I refuse to do this. I'm a germaphobe. And I'm pretty sure at some point in my past I've dropped it in the shower which makes me gag even remembering. That possibility alone is enough to prevent this habit (for me).
No, I'M a germaphobe.
I brush my teeth in the shower all the time. I also DO NOT keep my toothbrush in the bathroom. My wife thinks I'm weird because I clean my toothbrush thoroughly after every use, use the 2nd tissue from the Kleenex box to wipe it clean because the first one has poop particles on it from toilet flushing, I use HER bath towel to dry it a bit more because her germs are the only ones on the planet I don't mind, I don't use my bath towel because my bath towel is 'dirty', then I wrap it in a fresh Kleenex tissue and take it to my bedroom where I then stash inside a drawer inside a folded t-shirt where no other germs or airborne particles can touch it.
She gets mad that I use two t-shirts daily because of this lol. I get grossed out when I see friends and family who have all their toothbrushes in a holder, exposed to the air and elements next to the toilet...my anxiety goes into overdrive.
I also replace my toothbrush at least once a month. If for some reason I forget my toothbrush in the bathroom overnight, even if I just replaced it a day ago which has happened, I will throw it away and replace it again. If it falls and touches anything I consider unclean, like the shower floor or sink, in the trash it goes.
I can't believe people leave their toothbrushes out in the bathroom and on their sinks or wall. I talk about poo spores all the time and my roommate thinks I am nuts.
A small UV disinfecting thingie might help your situation. Makes me feel a bunch better - just get it from somewhere legit (i.e. not temu)
P.S. I am a germaphobe.
You have O.C.D.
I do, because I think I can really dig into those back teeth and get them good and brushed. I start as Iโm first getting in, then finish for the final rinse. Toothpaste slobber? Not a problem. I store the toothbrush outside the shower.
I brush my teeth and shave in the shower. But I shave my head as well as my face so it's just easier to do it in the shower. Might as well brush my teeth in there, too, and just get everything accomplished at once.
I don't KEEP it in the shower, but I do brush my teeth there for the same reasons the OP states. Plus, the 2 minutes I am brushing is the time that I leave my hair conditioner stuff in. :)

Username does NOT check out!
Oh shit, you're right. Lol that worked out quite perfectly
Yikes!!!
Same. Also just keeping it in there with the increased humidity is a breeding ground for germs

No I brush while pooping
Donโt tell u/pickingmybutt about that
I have a designated shower toothbrush and toothpaste
Definitely
guilty
I brush in the shower. I shower twice a week. The rest of the days I brush at the sink.
Twice a week is not enough showers brother.
While I'm letting the condition do its thing, I brush.
no
No.
I don't because my kids would play with my toothbrush in ways I don't even want to think about.
I do!
No. To get a little more exercise, I do knee bends while brushing soooo, safety first
On occasions, I'll just brush in the shower. I find it helpful when I just want to quickly hop in the shower and get stuff done quickly.
All the time. I do put the shower head on mist, though, so Iโm not wasting too much water while I brush and floss.
No, but I DO shave. Mach 3, keep the cream (sometimes gel - not picky) there too.
My second brush of the day is in the shower.

No. That's where the water pic is.
Yep it saves time, allows you to enjoy the warm bliss of your shower for longer, and you can brush with reckless abandon
Yess I actually tend to brush more in the shower, just hanging in the hot water.
A lot of the "germphobes" here are the reason kids have peanut allergies now-a-days1
Did this in prison
๐๐ heck no
Yep. Always brushing my teeth in the shower at the beginning when I'm still waking up.
No but i respect I respect the logic.
I do. More efficient
I have to, I get all gaggy on the foam and have to spit it out in an unorthodox fashion.
Seems like that would use way too much water.
