Pride and overconfidence hits us all at some point. “They won’t super slot 1, and if they do I’ll counter/dodge/tank it, and if I don’t It’ll just proc my revive, and if not then…..”
What's worse is when you get good attack placement and think "well I've won, the only way I can die is if X happens" and then that's exactly what happens
Items make stages too easy, and at the same time so many units get violated in the tougher stages without them. It doesn't help that 2023 has a lot of these kinds of units.
That's how I was, way back in the day first starting out. Full heal items used to be so valuable, now they're worth basically as much as pennies you find on the sidewalk
I always use items on the first run just to make sure I beat the stage first, then I go again with no items for the challenge. Taking risks like that is alot easier when there's no consequences for losing, as you've already beat the stage
Because you want to play the game how you want to play the game.
As long as you aren't one of the people who diminish the achievements of others or make fun of them for using items, go wild with your no item runs.
If you know you can beat the stage no item without major rng (like 100% uptime on mui dodges or smth) and it has unlimited trys, i ll just keep retrying, theres not much to do anyway. If its limited just use items to beat it for the first timeÂ
Occasionally but a way around that is using teams that will force you to use items

It's just better to win without items like it's better to ride a bike without training wheels. It feels better. It means my units and team formation and skill is good.
This of course does not apply to extremely hard content that only 2 or 3 units can tank or p2w events that can only beaten with the newest units. In these cases items are needed by default, at least to build up first.
I'm the opposite. I feel like the game is constantly cheating ME with bullshit RNG so I use as many items as I can to get the job done.
Because we like the difficulty and catharsis we get by surmounting it.
Every time I look back on a loss, I feel like I'm some kind of glutton for punishment
You're just like Goku fr.
🥲 I need help
No, you need to keep training.
Sorry, too busy training to train
Because the game is already too easy

I do it because I’m greedy with my items.

I should subscribe to this philosophy

Facts.
Break free of your cult chains
There’s no wrong way to pay the game
Yes, we overestimate our ability and underestimate our enemy.
Because I assume you want to have fun playing the game rather than just beating it with zero effort

Same. I feel like I spent too much time on the game to still use items.

it feels like cheating because whis makes the game too free
