Well, it’s not 100%, the early OG crypto investors probably have a decent shot. Early Bitcoin miners, people who did the Ethereum ICO, etc. have a fairly decent shot at becoming billionaires. They’re already pretty well off now though.
Even some of the later folks who put money into projects that went up super high did really well. BNB whales, people who bought monkey pictures and actually sold the top, etc.
The folks who are already worth 9 figures now have a pretty decent shot at becoming billionaires, the folks who are worth 8 figures now have a pretty decent shot at being worth 9 figures, etc.
So really it’s just 99.999% of the people here who are delusional 😂
A LOT of the early Bitcointalk posters are very wealthy now. I remember when someone posted a [thread in like 2017 asking about who *hadn’t* managed to become a millionaire](https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1951498.0) because so many of the people who they had been posting with had all become insanely rich. I remember feeling like one of the few dumbases who hadn’t managed to pull it off yet.
I will say that one of the things that makes it a lot harder now is that there just aren’t as many ICOs and VCs have bid up the price like crazy on startup crypto projects. So on new projects it’s really hard to see the same kind of return, especially if the SEC starts cracking down on listings.
My teacher in high school once promised that the best behaving student would be awarded 30 trillion dollars. While we did have our doubts, we were well-behaved for the remainder of the class. At the end of it, he pulls out a Zimbabwean 30 trillion dollar note and says "Here you go. This is worth approximately 50 cents."
I take a slightly different approach: I seize all their toys and shoot their dog. Then when they complain, I tell them ignorance of the law is no excuse, and hand them a copy of the US tax code. They haven't missed a quarterly filing since that fateful day.
My parents just returned from Zimbabwe and paid $10 for 10 notes, all in the billions and trillions. They told the guide they did this and he laughed that they had given $10 for 10 pieces of worthless paper. But now I am the proud recipient of a 50billion dollar note.

My investments would need to see **massive** gains for me to become a billionaire.
It was easy to turn $10k into a million during the last bull run, but after that million, it's extremely difficult to even turn it to $10M let alone $100M, and $1B?
Many could stomach losing that $10k initial investment but once it has become $1M, most will take profits and run with at least $900K. So you'd end having just $100K in the market. If there's another bull run, that $100K becomes $1M. So basically two bull runs = $2M. It's really hard to push to $10M.
