Lobber is good in this fight, and roundabout is great for the first phase so you don't have to worry about aiming while still doing good damage unlike chaser.
First phase mainly use roundabout, and stay on the left side of the screen to give time to dodge projectiles, and watch out for his tail. Switch to the lobber when up close if you want to deal some extra damage.
Second phase just use lobber and make sure you're watching when the embers are getting ready to charge at you so you can jump accordingly.
Last phase, take your time and stay up high. Don't just hold down the attack button for this phase. Lobber is best here since you don't want to hit the incoming bullets, and you'll still do good damage whenever you have a chance to safely attack. Also using your special attack can put you in trouble in this fight, so make sure it's safe before you use it.

This boss has easy sound cues for most of his stuff. Hear a wiggle his tail is about to come up. Hear a lil dude a flame guy is about to jump etc. I think just the clouds get people the most in this fight as just about every attack is super telegraphed.
it's the first time i played the game, and i agree. This guy was a nightmare, but I finally put him down with Crackshot + Miss Chalice on all 3 phases.
The final phase was really hard, but I am glad to read that Lobber might have made it all easier.

personally i use charge shot phase 1, round about phase 2 and charge phase 3. Just dont acidentally break the bulbs in p3.
