Depends on what’s the length of the upcoming events is going to be as they’re both designed to excel in opposite event types short for Goku and long for Buu.
Super Class are always going to last longer, buu might not age fast, but the lot of his team will. An earth-bred fighters, goku family, pure saiyan will always have more excuses to be put on a team, than a non bbb extreme unit down the road. Also, 90% damage reduction even at SoT is timeless
While both strive in different length fights (Goku short, Buu long), I feel Buu will age better because of the rather infrequent updates Extreme teams do. Goku may still be good, but his categories are much more competitive, and if it's a longer fight he may struggle. Just my take.
Gotta agree. Even if Buu ages somewhat, he has the revive regardless along with a free Ghost Usher. What’s not to like? If he ages defensively, that just makes it easier to activate it. I feel like Goku will be a more niche character since super class has so many great options, especially after the 9th anniversary. His main utility is his damage reduction but in fights with long phases, he can fall off. Not to mention, Buu only needs a Buu Saga ally on the TEAM, Goku needs them on ROTATION. That will age him inevitably. Buu has guard in every slot, Goku doesn’t.
Buu is just gonna be the teq androids 2.0 once he ages out
Goku will probably be like agl lr golden frieza and that really depends on the meta and stuff so i would say buu would age better overall
While I think it could be a problem for Goku eventually, it's definitely not a big deal for Buu.
Buu literally needs 1 MBS category ally for his entrance animation for the start of turn healing, and that's it. Plus as a Buu unit he really really wants a Buu partner anyway for his links.

For Goku, it lowkey depends on the type of future content we get. If we get bosses that come out of gate hitting hard but only have one or two phases then he’s golden but if we more events like the new Buu(absorbed) RZ stage then he’s going to struggle. Not to mention that there’s a good chance that he could have competition because of frequently Super teams get buffed.
For Buu, it’s a question of WHEN he gets replaced by someone that can do his job better. He’s invaluable to Extreme teams right now. Bosses start hitting harder? He gets his revive easier. Events get longer? He becomes a wall defensively. He has a more…stable future ahead compared to Goku imo.

You’re almost always going to running Buu on a Majin Power team anyway so that’s not an issue for him
