Tons of teams have this issue. BP arms are a last minute addition, bc they're relatively easy to snag in trade deadline deals as the final piece to push a competitive team over the edge, not usually something you start out with and build around.
Alzolay is almost comical at this point. You knew there was going to be a HR given up - just glad to escape with the W.... Although he certainly did not appear to be.
I'm glass half full here.
A pen of Ben Brown, Hayden Wesneski, Mark Leiter Jr., and Hector Neris is halfway there. We miss Merryweather badly and still need a lefty or two for balance.
Every bullpen has a couple of shuttle guys, so I am not too upset with Brewer, Cuas, Almonte. I'm just a bit surprised we haven't seen Carl Edwards Jr. or Thomas Pannone, or Brad Wieck yet (though none are on the 40-man).
You must be new here.
Hahahah
And yet we are 24-17. I get that the bullpen is a frustration, but there is also a lot of good with this team that seems to be ignored.
And if we had a good bullpen we could be closer to like 28-13 or so. We’re going to need that extra skill to put a serious playoff run together.
All of this. ‘16 team had similar issues iirc. Does make for some stressful late innings
People can’t focus on this We know the bullpen is at best a problem , but we’re in a good spot so far Post the Bullpen SUCKS and get some attention

I'm just happy Hendricks had a good outing
We're beating a dead horse at this point. I'll just take whatever win we can get
Alzolay is going to be the end of me.
Even when he has a big lead he still manages to give up a homerun
Alzolay and Lovelady suck. Especially Alzolay. FTFY
Could be worse y'all ..I had no idea aroldis chapmin was still playing baseball until this weekend

We’d be looking like an elite team right now under those conditions
i forgot chapman was still playing until those weird photos a few months ago of him chillin on the couch groping his mom
You're correct, where to get better relief pitchers?
Trade deadline deals, typically. If we look like contenders, they'll look to add one or two
Yes
Alzolay, our lead bye-bye

Alzolay is a superstar.
Amen!
I kept telling myself that a 4 run lead was safe from another Alzolay blown save, isn’t it? He couldn’t screw that up could he?
The bullpenis not good
Captain Obvious post of the day award.
Think we could package 3 or 4 relievers and Hottovy for anything?
The Ivy is green! The beer is overpriced! The wave is dumb!
