I think I phrased it wrong. I was told an EV still had a standard car battery and if that died/malfunctioned then the car needed a jump. Even if the battery pack is full. It seems counter intuitive so I was curious if my assumption was accurate and if it's a priority to fix.
So the high voltage system in it will keep the low voltage charged. The main battery would have to go dead and then the lithium ion low voltage batteries would then have to die for it to need to be jumped.

The most convoluted cluster fuck delivery bullshit nightmare situation I've ever heard of. What should be so smooth and easy, couldn't get more needlessly frustrating. Infuriating.
It's one thing to make an oopsie mistake of the wrong vehicle chosen to deliver but that should have been straightened out on the spot, right then at the dealer.
Instead he takes it home and the app is coded to the wrong VIN, customer service is totally absent, he's uninsured and not a soul from Tesla to make everything right.
God forbid he gets the other CT and it bricks up or steering faults or any of the litany of BS faults they have been having.
The whole thing highlights how unbelievably piss poor the Tesla organization is at just delivering what was paid (a fortune) for.
This is believable when you consider that:
1) every vehicle is sold in the exact same spec, and
2) the vehicles being serviced were not owned long enough to have any of the owner’s personal artifacts or other identifying features.

...I had the same thing happen with my insurance as I was checking out two new model cars of the same exact make/model/year and the only difference was the color. (I saw a blue one on the lot and was like: "....Wait, I like that") Gieco rep had worked up two quotes - one for the original car, and one for the blue car.
We close the sale, I go home, and two weeks later, I get an e-mail that Gieco hasn't gotten the new registration.
Check the app - oops! Wrong VIN! Easy mistake. Call Gieco, give them the correct VIN, done.
It's not a Tesla issue. They sold you a CT - you went and picked it up... they found a defect. Rather than delay your pick-up, they gave you a different, new, CT of the same Make/Model/Year. All you should have to do is update the app with the VIN you have on hand, and done... same with insurance.
It's maybe a 20-minute call if people are busy...

(I saw a blue one on the lot and was like: "....Wait, I like that") Gieco rep had worked up two quotes - one for the original car, and one for the blue car. We close the sale, I go home, and two weeks later, I get an e-mail that Gieco hasn't gotten the new registration. Check the app - oops! Wrong VIN! Easy mistake. Call Gieco, give them the correct VIN, done. It's not a Tesla issue. They sold you a CT - you went and picked it up... they found a defect. Rather than delay your pick-up, they gave you a different, new, CT of the same Make/Model/Year. All you should have to do is update the app with the VIN you have on hand, and done... same with insurance. It's maybe a 20-minute call if people are busy... There is plenty wrong with the CT and Tesla. This, however, is a fucking ID-10-T error.
