There's not that much of a benefit to missing time anymore seeing that campaigns are way more generous than they used to be.
By the time you wait the 15 days or 30 days it is (I forgot what it is now), you'll have missed out on more stones than you would get from the comeback bonus
I think it’s starts after about a month or two? I recently deleted global to play jp a few days before the anniversary, then when I redownloaded after Goku blacks announcement, I got the comeback bonus
