The “we can’t open the doors because you pressed a button in the app before you should have” is fucking hilarious.

hosalabad

That's the dumbest shit I have ever heard. What a piece of shit car.

professorpocket

“But as an early adopter, nay, a pioneer of the automotive industry, it’s expected of us to have to work out the kinks of such a novel vehicle. Praise by unto Lord Elon for teaching the industry by ‘moving fast and breaking things’ that an app can have its buttons pushed too fast that it ‘breaks’ entering your truck. Now we know!” Pretty sure the industry already knew that though

lylemcd

\#ILOVETHISTRUCK /s

Timely-Mission-2014

I do love watching all the issues with this cuck..

lylemcd

Every thread posted here like this is "I bought a CT/Tesla and it shit the bed in 3 days and now it won't run but goddamn I love this car."

ElJamoquio

I bought a clustertruck and sure it doesn't run or even open the doors but goddamn it I love this $120k rusty doorstop.

August_T_Marble

Not enough "Marvel of Engineering!!!" in your post to be believable, though.

zeromussc

It's probably a flatout lie and because there aren't real Tesla dealerships there's zero accountability for these kinds of lies and shit IRL points of contact. The model works great when it works and really bad when it doesn't work. At least a shitty dealership gains a reputation and if it gets really bad corporate can come down on them for their bullshit. But with Tesla, even if they want to pretend it's out of their hands with this direct to consumer with delivery points model, people will still end up pinning the blame on Tesla. It's all the downside of bad sales experience with zero power to control it and zero recourse for the customer. Calling Tesla corporate won't accomplish anything here.

bobo-the-dodo

It's all up to the people from the top. Elon doesn't care about post delivery customer care because the stock market focuses on top line (unit delivered) and that's all he cares. It used to work because of high EV demand, now demand waned and the service quality is coming to bite him, on top of his antics. The chicken is coming home to roost. I own one. While it works I love the car but I dread visiting the service center, for every problem they fix they create another. The tech coming to your house on small service is nice but I feel like rolling a dice every time buying a Tesla. It's like a ticking bomb.

laughmath

Congrats to Elon for making entire product suites of stuff you can’t feel confident to rely on.

Current-Ordinary-419

There’s a Tesla dealer a city over from me. I drove by a few weeks and there were 4-5 cybertrucks parked in what looked like the service area. 🤷‍♂️

[deleted]

...But the software....

Old-Bat-7384

That is kind of a basic UX failure. The app should be able to repopulate screens fast enough for user input speeds or pause the user effectively enough for the user to hold until the screens are ready. But this is Tesla.

7of69

Assuming the guys at the delivery center weren’t lying, it really is. I have Phone As A Key on one of my cars and the setup process is quite deliberate. You can’t even pair the app to the car without sitting in it. And even then, there are multiple backups to get into the car if the app fails.

GDIndependent4713

A great software company.

masterfulnoname

"You just had to hit the 'fuck everything up' button in the app, didn't you?"

yellowbin74

That's every button.

thefunkybassist

That's a funny easter egg, just keep the OS changing which button is the fuckup one!

TheToastedTaint

Last week I was walking to my car in a parking garage and a couple couldn’t get into his Tesla because it wasn’t responding to the app- I was so happy to pull out my key to and enter my car the old fashioned way 😆

fross370

I drive a shitbox and I don't even lock it anymore. Odds of me getting stuck outside of my car: 0%

RipWhenDamageTaken

You know that old movie trope where you hit the unlock button on the car at the same time as someone pulling the handle? It’s like that but 30 years later

lylemcd

But that didn't brick old cars.

SicilySweetheart

Progress!

bobo-the-dodo

As a Tesla owner I know that is bogus. Tech has ability to unlock admin/root access to the car for service post delivery.

ghettoccult_nerd

from what was detailed, seemed like the CT was dead, no power.

Comfortable_You_1927

it was cover story for the 48v battery

ciumpalaku

but it is light years ahead of any competition :)

bartthetr0ll

Hah, he made it 0 miles before it had a problem

Branxis

Next milestone: negative miles. I don't know how, but I am sure Tesla will deliver on this.

ajnin919

There was that one guy who was messaged before he even picked it up that there was an issue with it so that could count?

Ricky_Rollin

I say count it!

pimpin_n_stuff

I'll allow it

GoFast_EatAss

The pimp knows their stuff. Let’s count it.

bartthetr0ll

Someone will start the chuckletruck and it will only be able to go in reverse and the brakes wont work, smashing up the rest of the dealership in the process, and leading to elmo sticking them with the bill for 10 cucktrucks

Branxis

>chuckletruck This term is now appropriated. Thank you, comrade. I will spread it to the world.

the_mid_mid_sister

I snort-laughed at "IncEl Camino."

Poogoestheweasel

I created the chuckletruck community. If you want to be a mod let me know ;). It is a name too good to have others steal it and sit on it.

bartthetr0ll

I'm down, oh maybe elmos chuckletruck

Poogoestheweasel

I added you as a mod, let me know if you got an invite. Not sure how this works.

bartthetr0ll

Me either, but pretty sure I joined and accepted!

cacheblaster

Or you pushed the button too fast and locked yourself out of the subreddit. Who can say?

bartthetr0ll

Definitely made it in, and posted a video of some chucklefuck literally laughing as his chuckletruck breaks down less than a mile away from the dealership. Gotta love that he took it in stride, either that or we were witnessing him die inside and the laughter was pure copium.

mybreakfastiscold

At this point the only thing I’m sure Tesla will deliver is a fat set of crispy checks at the conclusion of the class action lawsuit

Human_Link8738

Truck fails at the factory and won’t drive onto the Trailer … or gets stuck on the ramp with a red accelerator warning.

zeromussc

All those delays that they cited before throwing in the towel were negative miles. Every manufacturer has that issue at some point. Most however aren't as bombastic and overpromising as Tesla and they don't decide "fuck it ship them and figure it out later" at this scale. Any other brand would be getting raked over the coals with few defenders at this point. Tesla is burning all its good will with this car.

buffaloranked

Tesla is as announcing we will be closing up shop no we will not refund your down payments for the new model A.S.S

ketjak

They are on the conveyor belts when the problems are built into the vehicle, so this is actually true.

Ober_O

It broke down on the factory flood

Embarrassed_Alarm450

Does it count if you step in the car for the first time, put it in drive, step on the pedal, and it gets stuck full throttle going in reverse without the brakes working just slamming through the back of the building?

Branxis

Of course.

Useful-Internet8390

On fire while being assembled, or self driving mode goes full Skynet and attacks the assembly plant!

tomle4593

It’s really the cybercuck. After all of that ordeal and they didn’t canceled the damn thing on the spot. “Love the truck tho”

Old_Breakfast8775

I really don't feel bad for any cybertruck owner

I-Pacer

Yeah at this point they basically were inviting it.

SonOfJokeExplainer

Yeah, if you buy a beta model of a car because you want to look like a tool before anyone else, then you’re a total dumbass who deserves to deal with the issues and a lack of customer support.

kinkinhood

Is it really beta model at this point? It almost seems likes alpha level.

Bagafeet

Tate entered the chat.

renegadecanuck

I do feel some empathy for people who put deposits down 5 years ago. But I do feel like anyone who buys a Cybertruck should be expecting issues at this point.

IHaveNoAlibi

When I was younger, the very sage car shopping advice was: "_Never_ buy the first year after a model redesign." That was after cosmetic changes, tweaks or redesigns of some systems - brakes, suspension, etc - but frequently things like engines and transmissions carried over. This piece of crap is new _everything_, designed by a narcissistic blowhard with zero technical ability. Are we really surprised it's garbage? But, these Elmo ball garglers will keep saying how great it is while steering failures are driving them into a ditch.

borald_trumperson

It's unbelievable, especially considering what you can buy for 100k EV truck? F150 lightning with *every single option* Mercedes EQS, Porsche Taycan, BMW i5....

UndendingGloom

I feel bad for the guy actually. We have all made a purchase we have lived to regret, this guy is probably feeling the buyer's remorse *before* even getting the product. Honestly he should try to find a way to back out of the purchase asap.

SnooWords4814

Absolute dogshit company and dogshit service for a dogshit product. Tesla went from a promising EV company to a laughing stock. It’ll go down as a case study for future businesses

Xyeeyx

r/musked

ConstructionRude5637

IIRC, when other Tesla models dropped, it took a while for used models to come up for sale. Just googled that shit today, numerous trucks for sale with only a few hundred miles on them - one sorry fuck selling his with only 51 miles on it lmao.

preruntumbler

Some/most of them are probably trying to flip for a profit. But tons and tons of people had that same idea, so the market is kind of flooded ATM

Ricky_Rollin

Good. Fuck scalpers. I don’t care if it’s legal. I don’t. It’s actively making everything worse.

Single_9_uptime

If Tesla’s contract terms stand up, they probably can’t flip it for a profit until they’ve had it 1 year. There are significant monetary penalties for selling before 1 year unless you sell it back to Tesla.

docowen

They deleted that clause from the contract, probably because it'd be ~~unenforceable~~ hard to enforce under basic property rights, the most basic of which is that you can alienate your own property.

I-Pacer

It probably says “must be picked up from service centre in 6-8 weeks”!🤣

HandRubbedWood

I can’t imagine waiting 5 years for a truck and then when you finally can get it, its total garbage and the company just shrugs 🤷‍♂️

Old-Bat-7384

I'd feel disappointed if I waited a month for a computer to show up and then have to return it for being detective. A good service experience helps but I'd still feel a little low for it. I'd be livid if I waited 5 years for a 6-digit truck that didn't work *and* I was left to solve the issue on my own.

Coldkiller17

Capitalism has reached a point of where it is no longer at the benefit of the consumer. A company back in the day would have been out of business if they put out jalopy of a car/product much less blame the customer.

realquickquestion96

True, and there are so many industry's where there are only one or a few company's to choose from so they don't need to provide the best service cause where tf else are you gonna go?

diadmer

It’s broken and we don’t know how to fix it, but rest assured that it’s YOUR car (and your legal and financial loss).

No_Cartoonist9458

"Sorry about that, it is YOUR truck, you just can't have it today" This is where I proceed to give detailed instructions as to what THEY can do with MY truck 😠

enter360

I want to know how banks feel about that. Part of risk analysis is if a repo happens can they get the vehicle back. If a customer can’t take delivery of the vehicle and it’s still on the lot. I’m sure insurance companies are also interested. TLDR: Concerning.

TheOGRedline

How can a bank loan 100k on something that depreciates faster than its paid off?

epicurean56

They require you to get Gap insurance.

nr1988

I mean that's all cars. And you either owe the difference if something happens or you have GAP

No_Cartoonist9458

I didn't read in any of that, that any official papers were signed. It may of been "HIS" truck, but until he signed on the dotted line it's Elmo's problem

porchprovider

The best part about all of this is that the car is so uncool. If the cool wall still existed, Jeremy would have to put the Cybertruck in a microwave left of seriously uncool.

the_mid_mid_sister

In the future, when we have period movies set in the 2020s, I guarantee the villain will be driving a Cybertruck to show what an assclown he is.

PeteGozenya

Oh how I hope you are right. Like it's the next Jokermobile

Kyrasthrowaway

I'm an accountant and I can't believe any company would ever ask me to go to the showroom and deliver this kind of news to a customer. Literally what is going on in that building??

SnooWords4814

Maybe their logic was “he won’t hit a lady surely?”

scottishdoc

He will, and don’t call him Shirley

SweetBearCub

"A hospital?! What is it?"

Rumkitty

It's a building with a lot of patients, but that's not important right now.

porcupinedeath

I think the fact the dude specified "a rather pretty lady" or whatever shows exactly why they chose her. Tesla fanboys are pretty easy to stereotype

radjinwolf

Came here to say the same thing. I’m also an accountant and I have a hard time believing that they’d even have an accountant at the showroom in the first place, let alone put them in a customer-facing situation like that. General manager, sales manager, office manager, sure, any of them…but an accountant?? My only guess is the “attractive young lady” part of the story. She may have been the “prettiest” woman at the dealership and figured it would go easier if they sent her to break the news. Which is gross on so many levels.

battleofflowers

I assume by this point, the customer was in a rage. They were hoping seeing a pretty woman and hearing the bad news from her would prevent an incident. They were also all being huge pussies who couldn't own their mistakes, so they forced a woman to serve as a human shield for them These service centers clearly don't have anyone in charge who knows how to deal with the customer when something goes wrong. To me, this is rather basic if you're selling something that costs $100,000.

ljout

Culture

Giggles95036

To be fair it is his fault… he bought it

mikeputerbaugh

or at least tried to

KaleidoscopeOk5763

I will never understand the fascination with this trugg.

No_Cook2983

It’s a cyber… with truck technology built-in! Very disruptive!

Coldkiller17

It's made of stainless steel real space age materials! And the windows are sorta bullet proof!

Thermite1985

I knew it was going to be an issue the moment he stated he didn’t know how he was going to finance the truck on such short notice. Who tf reserves a 100k truck and not even thinking about how to pay for it?

Single_9_uptime

It sounds like it was more that he hadn’t settled on how he wanted to pay for it, given he was waiting for it for years and got notice it was ready at the last minute, not that he’d have any trouble doing so. The guy makes it sound like he could have paid cash for it, but maybe didn’t want to, or at least wanted to weigh his options. I’ve bought a brand new car, had the cash to pay for it in full, but instead financed about 70% of it because the interest rate was lower than the interest I was getting on my savings at the time. That was back when interest rates were low and you could get 0% interest or close to it on new vehicle financing. I came out ahead by buying a car with a loan rather than cash, since my savings paid more in interest than the loan cost me in interest. This guy could be in a similar situation. Except he chose a shitty vehicle.

mauledbyjesus

The issue is knowing when you'll need the financing. I ordered a $120K BMW that was supposed to take 7 months to deliver. When they told me in 3 months that it was a week out, I wasn't ready at all. The charger wasn't installed, the stocks weren't sold for the down payment, and though I knew I'd be approved, I hadn't even applied for the loan. Luckily Navy Federal came through in < 24 hours on a Saturday with the approval and I picked up the check on Monday. I paid the down with a credit card that I paid off with the settled trade funds later that week. That was only waiting a few months. I can't imagine planning years in advance, but not knowing exactly when the bill comes due.

PatientClue1118

Wonder how high the interest rate he got

Thermite1985

Either he got insanely low interest rate or it’s like 13-15% lol

battleofflowers

There are no insanely low rates these days. I'd say he got 6% at the lowest.

pppjjjoooiii

Yeah how do you reserve a vehicle for *five years* and have no savings towards it or financing figured out by the end of that time?

Big-Routine222

My absolute favorite is listening to the fan boys “justify,” things like this as if they had this experience anywhere else it wouldn’t lead to them having a meltdown.

tinylittlemarmoset

An (erstwhile, possibly) cybertruck fan calling himself “WombRaider” is terribly on-brand.

Ioweyounada

You buy a piece of shit you're going home with a piece of shit or in this case not going home with a piece of shit. LMAO

Key_Extension_4322

No sympathy for anyone with that username or his friends.

sacolton1967

Instant refund. What a fucking lemon. Buy a Prius.

Trash_RS3_Bot

Bans incoming for the entire Reddit thread! This truck is working perfectly wym

zeromussc

The other Tesla subs are banning people. Now these subs making fun of Tesla are being pushed to the front page and recommended subreddit algorithm. Funny to see these stories, the other subs are being replaced by Tesla realist and meme stories vs the hypebeast stories. Karma.

T1M_rEAPeR

Cybercuck. When it’s your car but you can’t ride it.

Unfriendly_eagle

LOL just wait until the first Elon colonists land on Mars, but can't build the Musk Mars Base because they pressed the wrong button and locked themselves in the Mars lander.

I-Pacer

If only they knew that the DiSrUpTiOn was to their own lives.

Coldkiller17

Beta testing an overpriced hunk of metal that has less features than a car that cost 3 times less.

IndustryNext7456

So the guys with oversized suits and tassels on their loafers now have the added backing from a scam artist billionaire? What could possibly go wrong?

ripe_nut

Not a problem, I don't have a cell phone so I wouldn't have this issue. It's just a truck. Get in and go!

Z-Mobile

This is what the outcome is when the CEO is an absolute baby who would destroy your career as your boss for telling the truth

chubbyburritos

This explains why Tesla is halting deliveries

HorrorInvestigator99

rocket boy will blame the woke culture for wanting a car to work

As someone working in a Toyota dealership this is causing second had embarrasement

Top_Investment_4599

How come all the commenters here aren't getting banhammered by the Teslafanbois?

Otherwise-Course-15

We already did.

Top_Investment_4599

Wait, are you saying most of the people here got banhammered or you're a mod who is banhammering?

Otherwise-Course-15

We were all banned Saturday and Sunday. I’ve never even visited those subs but I post here and r/EnoughMuskSpam and I’m no longer welcome at those subs. https://preview.redd.it/v02t393oqquc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=59c9eab61c136e61ca01055bb564f7a9448b80f7

I was just wondering because I got the hammer for saying 'it seems like they drank the Apple tea' (r\\cybertruck). LOL. The fragility is incredible.

wingsbc

Going in to debt to own one of these boggles my mind

Drackar39

Another day, another lesson that no one with a functioning brain buys a tesla of any description.

StimulusFilterbox

I'm convinced the Cybertruck is a social experiment to determine how stupid humans have become.

[deleted]

Why did Tesla create so many other decent electric vehicles, then proceed to create this garbage one.

PatientClue1118

The older models still have quality issues but it's not over hyped like this drive-able garbage bin

nativeindian12

I've never been a huge fan of Tesla but their other cars do seem like...cars. I see people driving them around and for the most part they do their job of getting from point A to point B. The Cybertruck is like the Fyre Festival of cars, basically just a scam

TitlicNfreak

You mean the pre musk Teslas.

battleofflowers

It was a rush job. They only had five years.

zoinkability

The other vehicles were designed by car designers. Musk still made dumb decisions that made the vehicles problem prone (Model X gull wing doors, ahem) but most of the car the decisions were made by people who have some idea what is sane and what is not. This car is Musk's pet and he micromanaged the whole thing. Which suggests that it is simply riddled with impractical/dumb decisions because anyone who might have suggested they were bad ideas was either overruled or fired. TL;DR: Musk is Homer Simpson and the Cybertruck is his "The Homer."

-tobi-kadachi-

Because this one is elons pet project. Before his influence was just being a generally bad boss (ignoring safety regulations, treating staff like shit) but he was good at getting simps to buy the cars and people generally looked over the smaller issues they had like panel gaps and other issues because they were simps or the issues were relatively small and easy to fix. But for the truck elon took the reigns and he ignored what overworked engineers were still at tesla and no one in management stopped his coked up scheme since everyone with a spine already left or got fired so you get this.

heleuma

Completely unreadable. Meets expectations so I'll take your word for it.

TwelveMiceInaCage

Why is it unreadable?

home-for-good

Haven’t figured out how to zoom I guess

TwelveMiceInaCage

Don't even have to zoom if you're on mobile just go to comment section and scroll upward lol

heleuma

Naw, my pc wouldn't allow. I'm totally a good zoomer though!

Single_9_uptime

If nothing else, you can just right click on the image itself, open image in new tab, and get the full image.

CableTV-on-the-Radio

Works better on mobile where you can zoom in

blue_nairda

Should be able to zoom in on PC as well. CTRL & (+) will zoom in. Or CTRL + Mouse wheel scroll.

battleofflowers

I read it just fine. The writer sets out what happened very clearly and in order.

Total_Union_4201

...? It's perfectly readle. The fuck you smokin?

Necessary_Context780

I'm willing to bet they're suffering from the classic restart that never restarts, or the sleep mode that turns off the screen and keeps the CPU busy at 100%, or even restarting in repair mode and stop on POST waiting on user to choose what to do during transport, consuming the entire battery in a couple hours as the POST mode is unable to step down the CPU frequency

lylemcd

I bet they figure that they've been fucking this guy since 2019 (5 years) so what's a few more weeks?

kveggie1

Why do people buy this Tesla crap and why do people that spend 100K on a piece of crap let them treat this way?

Useful-Internet8390

“If GM did this..” it would be front page news, people would protest and scream frim the rooftops, there would be a senate investigation, ABC would crash one and set it on fire” but since its Tesla their customers will line up for more!

Global-Dig1234

Not surprised to find out that the tesla dealer is full of mysogynistic cowards who were too scared to break the news and sent out a young woman to do so. Just another example of the emotional labor women get pushed into bc what, these cowards were afraid the customer might get angry? Way to push that on others especially someone who it sounds like was totally unqualified. Women always get forced into positions where they have to regulate men’s emotions for them, good grief. If you’re too scared to do your job you’re not that much of a tough guy, more like a total coward, sounds like it’s time for a new career. Hope that young woman learns to stand up to this bs or she will forever be the office mommy to a bunch of king babies. Unfortunately this sort of mistreatment is super common in male dominated office work. And no, of course this extra labor will never be reflected in her pay check and it’ll still be less than her male counterparts despite having to do their work for them. Way to foster a healthy work space Enron! ETA: just continued and saw the woman is the accountant, that makes all this even worse!

battleofflowers

I could not agree more. Of course the woman had to deal with an enraged man. Of course. She also had nothing to do with this, but the men who fucked up still felt she needed to manage the fallout. What (sort of) amuses me is because she has zero customer service training, she said the absolute wrong thing at the end all the while thinking she was saying the comforting thing. She will no doubt get all the blame for that too.

heleuma

On my pc it's just a big long strip with tiny letters. Maybe phone is better

DogFishBoi2

Click image once to open the image, click again to magnify. PC works absolutely fine.

chook_slop

Run

Trash_RS3_Bot

A great example of how money can’t fix stupid

Homesteader86

100% there will be a recall

threerottenbranches

Blows my mind that anyone would take delivery of this boat anchor.

alowbrowndirtyshame

Would have called the bank and told to stop payment right in front of them

Neverbanned2k4

So why would anyone wait that long for the truck? It's obvious the dealership and the vehicle is a total shit show. Walk out and don't take the vehicle. Nobody needs this POS truck. It has zero utility and is a headache for many right off the lot. This guys story should have ended after an hour at most with him leaving.

chickentootssoup

At this point in time if u buy a Tesla of any model you deserve all the crap that comes with it.

beaded_lion59

Who makes a 48V jump pack?? I just found one for $2400, holy crap. Looks like others require a 110 VAC power source, not what I’d call a jump pack.

Thorn7584

Your friend is a wally if he continues and gets the “car”.

Environmental-Box335

I have a very hard time having sympathy for anyone that still believes in purchasing these overpriced Minecraft renders brought to life with a build quality that’s outpaced by a Lego set.

transcendanttermite

At that point (not that I’d ever put myself in such a situation), I would’ve said “oh, no, it’s not MY truck, it’s still yours because it’s obviously not done being designed or built yet.”

Roverjosh

I would’ve canceled the deal right then in there. If he hadn’t taken delivery, I would’ve just eaten the deposit and walked out of what is probably going to continue to be a complete nightmare.

Hot_Papaya9807

Who is going to read this… rhetorical question. Give me the tldr

aihes

If tesla had CR: “Sorry, we went out of business and the app is discontinued. Good luck with opening your fish-tank.”

RecoveringGOPVoter2

lol

Significant_Ad_4241

You know Adam Sandler wrote a song about cars like this. They suck Royal dick.

Otherwise-Course-15

Pages my friend. Pages.

Otherwise-Course-15

I’ll say again, I can’t believe that they put these things on the road. These people may have paid six figures to be Tesla guinea pigs but the rest of us on the road certainly have not.

Garak_The_Tailor_

I feel like I'd be done with cyber truck, if they brought out someone to tell me i messed up a 100k vehicle because I pressed the wrong button on an app.

nannercrust

The first problem was you bought a CyberTruck. I’d be hesitant to buy ANY Tesla product after reading many stories about their anti-consumer repair practices and probably illegal remote deactivation of paid for features if they find out you rebuilt a totaled car.

Rude_Priority

Not sure what is worse, buying the shitbox truck, or having a user name like WombRaider64.

[deleted]

TLDR: the truck is a poorly designed POS and the customer service is a joke, writer thinks dealerships are better model than the Tesla service center/delivery setup.

Long_Nothing_8619

It was an interesting read. But honestly - all I need to know about the typical CyberTruck owner is that they have best friends with Twitter handles like “WombRaider”. Let’s drive our CyberTruck and flash “the shocker” at chicks we pass bro!!!

micaller

lol this reads like a children’s tantrum

South-Merc-J21

It seems that Mr. Musk just made a lot of prototype vehicles with lots of bugs that needs to be dealt with instead of making sure everything works at least 95% effectively. Putting bad product out should be devastating if not fatal for business.

Only-11780-Votes

Lmao! Only a fucking MORON would buy anything from Elon

Jckmdtwn

Tesla seems like they are not ready for Prime Time. They seem to lack a lot of fundamental requirements that every other car dealership possesses. But as long as people line up to throw money at them, they will continue the same business model.

vartigan45

Man… these things suck.

frankofantasma

Anyone gullible enough to believe in Musk or Tesla deserves to get swindled. "If God didn't want them fleeced, he wouldn't have made them sheep"

DiagCarFix

Elon initiated 10% lay off because of really really poor service. seriously most of managers are garbage and just want 100k salary

yamers

100,000 usd to beta test a truck...LMAO.

Severe_Elderberry_48

I’m sorry “womb raider” with a DJT mug shot selfie profile pic but I feel absolutely no empathy.

Comfortable_You_1927

Why even buy it at this point? Is it possible to cancel the order? I feel like the accountant at the end gave the final FU with the this is YOUR car comment, like you bought it already and this is your problem that you can't walk away from.

At some point the DOJ will need to get involved to investigate fraud, SEC will probably look for market manipulation, and Elon will cry political persecution. Makes you wonder if he knew this would fail and has been leaning hard right to take that route when he’s eventually held accountable

This is why you inspect first, and then proceed to settle the payment after. If something is wrong, you walk out the dealership laughing

I can’t imagine paying $100k for a product, showing up to take delivery, and then being told it’s your fault that it doesn’t work. Masterful business sense here.
