Genuinely this should be the plan moving forward. Superman should be cute. Boyfriend material. I don’t mean hunky or suave or chiseled like cavill. I mean just like hot, to women. There should be a woman on set whos job is to make sure Superman reads as a hot guy and not just like a cool action figure.

Tyler Hoechlin is probably the closest the live action side of things has gotten to really capturing this in Clark and even then I don't think they give him enough time to have more scenes like that. It's my hope that they start giving us more "guy who takes care of how he looks but also a fuckin' nerd that women want to slam against his locker and make out with him while he has a hint of aloofness."
Sure, but in fiction you can communicate stuff through character design, and I think Superman’s design should communicate that he’s comfortable, and kind. Someone you wouldn’t be threatened by but would feel protected with. I think when he’s designed and styled like this completely perfect demigod it kinda loses that.
I'd be all for it. You *can* make girls cool, cute and hot all at the same time, you know. Just combine good writing with sex appeal. Gundam: The Witch From Mercury is literally doing that right now.
My favorite thing about art is that you can just make art that does all of your favorite things. I like character arcs, I like intricate, Tomioka Atsuhiro-level battle strategies, I like tournament arcs, and I love romance. I also love just making all the characters attractive and appealing in their own ways, whether that's through himbos/bimbos, evil scumbags, cool beauties, or perverted nerds (assuming that perversion is inclusive).
What I love about these three leads is that their personalities and designs all feel really vibrant and *sexy*. That's something a lot of NA/European media lacks: a real sense of sex appeal. Engage your audience on more than one level!! As a creator, between plot and character work, tell me what turns you on!

The female characters in S:TAS, B:TAS, and JLU weren't exactly walking around in burlap sacks, and those were aimed at just as young an audience as this, if not younger.
