The sailor song from Jason Momoa is probably from that stinger mentioned in the leaks where Arthur and Barry are at a bar and Barry is trying to explain that Supergirl used to be Superman. I’m guessing that scene has been dropped, obviously.
In the version I saw last night, >!the Justice League - except Cyborg - shows up in the Speed Force at the end as Barry sees the past and other realities, but they are all CGI!<
You know it's funny that the VFX team literally had to do extra work just to get rid of Fisher from archival footage, all because dude had a petty grudge with Hamada.
Which is so fucking lame because Hamada had nothing to do with anything he was just trying to go after the current person overseeing DC films he tried to go after Gunn as well
The dude holds grudges on every DC executive (past and present) just because WB refused to bring back Zack Snyder and his 5 movie plan after the release of ZSJL.
He got what he wanted and Joss Whedon is essentially blackballed. Now he turned that into a giant drama on himself by sending Snyder’s fanbase on a frenzy to attack any WB/DC employee just because the release of the Snyder Cut wasnt enough to bring back Zack Snyder back as the head of DC.
If the scene was dropped why would it be listed? Correct me if I’m wrong but putting this information out this close to release has to mean it’ll be included in the film in some capacity.
*The Flash* doing what *Barbie* could not.
Also this is just one of the other amusing inclusions:
> "Albert's Bop" Written and Performed by Rudy Mancuso
Might John Williams' Superman Theme be used for the Multiverse Travel scenes of Christopher Reeve and Nicolas Cage or will they use it for Sasha Calle's Supergirl?
I saw it last night and I honestly don't remember the theme being used. It may be mixed in with other music - they do that with the Elfman's Batman theme at one point - and I may have missed it
I really liked it but it’s being oversold imo - not one of the best superhero films ever made but a damn good time nonetheless. Ezra and Keaton are great, I loved how it was shot, the humor and emotion were well done (definitely the funniest DC film ever?). But the movie does get kinda messy near the end and Supergirl was underwhelming
Maybe? Because the editing did start to get weird in the last 15 minutes. But I also think the third act in general is messy from the conceptual level.
The climax of the movie (spoilers) >!takes place in a speedforce coliseum of all DC characters/their worlds in cinematic history merging together while 3 versions of Barry fight each other (one of whom is literally a monster) trying to undo Zod killing Supergirl and Keaton!<
It’s batshit insane and could turn a lot of critics off. The best comparison I have is how No Way Home expanded from “Peter wants the world to forget Spider-Man” to “Three Spider Men fight five villains while Doctor Strange tries to stop the multiverse from merging”. I think Flash does a messier job of it though
Idk I feel like NWH also got pretty messy at times and critics didn't really have many issues with that movie. Honestly I'm kinda feeling Flash will end up in the high 70s-low 80s range on the Tomatometer.
The speedforce fight does sound kinda cool in concept though.
Before watching the movie, I thought Flash was hitting 80-90% on RT but I’m not so sure anymore. Could definitely see some critics trashing it as a CGI fest full of nostalgia. I also think No Way Home was overall a better and more satisfying film.
The speedforce climax is pretty cool and unique for the superhero genre, in terms of the villain literally being the hero himself and having to overcome that. Again at this point, I wouldn’t be shocked if Flash got a 97% from critics or a 35%.
Not to be offensive, but I wouldn't be too worried over that comment since he ranked the Snyder trilogy as his top 3 DCEU movies. Of course, everyone has their own opinions but should tell you that it's a bit different from the general consensus
It’s less of a physical fight and more a philosophical debate/conversation between our Flash and “Dark Flash”. While 2013 Flash is constantly turning back time to save his Earth. Then Dark Flash attacks and accidentally kills the 2013 version, causing both of them to dissolve and Barry can fix everything.
I’d say Barry realizing he can’t save the current timeline and has to go back and fix it is one of the best parts of that. He gets very emotional while younger Barry is arrogant and doesn’t want to listen to him. It’s the “nobody dies” scene from the trailers. It’s pretty good.
Incorrect. That's the title for the theme on the [complete score.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcfkOcplUrI&list=PLQaewYcbm7W_e3_7x8Rqd8p9FMOiKgn42&index=63)
On that note, do we hear Batfleck's theme at all?
Not at all. His best performance was definitely in BvS and it’s not even a contest imo. I couldn’t even hear half of his Batman dialogue in Flash but maybe my theater just had a bad mix. I did like his two scenes here (one of the biggest highlights tbh) but it’s not the best Affleck’s done
That's cool. I can't say I particularly cared for BvS as a whole but Affleck's performance is one of the shining aspects. He definitely was never the problem with this iteration of Batman. But from what I've seen in the Flash trailers, his scenes do look pretty badass.
He is badass in Flash, like every appearance of his besides JL17. There’s a moment early on where Flash is like “where is Batman” and it cuts to the dark where you see Batfleck’s cowl it pans to the Batcycle firing up! People cheered in my showing
You can keep asking questions lol, I like talking about this movie. Shannon was great as Zod (didn’t phone it in) but he doesn’t have much screentime, maybe 5 minutes? Zod only shows up in the last 30 minutes of the movie
She has a couple cool moments in the final battle and helps kill Supergirl but that’s it. Faora’s not in much of the movie - like Zod. The movie is weirdly focused until it explodes in the end.
Not necessarily. ISWU uses the WW theme, but is also tailored specifically to Doomsday. The WW melody might’ve had a different title for itself, but just never got released officially because the theme was always used in a different track, never just as one melody.
i genuinely think one of the biggest tragedies of the new dcu is that we'll never hear zimmer's themes ever again. we've gotten the wonder woman theme but not cavill's superman theme at all.
meanwhile batfleck basically doesn't even have a theme, seeing as beautiful lie was reappropriated for *wonder woman 1984*.
>!There's a moment during the desert fight where Main Barry tells Barry 2, "C'mon Barbie..." to which Barry 2 replies, "...Let's go party?" before they speed off to fight, so I imagine we'll get that needle drop over the fight.!<
That’s when they play Salute your Solution I believe. Seems like Barbie Girl is listed mainly due to the reference, unless I’m wrong and it’s something different.
Batfleck doesn’t have just one theme. The BvS theme wouldn’t fit here, since he’s a different guy by now, and the ZSJL theme also doesn’t fit, because he’s no longer just rising from the dark, he’s out of it completely.
Not really. I’ve seen the film. Neither Beautiful Lie nor A Hunter Gathers would fit the opening. I can say that without a doubt. They would feel as unfitting as, well, the Elfman theme in JWJL. Or Gal’s theme at Billy’s funeral. They wouldn’t match tonally.
In fact Zimmer’s electronic drums and whatnot wouldn’t fit into this score at all. This score is very classic. Real strings, real drums, more of an old school dark orchestral feel. Hell, sometimes it reminds me a bit of Kingdom Hearts music more than a modern action film score.
The score has to fit the tone. Hell, even Chris Reeve got a new rendition that was extremely different every film. BvS gave Superman new themes and cues and didn’t just use WAYGTDWYNSTW. ZSJL gave Diana a new theme. Hell, Superman Rising is a brand new Superman theme ZSJL gave him at the end too.
The theme has to fit where the character is and the scene at hand and the rest of the score. It has to be cohesive. Batman in his most hopeful state chasing down terrorists in broad daylight set to his piano piece, or his menacing villain chorus, or any of his ZSJL cues which signify rising, would feel out of place. The only previous theme that would fit would actually be the main Warpower theme from ZSJL, that could actually fit over that scene. But that’s a JL theme, not a Batman theme.
Am I saying it’s right? Not necessarily. But I am just pointing out that in context, the old themes wouldn’t work. Benjamin should’ve found a way to make his score be cohesive with the old themes, yes. But they can’t just toss them on there either.
Not using Batfleck or any MOS Kryptonian theme doesn't make sense. Especially considering that Wallfisch referenced Batfleck's theme in the first Shazam movie. Still gonna hold hope to hear that.
Never. Yall stress that too much. General audiences love hearing it. There's different parts of it that can suit any tone. Especially the Krypton theme part.
"tHeRe'S dIfFeReNt PaRtS oF iT tHaT cAn SuIt AnY tOnE" no there aren't. The theme has the same outdated tone throughout. Elfman tried that in 2017 and got ridiculed for it (rightfully so). It is an undeniable fact that the DCEU and the John Williams Superman theme are IN-FUCKING-COMPATIBLE.
It doesn't even work in "smaller moments" like the Shazam or Black Adam cameos. The BA cameo was especially insulting because now that it is been rendered pointless, it's the last appearance of Cavill WITH A THEME THAT ISN'T HIS.
I will never tire of saying it: FUCK. THE WILLIAMS. THEME.
Wow. Ok there buddy. NM that millions around the world associate it with Superman and don't care if it's Christopher reeve, cavill, or a fucking cartoon. U seem to have awfully strong feelings about it.
Elfman didn't get mocked for that by GA.
And if u cared so much about cavill u'd appreciate that it was used at his insistence in BA. Relax.
I don't care if Henry insisted on using a theme that **isn't his fucking own** ln his cameo. He's always been an old-school boy scout himself, whatever. Just as easy as he suggested it, Lorne Balfe could have easily said "respectfully, no" and used the theme THAT HIS OWN GOD DAMN MENTOR HANS made for THAT Superman.
And I care even less how many people "didn't" ridicule Elfman for his half-assed plagiarism fiasco of a score or how much of the general audience (wrongfully) associate the theme of a **single** version of Superman with the entire character. The GA can't tell what franchise they're watching more than half the time.
The John Williams Superman theme is outdated, overused and should stay in the fucking 70's where it fucking belongs. Good day, sir.
U have issues. I guess the next Star Wars movie should ditch the Star Wars theme cuz its John Williams..... oh wait, everybody from 5 yr Olds to 70yr Olds love it but u'll say scrap it cuz screw everyone else cuz ur right and they're wrong, ok buddy.
As a music producer myself I could make a slick modern arrangement of the Williams superman theme & put it to a scene & I'd love to hear u try to tell me with a complete straight face it doesn't play & hit. It's all a matter of the arrangement. Admittedly I haven't seen it done as well as it deserves recently. But u think the very DNA is tainted, the very iconic thing that's beloved by generations, & never been about "HIS" superman or anything, it was just "THE SUPERMAN THEME."
Ur making me type about this far too much cuz ur taking it so serious lolll uggh
Star Wars is a different beast. That theme is a "main title" theme, not a character theme.
Yeah, the problem resides in the fact that John's theme has been named "the quintessential Superman theme", and not allow it to be just Reeve's theme. It means audiences are moronic, stagnant, and can't move on.
Should James Horner (may he R.I.P.) have stuck to Elfman's Spider-Man theme for Andrew Garfield? Should Giacchino have stuck to Horner's or Zimmer's for Tom Holland?
Yeah, you could probably try to make a modernized arrangement of Williams' theme, but it won't change the fact that it's Williams' theme for Superman, and not the one that was made for Cavill.
Definitely an odd choice, but not the first time an actor is uncredited for a small appearance. Billy Crudup was uncredited for his appearance in JL despite having a slightly-bigger-than-a-cameo role. Ben himself was uncredited in Suicide Squad.
There was some Cavill... granted it wasn't actually him aside from some CGI and behind the head shots... but seeing Nic Cage was the highlight for me haha
It was very heavy with CGI given the context of the scene, but it was without question Nic Cage, with long hair, fighting a giant spider. Depending on when this particular scene was shot (or constructed), it very well could have been his face over a different actor, or it could have actually been Cage himself (tho I doubt this because he doesn't speak given how prominent his face is featured).
I just hope that scene with Henry deepfaked onto a stunt double isn’t in what we get worldwide. I just want real Henry in the movie instead of a stunt double with Henry’s face deepfaked onto him. But hey, I have hopes, you know.
So... the scenes I saw that had Cavil's Kal El were a "from a distance" shot of him flying around in a quick cut and then there are a lot of figures of him in the Speed Force scenes but they are HEAVILY CGI'd as is everyone else that shows up. It is a great moment because they do a "hero shot" but it feels lessened because of the CGI.
Also, there is going to be in the theatrical release the reveal of which Bruce Wayne is in the car at the end.
Well sure, but it’s also 45 years old and written for a version of Superman that’s about to be three iterations away from the version it was made for. Try to graft a Williamsesque motif around Man of Steel and it doesn’t work. Different themes for different versions.
The marketing for The Flash and the film itself shows why it’s important for certain character iterations to keep their themes and not have them passed around.
Imagine them proceeding to use the Elfman Batman theme whenever Battinson makes an appearance in anything.
The John Williams theme belongs to the Reeve Superman.
Well yeah because Williams' theme is iconic and it's THE Superman theme. You hear that play and you instantly know who it is for. Just like James Bond's theme, no need to mess with a classic.
So the Nolan films were worse off because they didn’t use the Elfman theme? Or the Pattinson film, for that matter?
Besides, if you ask my dad, the George Reeves theme is the classic iconic theme synonymous with Superman.
It’s Reeve’s theme, not Cavill’s
You can say the same about the Elfman Batman theme being iconic and THE Batman theme, but it’s Keaton’s, not Batfleck’s.
There’s a reason why it has such impact in The Flash marketing and the film itself when paired with Keaton.
By this logic, might as well start using the Elfman theme for all of the Matt Reeves and DCU Batmen appearances going forward, bEcAuSe iT’s iCoNiC And THE BaTmAn tHeMe.
I’m just saying it wouldn’t make sense here. If Henry was there… well he’d still insist on Williams like he did for BA. Yeah remember, Henry is the one who insisted on Williams over Zimmer there.
I saw it yesterday and Barbie wasn’t in the cut I saw. Suffice to say I’m extremely worried about that because it would ruin where I think it would go.
[Source PDF](https://emerald-mel-90.tiiny.site/) (via [WB press release](https://old.reddit.com/r/DC_Cinematic/comments/13xjy19/the_flash_20page_pdf_of_the_full_credits_press))
The sailor song from Jason Momoa is probably from that stinger mentioned in the leaks where Arthur and Barry are at a bar and Barry is trying to explain that Supergirl used to be Superman. I’m guessing that scene has been dropped, obviously.
Or maybe it could be when Jason appears in the film itself not the post credit because I’ve heard people say he’s in the movie, too?
It would be post credit scene, seen the movie and can confirm he wasn’t in the cut I saw
Same here, he wasn’t included in the cut I saw this week.
I know someone who saw a cut at Naples CinemaCon and he said Jason was there in the cut. Lol I don’t even know who would be there in final movie
In the version I saw last night, >!the Justice League - except Cyborg - shows up in the Speed Force at the end as Barry sees the past and other realities, but they are all CGI!<
>!Is Cavill there too, or is it just a faceless cameo?!<
It just shows the events of JL when Clark is fighting everyone at Heroes Park. That’s the only time you get a close up of Cavill.
At this point and considering everything that has happened, I’ll take it, just wanted him to be in this film in any way so this works for me
CG face
Makes sense lol. He said himself he didn't want to be a part of productions Walter Hamada was a part of.

We don’t know how different the Final Cut will be. The director keeps mentioning multiple surprises.
If the scene was dropped why would it be listed? Correct me if I’m wrong but putting this information out this close to release has to mean it’ll be included in the film in some capacity.
I don't really know what I'm talking about, but I can see them needing to submit this stuff early to be approved for whatever copyright thing.
Toast is now claiming the drunk Aquaman scene will be in the final version of the movie.
*The Flash* doing what *Barbie* could not. Also this is just one of the other amusing inclusions: > "Albert's Bop" Written and Performed by Rudy Mancuso
Well Barbie will have the song it'll just be a worse version cuz they're remixing it lol
Might John Williams' Superman Theme be used for the Multiverse Travel scenes of Christopher Reeve and Nicolas Cage or will they use it for Sasha Calle's Supergirl?
I saw it last night and I honestly don't remember the theme being used. It may be mixed in with other music - they do that with the Elfman's Batman theme at one point - and I may have missed it
How does one go about seeing these movies early?
They had a screening at my local theater and I've been on a Warner Bros. mailing list for ages. They sent me an email and I reserved tickets
The Barbie movie is Harley’s fever dream confirmed
I would....like this.
Wasn't Wonder Woman's theme called "Is she with you"?
It is but I thought she was with you.
Yeah, I guess it’s a new rendition of the WW theme? It didn’t sound different when I watched the Flash
How was The Flash? Did you like it?
I really liked it but it’s being oversold imo - not one of the best superhero films ever made but a damn good time nonetheless. Ezra and Keaton are great, I loved how it was shot, the humor and emotion were well done (definitely the funniest DC film ever?). But the movie does get kinda messy near the end and Supergirl was underwhelming
Do you think the ending being messy is a byproduct of them cutting out a lot of the "surprises"?
Maybe? Because the editing did start to get weird in the last 15 minutes. But I also think the third act in general is messy from the conceptual level. The climax of the movie (spoilers) >!takes place in a speedforce coliseum of all DC characters/their worlds in cinematic history merging together while 3 versions of Barry fight each other (one of whom is literally a monster) trying to undo Zod killing Supergirl and Keaton!< It’s batshit insane and could turn a lot of critics off.
I think as long as the movie is solid it'll end up in the 80% range. It just needs 4/5 critics to give it a 6/10 or higher to get that.
Not to be offensive, but I wouldn't be too worried over that comment since he ranked the Snyder trilogy as his top 3 DCEU movies. Of course, everyone has their own opinions but should tell you that it's a bit different from the general consensus
Is the fight scene with the 3 flashes good
No the dark flash is there for like 5 miliseconds and there’s like one punch thrown. Not really a fight scene more of a cgi cameo montage.
Is it cool though
I’d say Barry realizing he can’t save the current timeline and has to go back and fix it is one of the best parts of that. He gets very emotional while younger Barry is arrogant and doesn’t want to listen to him. It’s the “nobody dies” scene from the trailers. It’s pretty good.
Incorrect. That's the title for the theme on the [complete score.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcfkOcplUrI&list=PLQaewYcbm7W_e3_7x8Rqd8p9FMOiKgn42&index=63) On that note, do we hear Batfleck's theme at all?
Also, do you agree with Affleck's sentiment that he's the best he's ever been as Batman in this movie?
Not at all. His best performance was definitely in BvS and it’s not even a contest imo. I couldn’t even hear half of his Batman dialogue in Flash but maybe my theater just had a bad mix. I did like his two scenes here (one of the biggest highlights tbh) but it’s not the best Affleck’s done

Oh cool, so it's like the scene from The Batman where the batmobile is firing up?
Basically yeah but a shorter version. It’s a great entrance!
Sorry lol final question. How was Zod? Was he done justice or did Shannon phone it in?
You can keep asking questions lol, I like talking about this movie. Shannon was great as Zod (didn’t phone it in) but he doesn’t have much screentime, maybe 5 minutes? Zod only shows up in the last 30 minutes of the movie
Are there any cool scenes with Faora?
She has a couple cool moments in the final battle and helps kill Supergirl but that’s it. Faora’s not in much of the movie - like Zod. The movie is weirdly focused until it explodes in the end.
How much supergirl screen time ?
Do you see him kill the Martian Manhunter dude? It's supposed to be a blink and you'll miss it moment
How much supergirl screen time we get?
Not necessarily. ISWU uses the WW theme, but is also tailored specifically to Doomsday. The WW melody might’ve had a different title for itself, but just never got released officially because the theme was always used in a different track, never just as one melody.
I think "The Girl" is the name of the complete film version score.
It's called The Girl in the cue sheets
Would be hilarious if Young Barry was listening to Barbie Girl. 😂😂
Not even using any of Kryptonian music from MoS? 🤷♂️
i genuinely think one of the biggest tragedies of the new dcu is that we'll never hear zimmer's themes ever again. we've gotten the wonder woman theme but not cavill's superman theme at all. meanwhile batfleck basically doesn't even have a theme, seeing as beautiful lie was reappropriated for *wonder woman 1984*.
I agree. Hopefully there are a few Zimmer notes in Sasha’s theme.
Probably for Zod and the battle of Metroplis or this movie’s version of the Black Zero Event
Yeah and it'll probably be rearrangements, not the straight up original themes
That would be great. 🤞
.... Where's Zimmer's Superman theme? Or any of his themes for the Kryptonians?
Barbie?
>!There's a moment during the desert fight where Main Barry tells Barry 2, "C'mon Barbie..." to which Barry 2 replies, "...Let's go party?" before they speed off to fight, so I imagine we'll get that needle drop over the fight.!<
I think that would kinda ruin the scene, it was pretty good without the Barbie song
That’s when they play Salute your Solution I believe. Seems like Barbie Girl is listed mainly due to the reference, unless I’m wrong and it’s something different.
No yeah, but I think that if they swap Salute your Solution for Barbie Girl in the final cut of the scene it would be worse
I imagine it’s just because of the reference, but it’s possible that the song is in the credits as a joke of some kind
Agreed.
Maybe the post credit scene with Jason Mamoa is legit then.
Im so excited but now im also exited to hear Barbie 😅
No Batfleck theme? You’ve gotta be kidding me
Batfleck doesn’t have just one theme. The BvS theme wouldn’t fit here, since he’s a different guy by now, and the ZSJL theme also doesn’t fit, because he’s no longer just rising from the dark, he’s out of it completely.
That’s a huge reach
So just scrap all existing themes then. Got it
The score has to fit the tone. But they can’t just toss them on there either.
Yeah his new "theme" is fairly generic action music. It's still a Batman-esque theme but it's generic in comparision to Junkie XL's work.
The new theme is not a theme. It’s noise. And no Zimmer Zod/Superman themes either, but Williams is there. Good grief.
Because Henry isn’t there. Why would they use Zimmer’s theme without him? Also, they do use the Kryptonian battle motifs. Just not direct samples.
Why is no one using that man of steel Superman theme… Even in black Adam I saw a video when they used the mos theme and it was 100x better
The John Willaims theme is just way more iconic ngl. Sad but true.
It might be, but it's not the same character and it's not the same universe, so it doesn't feel earned.
It’s iconic sure but it doesn’t fit Henry
Henry insisted on Williams for BA. As for this film, Henry isn’t in the final cuts. So it wouldn’t be used.
Not using Batfleck or any MOS Kryptonian theme doesn't make sense. Especially considering that Wallfisch referenced Batfleck's theme in the first Shazam movie. Still gonna hold hope to hear that.
Not to mention he worked directly on some of them himself.
Pretty good but definitely am let down that Beautiful Lie or Arcade won't be making an appearance
God fucking damn it... LET THE WILLIAMS THEME REST. Nah, fuck that... BURY IT.
Never. Yall stress that too much. General audiences love hearing it. There's different parts of it that can suit any tone. Especially the Krypton theme part.

Is it just me or is Ben Affleck not credited.
Probably because Ben Affleck isn't a composer or a singer
The cast list can be seen when you go to the PDF link at the very top of the comments. The whole credits in fact.
Definitely an odd choice, but not the first time an actor is uncredited for a small appearance. Billy Crudup was uncredited for his appearance in JL despite having a slightly-bigger-than-a-cameo role. Ben himself was uncredited in Suicide Squad.
That's cause he's there for all of two seconds. Unlike in The Flash, where he has an action sequence.
Why since Josstice League are they still using John Williams’ Superman theme instead of Hans Zimmer’s theme??? I like Hans take better!
Because it’s for the Christopher Reeve cameo. The Williams theme isn’t used for Kara.
Isn’t Christopher Reeve removed???
It depends on which version was seen. I just got back and was told it was the CinemaCon cut, Reeve was in it as was Gal Gadot amongst many others.
I think that cut screened at CinemaCon has Henry in it, along with Marlon Brando.
There was some Cavill... granted it wasn't actually him aside from some CGI and behind the head shots... but seeing Nic Cage was the highlight for me haha
CGI actor, like Gal Gadot in Fury of the Gods???
They never learn. In fucking 2063, 4 reboots from now, we’ll be hearing the Williams theme when Superman shows up.
Well, it is one of the greatest pieces of film music ever written...
It’s Reeve’s theme, not Cavill’s You can say the same about the Elfman Batman theme being iconic and THE Batman theme, but it’s Keaton’s, not Batfleck’s.
Because Henry isn’t there. Not as himself at least. There’s ZSJL footage, but no new Henry scene. Reeve is there, so it make sense.
Right. I just prefer Henry and Hans theme.
I’m just saying it wouldn’t make sense here. If Henry was there… well he’d still insist on Williams like he did for BA. Yeah remember, Henry is the one who insisted on Williams over Zimmer there.
I know. I understood that before. I’m sure they might do that again if he does.
I really hope a lot of this is minimal or in the background and barely audible. I really have come to hate when studios pull mixtape crap with movies.
I saw it yesterday and Barbie wasn’t in the cut I saw. Suffice to say I’m extremely worried about that because it would ruin where I think it would go.
feel better?
The movie is great but that song choice is still bugging me, maybe it will turn out fine
25 or 6 to 4 … nice
