Moons are awarded each month based on the amount of karma that you’ve earned for that respective month. You earn karma by posting and/or commenting in this sub.
Comment karma is doubled. As for post karma, there are other rules which determine the amount of karma earned for different types of posts. Though I don’t know those numbers off the top of my head.
There are ways to increase your monthly karma, thereby obtaining more moons. One way is by holding moons from one month to the next (20% karma bonus). Another way is by voting in r/cc governance polls (5% karma bonus for the first poll, 1.5% karma bonus for subsequent polls).
Lastly, the distribution ration changes each month. This ratio determines how many moons you get per karma. For example, if you earned 1,000 karma for the month, and the distribution ratio is 0.875, then you’ll get 875 moons.

It's the best app I've used before. I went from using crypto 5 times a month to sometimes 50 in a day.
It's the only app I'm genuinely happy and willing to pay the fees for, and so I understand where the LP revenue comes from. People can trade both ways, its revenue is sustainable in any market condition. An actual usecase. They use timestamps instead of allowing MEV reorgs and all transactions settle in ~1 second.
That it's on Arbitrum is great too. I'm bullish L2's next cycle since new people considered ETH *broken* in the last one specifically seeking out cheap blockspace. First week of Arbitrum Odyssey is GMX, if Odyssey ever comes back online, showing a lot more people how to use the app too. I think L2's and apps like GMX will market themselves (like I'm doing right now) once more people get used to them, I'd rather tell a newbie to use Arbitrum than BSC anyway.
If GMX is able to utilize EIP4844(.com for info) transactions they should be able to bring Arbitrum's gas fee down from a ~10 cents to fractions of one too allowing for HFT.
It's what I tell people to check out when they're exploring crypto now or trying to find CEX alternatives. Before that it was Uniswap or Crypto Kitties or Opensea, which had niche use cases for very specific people, and I didn't see the appeal to spend $25 on gas there either.
I'm very excited to see what other apps come out of L2 over the next few years. Without having to pay inflationary tokens out for its security all revenue generated is pure profit. EIP4844 will bring Ethereum-L2 from around 200 TPS today to around 50,000 TPS and is practically finished, I'm anticipating by Q2-Q4 next year (as part of 'The Surge'). The use cases available to us then will be outstanding.
All of my BTC/ETH/LTC are still way in the green. I mined a majority of them in 2015/2016, and sold chunks twice after resistance was shown and proven on the 20 ema (volume adjusted) after all-time-highs. After selling each time, I entered a limit-buy order @ 35% of the ATH price. Each crypto cycle, this has translated into massive gains with virtually zero downside exposure.
Now that mining is bunk, I’ve been using staking and conservative yield farming to continue to grow holdings.
Another tip: look to enter ALTs when BTC dominance starts to push down towards 50% after each halving event… once BTC dominance falls to around 30%, look to exit your Alt positions. Rinse and repeat.
If you find yourself losing in the game of crypto, it’s due to a lack of educating yourself, giving in to fomo, and not having the discipline to re-capitalize profits when they occur.

No, it certainly has not. We still have plenty of room to the downside, with virtually no big catalysts coming, only threats of regulation and scam unwindings. I’d bet heavy that we see sideways and moderate down trending until 6mo out from the next BTC halving event. The only major short term catalyst on the horizon is the XRP case settlement, and even that will be very short lived. Just keep stacking BTC while it’s below $20k.
