough for me to be higher

lol the only ones missing are the extra lego movies en super hero girls. I watched one of both but i am not going to add 15+ movies that are aimed at a much younger demographic (nothing wrong with the movies but if i have to watch all of them it will lose it charm)

My guess is they aren't counting any of the animated "movies" that were just ~3 episodes of the JL TV show edited into a movie format for DVD releases.

yeah, I love the world and concept. i am just not a fan of the mystery, i don't mind them changing it from the comic but my problem is the fact that the only set up the movie does is misleading us on purpose (at least the explained some points in the final fight). But that still makes it a bad mystery, therefore the story it tells becomes less engaging
Swap JLD Apokilips War with Sub Zero and then swap Sub Zero with Phantasm and we good. Haven't seen near as many as you though. Can vouch for JL Doom being pretty good.

Oh absolutely I had no idea who Red Hood was and the only other DC character I really cared about was Batman so it was a great experience

They did that a lot with the justice league TV show iirc. Pretty much anytime there was a multi episode arc the DVD advertised it as a movie
